Went a couple weeks ago. Service is always great! Friendly and efficient. Great Mexican atmosphere and very clean. The food was better than ever. I had two lengua tacos. They were so tender, beefy flavored and a hefty portion as well. Two is all you need cause soup and chips & salsa are included. My husband had the steak with the chili de arbol sauce. The sauce was deep with flavor (he said the best ever). Came with rice and bean. Margaritas are good not great. Gotta get a double. Will always go back. read more

Stopped by for lunch today order 2 taco dinners and 2 strawberry margaritas, margaritas were super light I'm guessing because of the price was only 7.99 for one so I ordered an additional shot to add to my margarita. They charged me 12.00 per shot? Which makes no sense so my hole margarita is almost half the price as a shot? They gave me 0 explanation... The prices don't add up here. This place is a gem. It's a quaint family owned Mexican restaurant. They have night and lively decor inside. Their margaritas are amazing and not too sweet. I order the lime on the rocks with a Tajin and salt rims. From their tacos to fajitas, everything is always prepared perfectly and tastes delicious. The only thing I would be wary of, is the shrimp. There was one occasion where it was a bit over cooked and tasted a little too fishy. Service is always wonderful and the salads are divine. Must try. read more

Yum! I love the salsas. Guacamole and chips fresh and delicious. I had an el pastor burrito with everything. It was tasty and hit the spot. Meat was a little fatty, good flavor and not overcooked. Had a really wonderful time here with my lovely family. Ordered the 3 taco dinner plate and wow, talk about a good deal. I grew up with my Mexican grandma's food being the Tops and I've had the privilege of trying many other dishes from other friends Grandmothers recipes. For me, I'm a harsh judge on rice and beans. If a restaurant does not do those items well, it's not a good sign for the rest of the dishes. El Campestre passes with flying colors. They put love and heart into their food. My brother in law had me sample his Al Pastor taco, it was fresh, well balanced, and delicious. My sister got a Carne Asada Burrito, I reheated half of it the next day, Delicious. I saw other patrons with a delicious looking Coctel de Camaron (Shrimp Cocktail). If I lived in the area, this would be one of my main spots. Check it out and support the local family businesses ! We have been coming here for a long time. We love this place. We had our favorites . Lengua tacos and Lomo en chili de arbol. Both we better than we could remember. We usually get the same thing every time. If we think we need to try something new we get tacos el pastor or torta pastor, both yummy as well. The chips and salsa combos, as well as the complimentary chicken soup, are always delicious. The only thing that is not perfect are the margarittas. They are too sweet and not tequillaee enough always need and extra shot. The michiladas are good. Would always recommend this place. Staff is friendly, music is good, and the atmosphere is traditional. read more

As good Mexican food as I have had in quite sometime. Authentic flavors and dishes but also other foods for kids and those who enjoy American influenced like chimichanga! Also a couple of Cuban dishes. You will not be disappointed by atmosphere, food choices, flavors or staff. Definitely worth your time and money! read more

Food is kind of bland...the steak and Mexican sausage tacos were excellent and the highlight of my meal but the steak burrito and grilled chicken breast platter as well as the fish tacos really all needed some spice..the chicken was plain..couldn't detect any spices whatsoever....was definitely missing something...I probably wouldn't eat here again personally....the food isn't "bad" by any stretch...I just personally need some more flavor and putting the rojo and verde sauces did nothing to improve the flavor..just dull....and the refried beans were watery and a weird color...not brown but grey in color....tasted just OK. Note that my order was a takeout order so I can't comment on the service aspect read more

My wife and I hadn't been to Campestre in a long time and I remembered us liking it, so we decided to give it another shot tonight. The food is very bland and dull. Service is adequate. I received my plate (chiles rellenos) before my wife received her taco dinner and on the next pass through (everything came in stages - the waitress was bringing my corn tortillas 5 minutes after dropping off my dinner) I asked her if my wife's dinner was coming. She said yes and then, in the length of time it would typically take to put together a plate of food, the dinner finally came. My plate was watery and dull, the rice bland, the beans as well. The chicken on my wife's tacos was just plain chicken breast, again, no seasoning or flavor. Overall a real disappointment. We won't be going back. read more

Figured I'd give it a try as they had decent stars and decent reviews on both yelp and Google... When you sit down they bring you chips and 3 different salsas. One is mild, one is a spicy red, and a green. I ordered carne asada which came with rice, beans, tortillas, and a basic salad, all was tasty. The Carne Asada is amazing. The burritos are a bit greasy but delicious nonetheless. Even the soup is something that you can rave about.

This place is on the nicer end of "hole in the Wall" type joints. It is a fairly big space, half of which looks like a carry out joint, the other half trying to be more of a sit down type place. The strongest plus for this place is it's diverse menu. I see alot of really interesting dishes on their menu that I've only seen on a few other Mexican places menus. The prices are on the money, and the service friendly if not %100 English proficient, definitely good enough. As for the food, I can give a definite very good grade to their steak burrito dinner. Pretty standard stuff, but I've had enough bad burritos to appreciate one of the good ones. I also tried the rib eye steak in chile Arbol sauce, which was good, if not way hotter that I really prefer in my Mexican food. Nothing here really blew me away, but so far it's the best Mexican food I found so far in it's immediate area. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! Don't pay attention to how it looks on the outside, the food is fresh, authentic, and delicious.

Great food and great service. However the soup they give you is quite bland, I prefer Lomeli's soup.

Service and food was great! First time here and definitely will come back when we crave for Mexican food.

Disappointing dining experience. Was with a party of 16 and service was slow and disorganized. We were patient in spite of one person's meal getting "lost" somehow and needing to be reordered. Food was only fair to average, which was disappointing after reading some of the good reviews here. Price was a bit on the high side for what I got. Will not return. read more
