We started with chips and salsa with an added queso dip. Good chips snd salsa. I had the Burrito la parilla. Steak burrito covered in cheese with rice and beans. Looked small but was packed with meat. It was flavorful and rice and beans were good as well. Wife had the Poblano. Unknown to her based on previous purchases at other restaurants this one was saturated in red sauce. It was ok but could have been better. She tried to scrap off some of the sauce but it's all she tasted. Unfortunately, she did not finish it. Another in our party had the Texas Fajitas which they said was pretty good. We stopped here after visiting the s Tellus Museum. The kids picked it out from Yelp. It's an extensive menu, but has something for everyone. When we walked in, it seemed as if no one was there. They had on mask and greeted us. Two of the kids ordered cheese quesadilla and French fries. I ordered steak street tacos and the older kid had the enchiladas. We had queso, salsa and chips. The older kid said there was too much sauce on the enchiladas, but he liked it. Would eat here again. read more

I came for the first time, and ordered the Barbacoa plate, I asked if it was tongue or cheek meat, first the server didn't know and went to check with the kitchen, he came back and said it was prepared from tongue, but when I got my plate is was clearly roast dressed to mimic barbacoa, I'm from Texas so I absolutely know the difference, I feel cheated. If not familiar with the area, they might be a little hard to find! Although not what I would consider a higher end gourmet Mexican restaurant, the food is certainly delicious. I had a steak, which had plenty of flavor. Perfect amount of searing. The cut was large and cooked perfectly. We didn't have anything alcoholic, as we thought the drink menu was somewhat overpriced. Service was prompt and pleasant. Our waitress had good knowledge of the menu. The manager (or owner?) checked on us near the end of the meal. Ambiance is typical Mexican fair, but appeared clean and well kept. If we are ever in the area again when time to eat, will have no problem eating here again. read more

This was our first time here. We came here based on the good reviews. So first the positives..the salsa and chips were pretty good. It went downhill swiftly from there. We got assorted items, some tacos, burritos, and a chicken quesadilla. All tasted bad. The beef had a very unpleasant taste to it, and the chicken was only marginally better. The quesadilla was very wet, and had no cheese in it. The rice had no flavor and was pretty mushy. The overall service was good, with friendly, attentive workers. A GREAT CHOICE! While driving home from Chattanooga, my husband and I decided to stop in Cartersville for lunch. After a quick Yelp search, we discovered this restaurant. It was simple and casual and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice and prompt. My husband decided to order a chicken burrito that came with rice, beans and a bit of green salad. I decided to order a grilled chicken salad with the ranch dressing on the side. I was concerned that the dressing might taste a bit salty and processed but was pleasantly surprised when I took a bite. It was nice and creamy and tasted as if it had been freshly made. It was delicious and paired very nicely with my well-seasoned salad. The salad was nice and fresh but most importantly, the chicken was not dry. My husband enjoyed his meal as well and was perfectly satisfied with the quality and quantity of food served. After living Florida during Hurricane Irma We decided to get something to eat. We chose Santanas Mexican grill in the Small town of Catersville as we arrived The captivating smell of grilled carnitas Brought us in , the minute we entered we Were greeted by the beautiful smile of Cecilia our hostess and waitress. She explained some of the dishes we were Interested in trying. We started we a couple Of Margaritas expertly crafted . I decided of course on the carnitas taco, Stuffed chile and beef enchilada. The meat Was tender and savory and the Chile was stuffed with melting cheese. My husband had the steak tacos with the rice and beans he was very pleased. The food came out hot and very tasty with all of the sauces that went well with each one. Our friends attend regularly. We find this place overcharging for the product received. Example 1. $19.95 for one Texas Tea? The top shelf margarita was overpriced as well as the condiments such as sour cream, etc. For average quality, we wish our friends would choose another place. Wow this is an amazing hidden gem. I just had a delicious frozen margarita from the special tonight for friggin' $4.25! Me and hubby probably got enough food for literally 7 or 8 hungry people for under $60 (seriously we have a TON of leftovers). Anyway I sampled the salsa, pico de gayo, chicken, steak, and shrimp. So fantastic! Seriously flavor overload. And I can hardly begin to praise how awesome the staff is there. Incredibly attentive, polite, and friendly. Just wow! I only thought I knew what good mexican food was, until I went to McAllen, TX. Now I'm spoiled. Santana brings those true Mexican flavors I found, and fell in love with, on both sides of the border. We moved from NY where there was a great taco truck or somebody making great tacos in the back of their store everywhere. This was like home Handmade tortillas , al pastor tacos were legit !
