After 5 calls to my usual to-go place I decided to try something new... Customer Service: 10\10, my call was answered in ONE ring. Flexibility with my order- I had the chance to order mild or spicy Aguachilles with upgrades. I asked for extra onion and they did not hesitate. Wait time: Call ahead! The establishment is only open for outside dining, underneath a very nice canopy and tables. I opted for a to-go order and I was there in 15 minutes. Was excited to try the micheladas as the pictures in the menu and web photos looked amazing. But stop wait a minute, being a michelada aficionado I came to realize the bait and switch. I was not impressed with the tomato juice coloring and very little amount added to the beer. It was bland and lacked the seasonings to back it up. On to the food, I order the shrimp enchiladas upon arrival I noticed the cheese was not melted on top of the enchiladas. I took the first bite and found the "seafood sauce" was cold. Cold as in it just come out of the refrigerator cold. My wife chose the shrimp diablo and the only flavor you could taste was buttered garlic. It was like eating the entire bulb of garlic. Far warning tho, the prices are a lil bit more pricey(hence the 4 stars). I ordered the aguachilies super delicious and the menu price was about $22 for it. Micheladas are Bomb.com for sure!!! Which run about $12 for them. Draft beers are normal pricing $6 for a big mug so thats great. Recently I visited this local restaurant/ bar with a few friends, I decided to buy 2 buckets of beer, ( 6 beers per bucket) 2 mixed drinks and 4 shots of tequila. When I was charged the bartender said I had to pay them separately because it was ordered from different people at the bar and they charge 4 different transactions, once I added the charges it came out to $298 dollars for what I ordered. Needless to say they are running some kind of fraud while charging customers, I called for managements the following day and they mentioned he was out of town. My husband ordered the campechana and the flavor was perfect, we also ordered shrimp empanadas, tacos governador, and a tostada mixta, which could've had more seafood, but despite that we enjoyed our meal and our micheladas. This place is known for seafood and micheladas. I had a shrimp taco dish that was very tasty #lovedit. The micheladas were sooooo good...my mouth started watering just thinking about them again lol. Our waiter Manuel was attentive, polite and offered great suggestions when asked for advice. Our drink orders came out fast and so did our food order. There's nothing I hate more than to wait excessively long for our order so their prompt service was very much appreciated. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a seating area for the wait because it was cold out and the cheap patio chairs. With all that being said Chilito is a place I would come to over and over. Manuel informed us of their awesome Happy Hour special... HALF OFF micheladas!!! (Which is Monday - Thursday from 4pm - 7pm). I can't wait to sip on another one of those delicious micheladas. As we all know there are 2 Mexican restaurants per block in Bakersfield That said I have just had some of the best Mexican food this town has to offer! I had a 2 taco dinner. One fish & 1 shrimp. The seasoning on the shrimp taco was yummy the fish taco was crispy & light. They have the 'best' refried beans. The service was prompt & courteous. Two reasons this didn't get a 5 rating. They only have beer, no wine or cocktails. I know it's very expensive to have a hard liquor license, but wine margaritas or just a glass of wine would have been nice. They had lovely Mexican music playing in the background, but it was just too loud for me. I highly recommend this restaurant for a tasty meal read more

Drive by this place often. Came to try out the micheladas. While sitting at the bar we saw a worker pour unused lemons from a table into the big container they were being served out of. We were amazed. The person behind the bar would go off to the side and text while wearing the gloves she proceeded to cut cucumbers with. No change of gloves or hand washing was seen.
