    Cancun Shrimp Salad
    Chloe M.

Searching for a place to eat with good ratings on our way to the beach, look no further! The parking lot was full and the wait looked long, but the hostess promised we'd be seated in 15-20 minutes. We took advantage of the clean restrooms, perused the menu, and were seated in a comfortable booth within 12 minutes. The Cancun Shrimp Salad was huge and delicious with a balance of ingredients (cause I hear it when I can't find avocado if it's promised, lol). The shrimp was also cooked perfectly. To top it off, I also really enjoyed the ambiance and artwork.

Went here for the 1st time on Saturday November 1st 2025 with my parents for a much needed dinner. We walked in and was greeted by a host who sat us down right away. This restaurant is decorated in a Mexican building style with pillars and nice stonework inside. The Host took us to a booth. Booth was comfortable. Server greeted us right away with chips and salsa, and got us started with 3 waters. We also ordered some drinks like the Blue Hawaiian 2X, and a bahama mama! They have an interesting menu ranging from different options from a fajita, vegan items, chicken dishes, salads and more! I ordered the Steak Fajita M, and my mom ordered the vegan enchiladas. Can't remember what my dad ordered unfortunately. Oh and this place doesn't charge one for a refill of chips and salsa. Waitress also did a good job of refilling our waters too. Food came out in a timely manner! I enjoyed my Steak Fajita! My mom also enjoyed her food too. For some reason my dad wasn't a big fan of his- but ate it. also the rice seemed to taste a bit starchy, but eatable. Restrooms were also used and clean. and overall this is a neat place and is big, has a bar, and a couple of rooms. Got our check right away, and paid via credit card. Hope to be back soon!

We stopped at El Cerro Grande Mexican restaurant on the way to North Myrtle Beach while looking for something other than drive-through/fast food. This location was convenient as it was on the way to our destination about 30 minutes away from Kings Highway and the main beach area. When we arrived around 8:30 pm it was really busy with people waiting outside. We thought it would be a long wait but when we came in, we're told 15 to 20 minutes realistically we only waited about 10 to 12 minutes for our table. The restaurant is big with Spanish influenced Ambience. We sat in a large booth because we had a party of five and it was very comfortable and the table was not overcrowded. Our server was prompt and took our order. We were shocked that our food came out within 10 minutes. I had the steak fries, which was very delicious and had a robust amount of grilled steak over the fries with cheese and pico de gallo and pickled jalapeños. It was a meal in itself and probably shareable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone coming to the Myrtle Beach area looking for something outside of the main beach zone..

Chicken Chimichanga with beans to go

Running those last minute errands before Thanksgiving and decide to grab some Mexican food to go. Had Enchiladas Supremo and Chicken Chimichangas. Enchiladas was excellent. Juicy chicken and tasty ground beef and a very flavorful enchilada sauce. Salad and sour cream were in a separate container. Chicken Chimichangas come in twos also very tasty. Freshly made chips with salsa fresco topped it all off. Will definitely be back again.

Blue Hawaiian. Grey Goose, Blue Curacao, pineapple, triple sex. Ooops sec

Enjoyed a great, great meal here on a visit to my aunt's and uncle's home. The chips they start you off with are addictive. Fresh. Fresh. Fresh and warm with a nice side of salsa. These might have been the highlight of my meal. I started off with the patron margarita with a sugar rim. Very nice but not to heavy on the Patron which I needed more of I got the camarones al mojo. Shrimp marinated in garlic, served with rice, lettuce, pico de gallo. Soft tortillas. I had another drink, the Blue Hawaiian--Bacardi rum, Grey Goose, triple arc, pineapple juice and blue Curacao. Very, very sweet and I am surprised I am not in a diabetic coma. Maybe I am and I just dont know it.

This place was ok. The service was excellent but they are very very pricey. Not alot of options for people on a budget.

I've had both great and bad here. The carne asada is terrible, don't order it. Fajitas ok, service great and chimichangas were good.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of our favorite discoveries. We had just moved from Virginia to Conway and were still getting a feel for the area, so everything felt new. The restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but the real draw? A peaceful view of the Waccamaw Riverwalk. Sitting outside, overlooking the water, we instantly relaxed--it was the perfect welcome to our new town. Then came the food--and wow. We were blown away. I ordered the seafood sampler loaded with shrimp, oysters, catfish, tater tots, and coleslaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My wife went with the pulled pork dinner, complete with classic sides, pickles, and Texas toast. We swapped bites and couldn't stop raving about how good everything was--especially for the price. Coming from Virginia, I thought I knew BBQ--ketchup-based and familiar. But this was something else entirely. That rich, tangy mustard-based South Carolina barbecue completely changed my expectations. It was a delicious surprise that instantly made me a fan. Our waitress let us know they served brunch on weekends--so back we went. Same riverside view, same laid-back vibe, but a whole new level of indulgence. I ordered the Brunch Chimichanga--crispy, savory perfection--while my wife went all-in on the Brunch Burger: French toast, sausage beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar, and hashbrown casserole. Yes, it was as incredible as it sounds. Now, Bonfire Taqueria isn't just a place we tried--it's a place we return to again and again. Great food, relaxing views, and a welcoming atmosphere make it one of our go-to spots to unwind, sip a drink, and soak in everything we love about downtown Conway.
