Don't let the drab exterior fool you--there is deliciousness inside. The decor and dining area isn't much, but you don't come here for that. The place is spotless clean. Came here on a suggestion. I was disappointed they didn't have a media noche on their menu but the Cuban sandwich was very good. The portions they give are huge. I got sides of plantains and mofongo and both were delicious. The only real downside was this place was busy. It was after the typical lunch hour and it was still busy in there. I guess that's a good sign though that the place is doing well. Either way I have a new favorite cuban place for Clermont. read more

The black beans were not legit Cuban black beans. I think if places claim to say "Cuban/puerto Rican" recipes should always remain authentic. These were canned beans with the minimal seasoning. Definitely not Cuban recipe. Very disappointed read more

It used to be a 4 star place with huge portions but they cut down on that so they only get three stars. I thought the container had shrunk when they gave me my food...and it had!!!! Thank god my cousin brought me here for my last day of vacation in Florida! This place is a gem! The girls at the counter were very nice and the owner was so friendly! I love their food, the staff is always so pleasant and helpful. The portions are great and it's reasonably priced. My favorite is the pernil (shredded pork) which is seasoned to perfection and any of their sandwiches. The line moves quickly but if you're ordering something a la carte I would recommend that you call it in ahead of time because the kitchen is always busy and might take a minute. I have not ordered from their catering but a couple of friends have and they have been wonderful. I give it 4 stars because for the money you are going to get an excellent Puerto Rican Dish with all the trimmings. The place is a hole in the wall and the service is cafeteria style. However, for the money you are not going to find a better place. In addition , they serve alcohol which is reasonably priced for a restaurant. I was able to feed four people for about 20 bucks. I asked the lady in line ahead of me what she was having, (because it looked delicious)! Me and the wife decided to have some Spanish food on Saturday. I decided to go by to see what was already made and do take out. When I walked in to the place I was surprise to find that they built a wall to divide the dinning area and where you order. There were to many people in line to order. No way of social distancing. Some of the people had not mask on. I understand some people will never get that a mask need to be used but I feel the restaurant also need to be more responsible. I went a few weeks ago, it was a spontaneous stop, and it was 11:15 when I arrived. It was not crowded at all, I placed my order for 2 sandwiches to go, not estimated time was given but I figured maybe 10, 20 mins tops. I understand they get orders by phone too, but if my order was done before the other phone calls, I expect my order to be done before thise calls. 15 minutes later a gentleman comes in, place started to get busy, is almost lunch time, he ordered same sandwich as me, and they told him will be done in 15-20 mins since they're getting busy and telephone won't stop ringing. So I thought ok my order should be coming soon if that's the estimated time they gave him., oh Lord I was way off. It was 11:40 when I decided to say something, I know should've said something before, it's been 30 mins and they kept saying your order is coming, for the last 10 mins. I got up, almost 11:50am and requested my money back, again they said your order will be out soon, but I had enough, over 40 mins waiting was ridiculous, so she gave me my money back. She said she will give me my sandwiches for free since they were done already and didn't want it to throw away, so I accepted, and miraculously not even a minute after I received my money, my order came out and at the same time as the gentleman who ordered 15 mins after me. I took my order and left, kept thinking on my way back home, how did she know my order was ready when she gave my money back, if it was ready why it wasn't given to me. Why my order was giving to me as the same time as that gentleman ordered waaaay later than me? It seems something off out of this. And it sucks because their food is amazing, I've been there before and never had problem. And if I was ordering dine in like they have to prepare at the moment, I would've understand, but for 2 sandwiches take out 40 mins waiting was way ridiculous.
