What an awesome whirlwind of an adventure to watch El Clasico live in Madrid. From the moment of the first inquiry into the trip Lemy and Regina were on top of it all, answering all our questions without ever being pushy or trying to sell us on something. Everything they promised they accomplished 100%. From the flights, to the shuttles, to the hotel, to the seats, everything went off without a hitch. I have never been to Spain and felt so at ease the entire trip knowing that Lemy and Regina had our backs the entire trip. I'm a neutral (sad Spurs fan here) and was blown away by the buzz in the city about the match. I cannot recommend this tour enough, if you have any interest in going to this match, it will be totally worth it to put yourself in Lemy and Regina's capable hands. This company works as follows: Local members of FC Barcelona give away for just one match their permanent seats in the stadium for which they pay an annual fee of around 800€ in exchange for money that el clasico trips pays to them. It would be all wonderful if it wasn't for the fact that is illegal for FC Barcelona members to do so. I understand it is not very ethic to build a company around an illegality or a legal void. Permanent seats in the stadium are passed from fathers to siblings. Some intermediary picks up the fc barcelona member cards and then once in Barcelona the clients of el clasico trips receive one of this cards to enter the stadium to be returned after the game. The funny thing about el clasico trips is that if someone adds the cost of the flight, plus the hotel plus the stadium tickets bought legally, it wouldn't add even one third of what they are paying to El clasico trips, so I gather this company takes advantage of lazy people who are incapable of organizing a simple trip to Barcelona. The trip was very well organized and included a 5 star hotel, private tour of Camp Nou soccer stadium, 1/2 day city tour, airport transfers and excellent tickets to the big game! Our hotel was beautiful and included a delicious breakfast buffet. Lemy did a great job keeping us informed about the trip details and made us feel at home in Barcelona. We saw the tv commercial for El Clásico trips so many times while watching la liga games. My son actually started a savings account based on the commercial and told everyone who gave him money for his birthday or Christmas that he was saving for Barcelona. We always said we'd go one day but it was always sort of a dream until the October 2019 match was initially postponed. I started to think maybe we should just do this. You never know what will happen in Spain politically and we don't know when Messi will retire. Being able to see he and the other players play on their home field is a dream. We flew out of NY on a Friday night, arrived on Saturday afternoon and stayed til Thursday afternoon. The gold package included hotel with daily breakfast, airfare, the Camp Nou tour (the tour guide is an awesome guy and a Catalan native), a city tour, and transfers back and forth to the airport and of course, El Clasico. While there we also had free time so we ventured out in the beautiful city on our own quite a bit. We visited the Picasso Museum, the Chocolate Museum, Poble Espanyol, did a full tour of the Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà, had great food, amazing coffee, to name a few of the things we did. We also met some nice people and learned a whole lot. I'm a big planner when it comes to vacations and I'm probably a bit anal when planning trips so going to Europe sparked many many questions for me. I rated them a 4 instead of a 5 because they didn't always get back to me to answer all of the questions I had. They also didn't always deliver on the additional things they said they were going to do for us. For example when I expressed interest in a Barca B game and the Messi cirque du soleil show they said they would get the tickets for us but did not. When I reached out to confirm before the trip they didn't answer. I was able to figure out the Barca B tickets on my own once I was there. We didn't get to do the Messi cirqu du soleil though since it was only available two of the days we were there. It's more my style to have things all squared away in advance and they offered. Since I was going to be in an unfamiliar city and was paying an agency I would have liked to have those things all set. They did however make up for it with the amazing seats we had at El Clasico. The seats exceeded our expectations. I know my son won't ever forget it. I also liked the convenience of the major things for a big trip being taken care of for us like the hotel and transfers to and from the airport and of course the clásico tickets. My wife and I purchased the Gold Package to see the "El Clásico" between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Our seats to the game were just behind the north goal, they were amazing. The tour company should get 5 stars just for that. The hotel accommodations were at a 4 star Marriott hotel that was within walking distance of the stadium, with a shopping mall right next to the hotel. Happy Tours also had a representative on site, named Julian that was committed to making our dream come true. Included in the package was a stadium tour and tour of the sites of the city by a guide that was very knowledgeable and well versed in both English and Spanish. We also had people pick us up and drive us to the airport. Every detail of our trip was top notch; I wish I could rate them more than 5 stars because they well exceeded my expectations. read more
