We were driving back from a long trip along I-95 and found this restaurant based on previous Yelp recommendations. I cannot agree more with what others are saying about this place. Very warm and welcoming environment. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very kind and inviting. The food was some of the best Mexican fair we've had in NC and if we lived closer, this would be a regular stop for us. Next time we are driving through the area, we will definitely visit again. Highly recommend! Portion sizes are LARGE and I wished we could have taken home the left overs. read more

After being stuck in traffic on I95 all day, we were in the mood for a sit down dinner, and fortunately this terrific Mexican restaurant is conveniently located off exit 73 in Dunn, NC, and is very reasonably priced. Also, clean and authentic, and NOT a chain. I love supporting a local business, rather than a big corporation. They take reservations, which I like; however, you don't need them, even on a Saturday night. The service is fast and friendly: our drinks and complementary chips and salsa came quickly. Even though there was a large group (25+ people), we were still given excellent service. Hubby ordered the steak and shrimp, which he didn't realize was fajitas, but he said they were quite good. The only issue he had with his meal was that he wasn't asked how he wanted his steak cooked, and didn't think about it until it arrived well done. I ordered the soft shrimp chimichangas, which were very yummy, and so filling I could take half home for breakfast the next morning. The sangria wasn't bad, and the price was awesome: only $3.75 per glass. Definitely worth a repeat visit or, in our case, a repeat stop off the interstate on our way to or from Florida. read more

Thrilled to find this amazing Mexican restaurant on a recent road trip to Florida thanks to my fellow Yelpers! As others have stated it's an unassuming little place right next to the Quality Inn hotel, but don't let that deter you: This is the real deal. Authentic Mexican food (and this is coming from a Mexican food snob), wonderful friendly service, and easy access from route 95. Lots of veggie options too, which is always an added bonus. Great choice! Located just off I95. Fast and friendly service. We were offered drink and chip refills without having to ask. We all ordered off the lunch menu. The meals were very generous in size for reasonable prices. The grilled chicken quesadilla was perfectly grilled with a ton of perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken and a tasty cheese sauce. Traveling through town and stayed at the hotel. I was pleasantly impressed with authentic Mexican food. Everything was super fresh, the wait staff was very attentive and we were very comfortable. The fajitas were plentiful and when i asked for more flour tortillas, they were promptly brought to the table and I didn't feel funny after asking for them. Super nice place and really good food!!!!! We decided to come here based on its good reviews compared to other restaurants in the area. I'm happy to write it certainly was as good as expected. We had the "for two" chicken fajitas, which turned out to be a perfect sizable serving for only $15.99. There are plenty of healthy options, and our server was excellent; super helpful and friendly! The shrimp was also tasty, and our side serving portions of beans and guacamole salads were good and portioned well. The corn tortillas are yummy and made there. This is one of our favorite places to eat. Not only is the food amazing, but the people that work are so friendly. I have never waited longer than 10 mins for my meal. Stopped here for dinner tonight on way to Florida based on reviews. Really good food, service and drinks. The margaritas come in three sizes--medium is more than enough. We both had fajitas with camerons (shrimp)--excellent. Very large menu. At the waitress' suggestion I added chorizo to mine (not on menu) and it may have been the best Mexican dish I ever had, plus very large portions. This place is much better than I expected, and better than our local place in Annapolis. Very casual atmosphere, lots of families. Prices so reasonable compared to home. read more
