The food was ok, but the service was terrible. The girl who is in the front has an attitude and clearly does not want to work. Not only did she give me attitude but charged me what I wanted but gave me something else instead when I asked her she said no that was what I ordered. I come here for the street tacos they have on weekends. They have this guy with a cart set up in front of the restaurant and he's usually there Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 10pm. He's not an independent vendor, he's a part of the El Chilango Villa restaurant. He takes cash only, so if necessary, be sure to hit the ATM before you come. I usually get four tacos, and I usually get the Al Pastor, Asada, Pollo and Carnitas tacos even though they have other options. He serves some of the best street tacos I've ever had. read more

So my family and I drove to this place all the way from San Bernardino to try it out. We are 100% chilangos. We ordered tacos de canasta, sopes, quesadillas with chicharron and cuitlacoche, a tostada de pata, they could have cut the pata into smaller pieces my mother said but she loved the taste. We also ordered a Barbacoa plate to take home. The food was all fresh and authentic. The red and green salsas were ok not too hot. Service was good. The waitress checked up on us a few times and was always asking us if everything was ok, or if we needed something else. The place is a little small, clean and friendly environment. I tried my first huarache here today, and can say I thought it was pretty good. It didn't have the more aggressive flavors in the pastor that Los Chilangos has, and the pork was more of a crunchy texture, being fried, but it was still tasty. The huarache had a layer of tasty beans, pastor, crema, cotija, tomato, avocado, and shredded lettuce. I do like the pastor better at Los Chilangos, but didn't try anything else. Food is really great! I had been here a few years ago and happen to pass by when they had their outside grill-oven to make tacos. The tacos were good with green/red salas and a mixture of onions with bits of habanero peppers. So I been a task to find great tacos that don't break the bank. Price is okay not bad. The tacos are okay. Tried the Buche, asada y Al pastor. Buche was okay not much flavor. Asada much better. The Al pastor had no kick at all. I was given there green and red house salsa, then asked for some thing that had a lot of heat. I was given a bag with habanero salsa. So dash home green salsa, no heat kind of bland. Red salsa a little smoky but bland. So I un wrapped the bag of habanero dumped on a taco heat was there but the flavor was off. Kind of had a seafood taste but not some thing you want on any taco. I could not convince my friend to try because I could I could only describe it as odd. Anytime you walk into a Mexican restaurant and everyone in there is Mexican good sign. Tacos are on point and cheap. And they also have a few different types of meat you don't see at every taqueria. House made salsa are good and the Aqua frescas are also worth a try. This place is great clean and very friendly owners. The food is from Mexico City so they have a lot of different dishes most people never heard of. It felt like home to me because my family is from D.F (Mexico City) for the people who don't know. I had alambres, a grill of beef, bacon, ham, chiles, onions and probably several other things I can remember. It was topped with quartered tortillas and would be great to share with a group. Ok the food is really good which is why i keep going back. Authenic mexican food. Service is not that great. 1st time gave them the benefit of doubt since everyone has a bad day at some point. Many times it can take a long time for them to even notice you. Waitress hides in the back. Once i saw other people ask for the bill and she calls out total. Ever since I came back from Mexico City, I've been on the hunt for some yummy authentic street food. This place satisfied my cravings! Their salsas are real good. Especially the red salsa, it's pretty spicy. Their fried quesadilla stuffed with pork was good. Their tacos de canasta where the best. Home made tortilla smothered in extra oil and stuffed with either potato, fried pork or beans. All the food that was order was tasty and legit. The only thing that could have been just a little better was the pambazo. The bread was dry and not soaked/soggy like it's supposed to be. Maybe next time it will be soggier and smothered in the chorizos fat. :) read more

This little place is in a tiny corner next to the Albertson's. The waitress was super friendly and told me "you will probably want me to explain everything on the menu" ... this was because the menu has nothing I have really heard of except for the main titles like "tacos, gorditas, sopes... " etc. Anyhow, I got the gordita (sounded like they were making the tortilla thing by hand) filled with some strange cheese, cilantro, onions, and beef that was cooked in coconut juice. Everything about this was good except for the beef, it could have been tender rather than hard and chewy, and I did not taste the coconut, I loooooved the outside tortilla, it was thick, crunchy/chewy at the same time. YUM. Also, the next item was tacos con tripas (I had a hankerin for small intestine).. it was fried, so pretty crispy-yet that nice smooth/rich flavored texture umm..kinda like cooked liver..or pate. This however, could have been better flavored. The red sauce (some roasted pepper sauce) and the green sauce (tomatillo) could have been more flavorful which would have better complimented the meal. This place is amazing!!! We had a special request delivery from this place and the food was bomb!!! The meat was very fresh and succulent! All of the ingredients like the tortillas were hand made. The taste of the food was beyond imaginable!!! We had recently had a bad experience with other Mexican places but this place met our criteria. Been here quite a few times since it's my best friend's favorite place. I'm on the quest for the best sope. I enjoyed their tacos before and I saw their sopes, my friend orders them all the time. They looked good, so I got a carne asada one a week later. It was good, would of been a whole lot better, more than just good, if the sope itself had crunchiness to it. It didnt, it was soft and doughy. A shame, because the meat was delicious, they used the right cheese, the salsa was good, everything else was good, but would of been a lot more enjoyable in a burrito, a tostada, as nacho toppings, even in a burnt corn tortilla.
