Where do I begin. A+ 100% from the first conversation I had with Rafael to the moment Maribel, our cook, arrived. Maribel arrived at the time the owner, Rafael ,said she would. She had to lift the grill up a curb. So I attempted to help. She gentle stopped me. She quickly informed me that she had it. It was her job(paraphrasing). I respected her immediately. She got to work. Set up EVERYTHING with ease. She respected and listed to my request. It was my beauty salon anniversary celebration. Therefore the public was around. We had wristbands, only those with wristbands should be served. She did just that. My son arrived, he went to get a couple tacos. He came back inside to me, "mom, I need a wristband." Everyone laughed, I gave him one then introduced my son. She apologized, I immediately smiled and laughed then told her, no apology necessary. We gave her cake. She laughed and danced a little. She enjoyed us and we enjoyed and appreciated her. The food!!!! The display!!!! The presentation!!! Everyone came to me complimenting the food as if I prepared it . She cleaned up and gave us EVERY LEFTOVER food and drinks there were. I can't speak enough about Maribel. I called and text Rafael several times. At no point did he make me feel as if I was a bother. Hiring Rafael for for our high school football team event for 220 people was such a great idea. Maribel and Ramon showed up on time. Went above and beyond to set up in a location that was perfect for us. The food was delicious and the set up was much nicer than your typical taco catering set up. They provide everything you need: Tacos, Rice & Beans, Salsas, four different delicious drinks including horchata , plates, silverware, napkins. Let's start with the quality of the produce , the meat is top tier and it's cut in strips, No nerves or a lot of fat on it , alpastor is flavorful and not dried out, the chicken is moist and well seasoned . The communication is A1 We had him cater my son 13th birthday party of 50 people at a private home and they showed up early to set up. Food was ready by the time we were expecting and we had 3 meat options asada, Al pastor, chicken, quesadillas full salsa bar corn on the cob and churros. Rarely is the food the true hit of the party, but everyone was blown away and had seconds. At the end, they cooked put all the leftovers in trays for us and cleaned up. 100% will have them cater again. This was my first time ever in all the years the taco man has been around that the tacos were actually great! I was at a graduation party that el comal catered. The taco guys name was Israel! He was a young super nice guy..he brought all his supplies with him including a table and black linen tablecloth (I've never seen them bring their own table cloth that was a nice touch) the condiments where all prepared, covered, and on ice neatly. The horchata was super good too! All the meat was seasoned super well and the tortillas were hot and fresh! Normally the meat is dry and tough and the taco shells are burnt or hard to chew..every taco was made to order and the condiments or tacos never ran out! I'm so excited to have come across this business! I had given up on the taco man years ago because they are so consistent! Hats off to Israel and the el comal team for great service, fresh food, and superb presentation! This business should go a long way if they keep this up! read more
