    Súper Antojitos

Restaurante muy típico y auténtico con la comida Centro Americana. Great service by the waitresses and the manager. Plenty of space a tables for guests. Great for big groups. They also have a bar area with additional seating. They play music and sometimes have live bands playing. We ordered an appetizer called súper antojitos to start off with. Price is $25/$30 but it is so worth it! Great starter for groups of 3-5 people. You can down one by yourself but chances are you won't have space for the pupusas! In the video you'll see pupusas de frijol con queso and the Salvadorian favorite queso con loroco. So good! Only thing I noticed was that they were oily and the masa was falling apart. After we started eating them you could literally open them in half like if it was an arepa - which they aren't meant to be like. Overall it's a great place to enjoy a little taste of home.

Her customer service and attention to detail was awesome, ensuring she stopped by multiple times throughout to top off water and check on my experience. I went with the grilled Chicken breast and double side of tostones which tasted fantastic. Of note, I covered the tostones in the garlic like sauce while they were hot, which rendered them a fine combo of crunchy and somewhat soft- in short, awesome. Personally, no meal is finished without some form of coffee at the end. I admit this habit stems from my upbringing and a penchant for American, French and Italian fare but this was no different. I enjoyed a Cortadito which tasted amazing and had beautiful presentation. If I could rate this experience 6 stars I would. They knocked it out of the park. Note: They're FIU student, police and county friendly to boot.

It seems that rather than buying or ordering more Swiss cheese, they use a Kraft cheese substitute, which tastes awful. I'm ordering this item while I'm on my lunch break at work, mind you. We started with melon and dragonfruit drinks which were like aguas frescas. For starters we tried the Taquitos and Chancho con Yucca and they were excellent. The fried beans were creamy and delicious. In fact, everything on our plates was delicious! For mains, we had the Fajitas de Carne and Lengua en Salsa. Both were very good. I haven't had a tamale in a while so I decided to try the Indio Maiz; the sweet corn was good as was the sour cream and soft cheese. Yum. I really enjoyed Maranos. Guess we came at a good time cause later we did see more people come in. For starters, the staff here were all so professional and welcoming. Shoutout to MARIA for being the sweetest! Great recommendations from her. I loved the food so much. Mix ceviche -- so refreshing and loved the variety Jalea Bocas house (fried shrimp, fried fish, fried yuca fries) -- a little bit of everything and fried perfectly. Paired with the sauces. Skirt and fettuccine -- cooked as I requested (medium). Packed with flavor. SO FREAKING GOOD. Arroz cremoso de aji Amarillo with lomo saltado -- unique dish that worked so well. Recommend! Spicy margarita -- best drink here. Mezcal mule -- my mom and I didn't really like it because it was too smoky. Maria was kind enough to swap it out for us with another spicy margarita and didn't charge for the mezcal mule. Love the ambiance. They have daily promos on some of their items so be sure to check it out. I highly recommend this spot. 10/10

They boast both indoor and outdoor seating with the same aesthetic and nods to Colombian culture, like the cute hats and sandals hanging on the wall. We were seated inside fairly quickly on the Sunday afternoon we came in. They were pretty busy, but the waiters were kind of hanging out at the bar, just chit-chatting. We were able to get one of the servers to look at us after a couple of minutes of sitting there. They brought us a little palate-opener of a small portion of a simple soup. They had a margarita special we tried, $5 frozen margaritas. The maracuya (passion fruit) one was a solid choice. I also ordered the mojarra frita with white rice, tostones, and salad. The rice was really undercooked. The waiter tried to appease us by bringing us more of the same uncooked rice. We were not the only table to say something about it because our neighbors confirmed they too received the same and were also unhappy. Other than that, the rest of my meal was great.
