When we first walked in the moods of the ladies behind the counter wasn't the best, and this is coming from a Dominican as well but their customer service was severely lacking. The place is pretty tiny inside but was otherwise clean. The food was good and well seasoned though and came out hot. Will not be back though solely based on how horrible their attitude was.

I came for the mofongo! Be sure to call ahead to order the mofongo, because it's made upon ordering it; most of the other food is on display (serving style). This is a primarily, take-out restaurant with a few inside tables for dining. I ordered the empanada, mofongo, and beef stew. The beef and sauce was very good; could be more tender, but the sauce on the mofongo was delicious. The empanada was okay... I may skip it next time, because it was a bit dry, or ask for a dipping sauce. The customer service was superb! The gentleman at the cash register provided recommendations, was friendly, and personable. I definitely recommend supporting this local business.

Always consistent, always hot, always fresh food served. Great place for lunch or dinner. Small dining area always busy and always make sure that the counters are clean. Definitely recommend the baked ribs marinated to perfection....love this place.

I visited El Cerro Restaurant for a to-go lunch yesterday with family. I ordered the Carne Frita and Mofongo. The Carne Frita were tender pork chunks with a lightly crisp outside and the mofongo was savory with a light garlic flavor and filled with pieces of fried pork skin. Overall, El Cerro is a good quality Latin restaurant.

Cuban sandwich is legit and filling. Measures up to those I've had in Miami. Mofongo is also recommended.

Support your locals baby! Downtown finallyyy has great Latin food and it's here. While they have…read morerecently gone viral on social media, I believe it's worth the hype. They bring together the best comfort food from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Staff were focused and very kind to everyone who walked in. The place is also consistently busy, one person leaves and two more walk in. You can expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your food but the upside is everything is made in the moment so it will be fresh. Pro tips: There is a small parking lot in the back of the building otherwise you'll need to find street parking. Also you want to set the moment right with Passionfruit juice or a Coco Rico!

Los Tres Golpes is the kind of spot you stumble into once and then spend the rest of your life…read morebragging about like you discovered buried treasure. We found it totally by accident, just a random stop next to a venue before a show and suddenly I was transported straight back to my NYC days when late‑night chimis were basically a lifestyle. They do have chimis here, but the real star of my personal universe is the Tripleta. Chicken, pernil, ham, lettuce, tomato, potato stix, and that glorious kreme sauce all stacked together like they're auditioning for the sandwich hall of fame. It's so good I don't even pretend to have self‑control anymore, I order one to eat and two to take home because future‑me deserves happiness too. Then come the maduros, sweet and caramelized just right, the kind that instantly hit you with Caribbean nostalgia like a warm breeze and a memory at the same time. And the empanadas? Massive, golden, and addictive. The shrimp scampi one is almost always sold out, which honestly just proves everyone else has good taste too. The vibe is pure Dominican quick‑bite energy: walk in, get hit with the smell of sizzling goodness, and catch the soundtrack of mainstream dembow or reggaeton bouncing off the walls. It's the perfect pre‑game, mid‑night, or post‑party stop, especially since they stay open until 4 AM from Thursday to Saturday. That alone makes them a community service. And because the business started in NYC, the staff will happily chat with you about the city, the food, the culture, whatever you're nostalgic for. It feels like home, but with better parking. If you want real Dominican flavor, late‑night energy, and sandwiches that will ruin you for all other sandwiches, Los Tres Golpes is the move.

I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.
