Been here twice and the sushi and service has been great every time. Pricey but delicious and in a nice area. At night time the outdoor area is really nice.

We truly enjoy coming here for dinner or lunch. This visit we did lunch. My youngest got a bento box because she likes the variety that comes with it.

This entire area is pretty cute, especially at night! We love going on sushi dates, and while we were visiting family we decided to check this place out for dinner. I'd give it a 3.5, nothing special but we also weren't expecting much. The service was good, got seated outside and did not wait too long for our food. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. To my surprise they were a few large pieces. I can't remember which rolls we got, but you can see them on the photo attached (it's been a few months since our visit). Overall it was an average sushi place. Be sure to walk around the area! There's also a bar across from them that was really good.

Not gonna lie, this place wasn't my first choice. My first choice (which I'll keep to myself) had over an hour wait and we were ready to dine immediately. We called ahead and Sunny's could take us right away. A name like Sunny's doesn't really sound like a nice dining experience to me. More like donuts or sandwiches lol. But me and my love enjoyed ourselves and the service was stellar! I wish the waiters wore a name tag so I could shout him out. I could have asked. The seating was a little tighter than preferred, but we were seated at a booth and felt a TAD distant. I enjoyed my shrimp tempura rolls and my love enjoyed his chicken fried rice. They have an extensive sushi menu. Initially I thought it was all overpriced, but I was actually impressed with the portion size. The server brought out complimentary miso soup and kimchi (spicy pickled cucumber). Wasn't crazy about the miso per usual (nothing in Sunny's), but the kimchi was pretty good. I would recommend this spot for a nice little date night. Maybe not a first date though. The decor inside is nice, but outside doesn't look too inviting. Just being honest. Enjoy!

I am celebrating a milestone birthday this year- I am old enough to get a Medicare card! I was wondering how a lack of festivities due to the pandemic was going to impact things. All I can say is I had a wonderful time today! A coworker took me to lunch here at Sunny's to help me celebrate and warned me to wear my elastic waist pants. The wait staff was extremely attentive; the food was plentiful and beautifully presented. I told my friend that I had never tastes salmon as fresh as what they brought out- it was buttery and melt in your mouth delicious. I am grateful to Sunny's for continuing to remain open with several options - dine in, dine outside and takeout. This is a blessing for us in El Paso at this time and I thank you for being part of my birthday celebration!

I should have listened to the most recent review. We sat outside and we're the first ones to arrive when opening. The tables were filthy. Sticky, crumbs, and garbage. I ordered a cucumber roll but I wanted the rice on the outside instead of the seaweed like the menu said. They said that was not possible which was weird because I always order that and have from a dozen sushi restaurants. My son ordered spicy tuna and salmon. It was not good at all. He didn't finish it. The cucumber was not good at all. The prices are way to high for this kind of quality and unclean place. Will not be back. $50 for food that was not good.

I had to have bloodwork done at the nearby Quest Diagnostics. I was hungry afterwards so I decided to give Sunny's Sushi a try. I did a pick up order. I placed the order on their website. I'm really glad I finally tried Sunny's! Their website was easy to use and navigate. They have 4 total locations around El Paso. The service I received when picking up my order was great! Everyone there was polite. I was also pleased that my order was ready when I arrived. Both of these are not always the case. I was happy about it! Also, all of the employees were wearing masks. The place was spotless! Dine in is offered in their outdoor patio. There's also indoor dining available. There's very few types of sushi that I like. I guess that's because I don't like seafood that much. I usually go for a California or veggie roll. I decided to go with the California roll this time. It had avocado, cucumber and crab. It was tasty and the ingredients were fresh. I love eating sushi with lots of soy sauce! Yum! My bf doesn't eat seafood so I got him a teriyaki chicken salad. It was also delicious! I got one for myself. I felt like the salad's portion was pretty good. All of the ingredients were also fresh in the salad. We will definitely return! We would also like to try their steak. I'd also like to try more of their appetizers and their veggie roll. They offer lunch specials and catering. Not sure how their other locations are. I'm sure they're fine, too.

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and so helpful with recommendations. The amuse-bouche of watermelon with Tajín-style seasoning was a refreshing and thoughtful start. The wedge salad was the standout of the night, generously portioned, perfect for sharing, and absolutely delicious. The pesto spaghetti was equally impressive, with a beautifully balanced sauce that wasn't overpowering. I ordered the miso black cod, which was cooked perfectly and beautifully flaky. While it leaned a bit salty for my taste, the quality of the dish still stood out. The ambiance is dark and intimate, perfect for an upscale dinner, and the iPad menus were a helpful modern touch. I was finna get the 6oz sirloin, which I have before and it's nice. Then I saw the 8oz Helen breast anyway you want it. Mmm I think I'll get that instead. Then I'm scanning on down the list and see 8 oz chopped round. With mushroom gravy. I can't do potatoes right now but I could do rice. And add a salad bar and some steamed broccoli, still only be about $21 and that's with the ice tea. And fresh baked bread and butter at the table. So I ordered that with gravy in the rice, cuz I likes gravy on it ALL, and I did add the Broccoli for $3.95 and a salad bar for $4.95. But she let me hold putting in the order so I could get most is the salad are before they started it. So I get it fresh, not sitting on my table for 20 minutes getting cold like last time I came when I barely got back to the table with the salad and they brought my steak out. The cook FAST here. Salad bar here is IMMENSE. And so many choices for salad, Romain, mixed greens or spinach, tons of toppings and at least 10 different kinds of dressings. At least 6 different what I call "prepared" salads like macaroni, potato, carrot, pea salad, beets and onion salad, some kind of angel hair with green online and bell peppers on olive oil and black pepper and a dash of vinegar? It's so good when they have it. Two soups always, today was tortilla and vegetable, which upon inspection looked more like a creamy potato with carrots and other veggies and diced potatoes of course, maybe they just had not changed it's name plate. I make a wonderful salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love chilled plates. When my lunch/dinner came it was on a huge round plate, the ground round was suspiciously SMALL. I used to work in a cafeteria and we sold 8oz chipped steaks and they were rice the size of what was in my plate. It actually really looked more like a hamburger patty. It would have fit perfectly on a small hamburger bun. If I had to guess I'd say head it's 1/3rd pound burger. Which is a tic over 5 oz. Not 8 ounces. The brucellosis was a large serving and bright green, and almost still raw. I could not cut it with a fork. I had to used a steak knife. I should have asked that it be steamed fork tender. That's on me, I guess. I just don't like "steamed" broccoli that still could pass as salad bar accoutrement. There was no gravy in the rice, even thought I expressly asked for gravy in the meat and rice. So as she sat the plate in front of me and asked if I needed any this else I said "gravy" and she said oh that's right it was supposed to be on the rice, I'll get some gravy. And a minute or so later another smiling lady brought me small bowl of gravy. The sweet tea was perfect. I even had a refill on that. The ground steak was cooked nicely, juicy and hot, the mushroom gravy was very flavorful and the rice pilaf was a perfect companion to it. I forgot to take pics, sorry, I just dug right in. This is still a great early dinner price and great choices. I'm definitely gonna get the 8 ounce chicken breast your way, next time. But which way shall I choose??? Decisions, decision!
