    Red sangria

I was really craving steak for dinner so I went over to El Conde, I had such a good experience. I ordered a glass of sangria, ribeye with rice and beans. I was given some bread to eat before my dinner came out. The ambience was nice and I enjoyed being there. The food and sangria were SOO good, no notes. The steak was medium rare and I got onions on top. I was genuinely so impressed and satisfied, the steak was definitely some of the best I've had in the heights

Hotel recommended this restaurant for authentic Dominican and it didn't disappoint even though I wished I could have tried more. Staff was kind and always checked on me. I came during Happy Hour and enjoyed freshly made red sangria. Although it wasn't on the menu I had the tastiest version of Pork Magongitis with a side of garlic sauce. If you're in the area, love Dominican food and music , stop by.

A 4 only because of the food and because I am a long time customer, since I was a child, from there original location on 175 st. The churrasco was amazing of course as was the mofongo but we were freezing. They couldn't figure out how to shut off the AC and had towels to stop the cold breeze from entering the restaurant under the doors.

Had an amazing experience here. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and staff was ever attentive and nice. Music and vibes were great. Def will be back!

I decided to try food from Gallego after hearing glowing reviews from friends and co-workers…read more Gallego is near one of my job locations and they're open 24/7. I was really excited by the selections as soon as I arrived. It was just after 10pm on a Sunday. So many choices-salmon, escoveitch seafood, fried fish, seafood rice etc. I ordered fried, white fish and seafood rice to go. The portions were generous and the rice was filled with all the right ingredients. The taste though??? Everything tasted like it had been sitting in warming trays for 24 hrs. Rice and fish were really dried out. Hot sauce and tartar sauce (from fish market on the corner) didn't help to make it taste any better. I'd go back again, earlier in the day when the food trays are being replenished. I would probably go for made to order seafood, instead of the the food that's just sitting. Gallego wasn't a total NO. A second chance is possible.

Good place...I would come back…read more I got some shrimp and octopus salad in a vinaigrette to stay. Very fresh... very good, served in a bowl on top of some chopped lettuce with a slice of lime. Some of the workers here don't really speak any English... but there was someone here who was able to help me even though my Spanish kind of sucks. A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck. A bit of a pain, but I forgive them since they've got a fully functional and clean All-Gender Bathroom. The stuff here ain't cheap, but it's quality.

I used to enjoy coming to 191 Pescadería, but lately the quality of the food has dropped…read moretremendously. The freshness, flavor, and attention to detail that once made this place stand out just aren't there anymore. Another major issue is the service at the register. I've noticed that the cashiers treat customers differently based on how they're dressed. If they assume you have money because of your clothes, they don't hand you your change -- instead, they quietly put it into the tip jar without your consent. Tipping should always be a customer's choice, not something taken without asking. It's disappointing to see a place that had so much potential decline like this. I hope management addresses these issues soon, because right now it's hard to recommend.

Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Also seems like crack…read moreheads get a fix in the back. I walked in to get a fried red snapper and some shrimp on a stick, it was a movie first they have a shell chandelier that looks like it has dirt and dust from 1995 it's disgusting right over the food. While waiting for my order I saw a train of crack heads exit the facility one decided to stay and converse (more like bother) customers who were waiting to order, the staff just looked and stayed quiet. After that I got up and left I felt extremely uncomfortable and it was too ghetto and too dirty for me. Sorry but I used to go to this spot back in the day and I don't know what happened to it. Washington Heights is becoming the gutter you see as many crack heads as you see rats roaming the streets at all time of day. Definitely a hard pass.
