Food is really good, and boy do you get big portion sizes here! A lot of the plates can be shared between two people. They have many dishes already prepared and served cafeteria style, but you can also order items off the menu. I'll update this review once I've tried more of the menu items, but I did enjoy the food I had. To be honest, I just pointed to what I wanted, and I don't remember the name of the meat! They had so many options, you'll have fun exploring the food options. My husband was excited to see mofongo on the menu. Apparently, it's harder to find in Central Florida! Only thing - it's a small space, so be prepared to wait. The food is good and worth the wait, so there are lots of people lined up. This place is truly a gem! The food here is tasty, fresh and DELICIOUS!!!! We ordered the chicken, with white rice and black beans with a side of fried pork. What I loved was that my dish was extremely flavorful but yet not salty. Our food was piping hot which I love. You can tell they're not serving left overs from the day before with the amount of regulars who are in and out. We had fresh passion fruit and mango juice to top off the deliciousness of our meal. Tried it last week and loved it. I'm doing Keto diet for the moment so I just got the ribs and a few pieces of chicharrón. Yummy. Now, I'm not sure why my "not that big" of a plate costs 3 times as much as a bigger lunch - this is why I'm giving 4 stars. If that's the per pound price for meat, I suggest reviewing it. Found a new favorite. First time there -Henry greeted us and explained the menu to us (premade or freshly made menus). Casual, family-run (even abuelita is helping out in the kitchen). Got the lunch combo - choice of rice, meat, beans, and veggie (tried the pork, chicken stew, white rice and black beans (of course), platanos and mofongo on the side - better with the sauce on top. This place. It gives me a semblance of home (Miami). The food has lots of flavor, the variety is great. If you'd like to try some really good hispanic food, full of flavor, and portioned well, if not generously for the price, be sure to come here. Since becoming vegetarian, we typically order rice and beans and a side of veggies, and still, the flavor is on point. Their desserts are really good. I came in and ordered a coffee which was excellent. I also ordered ribs from the food that was on display. They were fall of the bone tender and I added picante. Very hot and tasty. I olalso ordered a bacon and egg sandwich. I had to ask was it ready after 15 minutes because it took forever. Hidden gem in Clermont. I am asian and they never give me a hard time communicating on what I want even tho sometimes I do get mistaken for being hispanic. I always get rice which is well seasoned, I get chicken quarters I think they either steam or roast this chicken because its always very tender and fall off the bone. They also have great pulled pork, Im a meat lover so I get everything meat, they also have plantains and yucas. This place gets packed at lunch because its so damn good. Great people and Good Puerto Rican Food but not traditionally seasoned/cooked cuban food. Owner was even compassionate towards a man that came in and was asking if he could work for food - he told him to come by the back and gave him food. Like I said good people. If you are looking for good home style puerto Rican food (ie, Arroz con gandules, pernil, etc) this is a very affordable place. The did so I got two... they were nothing but chicken and pie crust deep fried. Very dry. No moisture... no flavor. Needless to say I've never stopped there again. My first time ordering from here and I wouldn't order again, unless it's the pre-made flan. I had really high hopes after reading all of the wonderful reviews on here. I ordered the stewed beef with yucca and stewed chicken with yellow rice and gandules. The beef was dry and hard, and the stewed chicken was really pale in color, dry and flavorless. The yellow rice tasted like it was stale and had been sitting for a long time. For just under $40, it's definitely not worth it. I do not recommend ordering from here. read more

This place has to have the most flavorful Spanish food in the Clermont area! It's so hard to find chicken empanadas where the chicken inside isnt dry and tasteless, this spot knows how to get those flavors kickin in the kitchen! Only complaint about the empanadas is that not even a quarter of the empanada was filled with chicken :( All three of mine were only had chicken on the very ends. My favorite here is the mofongo! It full of flavor~ garlic, onions, chicharrón bites OMG ITS BOMB!!! And the prices are extremely reasonable! Definitely a good spot to come to during a quick lunch break! read more

Excellent Spanish food. Even though I'm vegetarian, the rice, beans, mixed veggies and yucca are well prepared and delicious. They have the best fried sweet plantains (Maduros) I have found anywhere. First off, I am not very familiar with authentic Spanish food, nor do I speak Spanish (other than "college Spanish".. me llamo Niki). This place is awesome. I ended up ordering one of the Thursday specials of Chicharrones de Cerdo/Fried Pork with rice, vegetables, sweet plantains, and yuca. My brother got some sort of gizzard thing, which I definitely wanted no part of. It was also very affordable, I think it was $8.99 for my pork lunch special. Here is what I can say about this place: 1) My food was fantastic. I feel like this is what real Spanish food should taste like. 2) The people here were SO friendly. I'm always a little nervous when coming to a new place, but they made me feel welcome immediately with a "come on in honey!" as soon as I walked through the door. 3) The building is nothing special to look at, and the parking situation is "meh", but do not be deceived by the looks of this place, it is amazing! read more
