Service was good! Garlic fish was amazing. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer and it was way more than two could ever eat and oh so fresh! Even the tomatoes on the salad looked Ike they were cut right as they brought it out. The music wasn't my favorite but the food was worth it. We will be going back here again. First time here. Heard from my brother in law that he liked it. It's a "hole in the wall" place. Pretty small but we came at a very good time (Saturday at 4) and it was empty. Now to the food.. I ordered the Shrimp Chile Con Queso.. really good flavor served with tortillas. Then I ordered the Fish Soup. It was a good size (medium seemed like a large) Large size pieces of fish and good amount. Good flavor. Next I ordered an order of the Battered tempura fish tacos. Very big pieces of fish. Absolutely delicious!! You can tell that all of the seafood is fresh and expertly prepared. Choose the time of day that you visit very carefully. It's an extremely cozy venue. Not small, but homey. The single Lapa ceviche tostada could be a meal by itself. The calamari was lightly battered but it doesn't fall apart when you add lime or dip it in the aioli that accompanies it. Try the Octopus taco! Then wash it down with an oyster shot! (Don't wear light colors when attempting to do oyster shots.)FYI. This place is a must try!! read more

So we decided to take our daughter to lunch and Lapa Lapa has some pretty damn good ceviche for being in El Paso. We got the Lapa ceviche which is a mixto and it was great. Lots of flavor. Of course there could have been more shrimp and pulpo, I will always say that unless it's all meat. Pure goodness. I purchased the LAPA Ceviche because I figured it had to be good if the dish is named after the restaurant. Boy was I right. The seafood tasted so fresh. Packed with citrus and a variety of seafood (shrimp, octopus, scallops), it was heaven once I took my first bite. The Tostada added the perfect layer of crunch and went really well with the ceviche. It was definitely a meal to try if you like fresh ceviche. I called in for a takeout order. I didn't realize that they had a drive thru window (which is super convenient to have) so I went in to grab the order. The food here was actually pretty good. The chips and salsa that came out before our meal were some of the best I've had in town so far. I highly recommend the Lapa Tacos (Shrimp & Chorizo). SO GOOD! Their food is amazing and that is saying alot considering the closest ocean is 1,894.21 miles. I really wish I took pictures of the food but we scarfed it down so fast leaving a trail of forks and paper plates in its wake. Amazing! Hidden seafood gem on the El Paso Westside. First impressions were great, small but comfortable and very clean establishment. Our server was very attentive and knew the menu items very well. We tried the fried calamari, the lapa lapa ceviche, the lapa lapa seafood cocktail and the garlic fish filet platter. All were delicious, flavorful and the presentation was great!
