This is a cute, cozy spot that I've passed by many times. I finally came here for dinner with a friend. The interior was simple and had plenty of seating. Their menu is high tech, featured on an iPad, which was very cool. We were served complimentary sesame bread with butter. I ended up ordering the Surf & Turf with pesto pasta. This consisted of garlic shrimp and filet mignon. The Shrimp was juicy, succulent, while the Filet Mignon was delightfully tender with deep flavor. The dish also came with vegetables, including broccoli, carrots, and zucchini. This was cooked well, with just the right consistency. The Pesto Pasta was also tasty, with tons of well seasoned, herbaceous, satisfyingly nutty sauce. Service was good. Our waiter was friendly and everything was brought in a timely manner. The prices were reasonable and there's even an Early Bird dinner special, which includes salad or soup with entree. I ordered the grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was bland. The food didn't have any seasoning. I had to go to Havana Central which is located a block away, and request some monitors to add on to the futticini Alfredo. I was born and raised in Washington Heights. At first, the restaurant was good: I'd have the penne a la vodka with chicken... then the chef got changed, the restaurant and decor had a few renovations, and the food became bland. I think this place is far from being an "Italian restaurant " a few months before this I had their prosciutto fresh mozzarella sandwich and it was so bare that you tasted the bread more as they had one long thin slice of prosciutto. I ordered their lunch chicken parmigiana Hero and it looked like something an 11yr old made in a toaster oven. One thin piece of chicken that didn't even reach the end of the sandwich and the sauce literally tasted like Ragú sauce that wasn't worth the $9.50. Great italian food in big portions and for great prices. I've only been to the physical restaurant once and it was many years ago for drinks. However I order often for delivery and I'm never disappointed. The pasta plates can easily feed 2-3 people and they're only about $11-$12 ($16+ after you add protein). My favorites are the penne a la vodka and the fettuccine alfredo. The garlic bread with cheese is delicious as well. I tried the fried tortellini once and wasn't impressed. Delivery is usually fast unless its a weekend but still worth the wait. I pass by the restaurant often and noticed that it has been remodeled so I'm def. due for a visit soon. read more

I ordered takeout through Grubhub and had it delivered literally 2 short blocks away and my food arrived 15 min late. I'm usually not a stickler about the delivery time but jeez I'm literally 1 minute away walking distance. I ordered the linguine pescatore fradiabolo: a pasta dish consisting of linguine, clams, muscles, shrimp, and calamari all in a spicy marinara sauce. It was quite tasty and the spicyness definitely amped up the dish. I also ordered baked clams which was absolutely disgusting. They piled on the bread crumbs and probably stuck it in the oven for 30 seconds because the bread crumbs was completely raw and crumbly. I thought it was a good idea to get some garlic bread as well but that was a major let down. It was basically Italian bread smeared with butter and sprinkled with garlic powder and dried basil. My bill came out to $38 and I was not impressed to say the least. read more

My husband ordered the chicken parm on their lunch special (an excellent deal), and I got the swordfish steak with julienne-sliced vegetables in a white wine and caper sauce. Both were excellent, and came with a side of pasta plus house salad. For the price point, it was high-quality food and a lot of it. They have an expansive menu with prie fixe options and daily specials. I loved my swordfish dish... the sauce was especially good! Have had about 5 different entrees and a couple of appetizers over time so far. All have been tasty. I've had different flavor margaritas, and those taste great too (passion fruit, tamarind, guava, etc). The food is very well seasoned, cooked well, and the sauces have a lot flavor. I've actually only gone during a week night, so we sit at the bar and have a great time talking to some of the regulars. I think the owner hangs around sometimes and they seem really nice. The service has always been great. The atmosphere is a very friendly, no frills, place. I went once on karaoke night and that was fun to see as well. I always tip well, and I was pissed off to be treated like this by a server when I had a legitimate question about their practices. And the manager, though apologetic, was unable to wave or move the automatic gratuity because it was already charged. Me and my friend had two drinks each one frozen margarita and one on the rocks the on the rocks margarita was stronger then the frozen but both were pretty good . When you dine in they also give you complimentary bread which was warm and soft . For appetizer we got guacamole and chips that was good the guacamole was very fresh . For my main course I got fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and that was bombbbbb it was so good nice rich and creamy with a big portion size me and my friend were able to share this and still was very full from it .The down side is this place is that the servers really didn't speak English so communication was very hard .
