Downtown Orlando consider this your go to Dominican spot! Whether it's after work or a late night out these boys will never steer you wrong because it's just that good. The tree golpes empanada, tripleta sandwich aka Bad Bunny's favorite, and the fried cheese are personally my go to's although the Dominican pizza os's never to far behind!!! Let me know jar you get when you go!!

Although a bit difficult to locate the restaurant did not disappoint. There is parking behind the building and once you are in is like teleporting to NY. The food was amazing and while we were there we could witness the grind of preparing the food for the rush. The music the homie feeling like you are walking to your cousins house is there. I loved how it looks like every member of the family has a duty, even the 4 year old who is not allowed behind the counter....love it, love it, love it.

Yooooo. This was so good. I got the Philly and it was absolutely delicious. So much flavor. I devoured it. Service was really fast and friendly and they have a really good vibe. One of the best under the radar spots in all of downtown. Absolutely will be back.

Located on the outskirts of downtown this place did not miss. I went during the middle of the day on Saturday and I was the only person there which was so surprising. I ordered the tres golpes pizza and it was so good! The pizza "crust" was a flattened plantain and it was topped with crispy cheese and salami, and covered in a delicious creamy sauce. It's a Dominican spot and so worth it! I'll be back to try other things on the menu.

I heard a lot of good things about this place, out of everything the Chimis were definitely my favorite. Really good option for late night food in Orlando! Owners are also very friendly. Worth checking out

Loved this place. Tried it for the 1st time and will definitely come back. Traditional Dominican food and great music.

That was the most amazing sandwich I've ever had!!!!!! I was on that side playing music next door and decided to walk over and grab a Sammy when I was finished. GoT dAmN!!!!! if you're in the area and looking for a quick mouth watering empanada, sandwich or anything in between, I highly recommend the Chimmy, sandwich! O! M! G! That was The best $13 I ever spent! Don't pass on this place, you'll only be shorting yourself!! They even have Hookah's for sale there , and a cute little patio area.. Everyone there was upbeat and smiling. That says a lot about an establishment!! Joseph and Ramón absolutely killed it! Thank you! There is no doubt that I will be returning to this little spot!

I didn't know what to expect but I was so impressed. Came in for a quick dinner with a friend. We each got a bowl, her oxtail and mine pork. First off, the portions were huge. I couldn't believe how much food we got. And it was delicious. The service was great everyone was so nice and accommodating. A friendly place to try if you're looking for authenticity and a great meal.

Came back again to try the picadera & omg it was SOOO good. Enough food for two people unless you're with someone greedy LOL. So much flavor and soooo delicious!!! I'm pretty sure everything on the menu is just as appetizing!!

Amazing service! Chulín one of the owners got up and greeted ups right away, got behind the counter to take our order, brought the food to us and checked on us to make sure everything was okay, he even took a picture with nana. This is the kind of service that makes you want to keep coming back. He made us feel at home & the food was delicious but the vibes were everything. They have the coolest decor inside that makes you feel ike you're back in new york. They do a lot of events too like dominos, community things, music nights. Check them out you won't regret it

    Andrew S.

Been wanting to come here so I came at 3am in the morning lmaoo. It was vibe in the spot music playing, and dominos going. Maybe cause it was late and they was about to close, but them fries I have to come back try again cause they was not it. Chop cheese was ok it's not NY chop cheese but close. Spot is diffidently if you had night out and need some late night food!

The food was very fresh, and the flavor was on point. The side sauce tasted really good too. The inside is super casual (the music is a tad loud). You order at the register, then sit down, and they bring the food. A little bit on the pricier side, I would say, not a daily lunch spot for me personally, but I definitely will be back at some point.

Come get your OG taste of NY Dominican food in Orlando. This small business opened in the last year and is the injection of Latin Caribbean flavor you need on a Friday night. The music is upbeat and will have you dancing as you figure out your order. The owners are in the kitchen and taking the orders, it's all hands on deck as you watch them swiftly make your order right in front of you. The beers are cold, the flavors are on point. They aren't missing here and you'll know that off the first bite. You'll get your favorites from pernil, chimi sandwiches, tres golpes, tres leches cakes, tostones and more. But you'll also get fun creativity like the Pizza Terra golpes served on a plantain crust. Definitely will be back. Oh and pro tip, ask for the maduros in your sandwich.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, just as you'd expect from the wonderful Dominican hospitality. Our waitress, Yanette, was truly exceptional very attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. The food was delicious too we enjoyed appetizers, an entree, dessert, and some drinks, and everything was perfect. However, I wanted to share a small concern about the bill. There was a 20% service surcharge, which is understandable, but it felt a bit steep since we arrived before 5pm with only two of us. Out of that fee, about 14% went to the waitress as a tip, and 6% to the restaurant, which I find a bit unfair. It seems to me that the entire service fee should go directly to the staff, like our wonderful waitress, who did so much walking, smiling, and serving us with genuine care. The restaurant's prices are already quite high, so I hope the management will consider making this change. The staff deserves every bit of that service fee for their hard work and friendliness. You guys can definitely do better!

I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.

The shrimp tacos were a great deal for 8 dollars. 3 tacos with meaty and plump shrimp and fresh veggies in a light sauce. There was a small amount of spicy sauce to kick it up a notch. It took a while to order dessert, but the cheesecake (8 dollars) was fine and they were very to give me an extra slice. While the food is good, the service can be pretty slow and sometimes careless. I thought the people next to me at the other table were patrons, but they looked to be advertisers for the food and promotions. The other staff can get busy, so it is best to pack some patience. When I paid the bill, always a good idea to ask for an itemized bill, so you know what's getting charged. When I paid the bill, I think they first mentioned that it didn't include tip, and I didn't have proper change to give them cash. But after looking closer at the total cost, I am pretty sure it included 20 percent already. Staff needs to be honest about this. Honestly, you all know why I came and this is the reason why I always come on a Tuesday... The mechanical bull! It always comes on Tuesdays around 8:30, and normally ready to ride 15 minutes later. I did not see any other guests ride, and the only other riders was the advertisers. So I took a couple rides on it, and it was just a fun and enjoyable ride. Since the ride operator knows me, he normally goes at a pace where I can just enjoy a thrill without risking of falling off. Good practice before riding the real ones. Honestly, this cowboy is selfish. If it wasn't for the bull rides, the restaurant would just be another nightclub place.. While the food is good and the security staff are nice, the service can be slow and maybe dishonest. I still enjoy this place and love going on Tuesdays mostly because of the free bull rides. As long as they still have em on Tuesday, I will keep on coming to practice, and hopefully will be ready to ride the real bulls again soon! Overall: B- for the restaurant. A+ for the bull rides.
