This is probably the healthiest Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Love all the food options and how they plated my meal. Plus a choice of indoor/outdoor seating is a great! My personal experience with service was fantastic but I had some elderly family members (75-86yo) that arrived a bit after me and the waitress wasn't as patient with them. There was no help in accommodating the walker my aunt was using. I believe this oversight may due to the restaurant being short staffed as the waitress appeared to be the only one working the whole establishment plus a bartender. I ordered a taco trio which I paid an up-charge to get 3 options BUT later noticed another $2 charge for shrimp on the bill. I had already left by then so I couldn't question it but yeah, overall I do like the restaurant and would give them another try. read more

A small, festive, homey spot on the corner, busily decorated, and lots of personality. We came in on a semi-crowded Monday after work, but it had end-of-the-week energy--and I loved it! The staff was engaging and fun, practically in party mode. There was a birthday celebration happening, and they made the entire restaurant part of it, complete with noisemakers and shots. The food spoke for itself--these were the best fish tacos I've had in a long time. I'll be going back for them. My girls enjoyed their nachos, and the portion was big enough to take some home. Los 3 Charros provides solid Mexican food, including Birria, although their prices, particularly since the pandemic, have creeped up to level that makes it overpriced. Typically, I order for pickup, like their sandwiches. Given the other quality Mexican restaurants uptown, I'd recommend Los 3 Charros if you're in the neighborhood and have a hankering for Mexican food, but not a place to go out of your way for given the competition. read more

Needed something to eat but didn't know where to go. Just happened to be walking down the street and seen this place. Entered the establishment and was immediately greeted. I opted to sit at the bar. It was suggested to try the Rainbow Frozen Margarita. I ordered that and a Chicken Taco Salad. Good food and a tasty drink. Customer service was top tier, they are very serious about cleaning the margarita machine. A gentleman was throughly cleaning it when I arrived. Bathroom facilities were clean as well. Went to sit down and eat while walking by one day with a friend, we are locals and wanted to enjoy the outside seating on a warm day. Server with purple hair was polite at first but after sending out cold mozzarella sticks and getting my nacho order wrong, I asked for the nachos to be remade correctly to go and for the mozzarella sticks to be taken off as they'd arrived completely cold and hadn't been eaten, the server returned with the remade nachos but refused to take the $12 untouched and freezing cold mozzarella sticks off my tab. Asked her politely and directly to do so and she told me "it was already paid for". I asked her to kindly refund me and she told me I had to speak to her manager. My friend and I went inside to speak with him and politely showed him the plate and explained that the mozzarella sticks had come cold and hadn't been eaten, and he interrupted us to say that "he'd already lost money remaking nachos" which was because they made the order wrong and also was rude and irrelevant. I asked for a refund of the food that came cold and was uneaten and he refused and began yelling at us. My friend and I are both Black, Harlem is one of the only Black boroughs left in this city if not the only one, and getting harassed and profiled by a local spot for $12 that they were going to get back in tip anyway in 2025 was ridiculous. They're rude, anti-Black and they have terrible customer service for people who can't take nacho orders correctly and serve poorly reheated, already overcooked mozzarella sticks. If you are Black or care about how people in your community are treated I would avoid giving this place any business. I hope they read this and never forget how disrespectful they were over mistakes that were their own. Best thing we got was a mostly melted cookies and cream milkshake, and I wouldn't even recommend that. Hope business sucks! read more

I'm not sure what happened but we ordered queso fundido and what we got was really shocking. We ordered for pick up and when we sat down outside and opened it we were shocked. I forgot to mention that there's no way they couldn't have know what they gave us. Like it was packed into a container, packed into a brown bag and then placed in the plastic bag. I wandered into Los 3 Charros on a blisteringly cold day in NYC, frigid winds whipping every which way. All I wanted was a hot soup to warm me, and WOW did I find the right place! I had the exquisite Sopa De Pollo Con Vegetales with a side of Elote, and I could not have dreamt up a better meal to combat the icy temperatures. The Sopa was loaded with veggies and tender, delectable chicken that melted in the mouth. The elote was similarly delicious. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the friendly staff accommodated the cold temp with heat lamps and smiles. Great service overall! Came here on a date and it is surprisingly very close to my house, definitely will return here. The tacos were delicious honestly and dipping them into the bowl for the sauce was really fun and an excuse to eat messy :P. It is a bit cold since they keep one front door open for circulation but it's not going to be Winter forever and that should not deter you from visiting here. I was here on vacation from California and was looking for a good spot for Mexican food. I saw this place and went inside. It had nice outdoor seating, and inside there was a bar that served drinks. Two TVs for sports, it seemed like a good time. The restaurant had a decent amount of people there watching the Heat / Celtics game as well enjoying their drinks. The waitress was very sweet. She was very attentive to our table and came back often with drinks / water / chips and salsa refill. The chips and salsa were complimentary. The chips were crispy, but the salsa was abundantly watery. It was extremely difficult to even get any of the 'salsa' to stick on the chip. I ordered a burrito bowl for $15 and was content. It didn't stand out, the carne asada didn't hit for me, it wasn't all that flavorful. It was a decent portion size, but truthfully I would not get the same item again. I was thoroughly pleased with the service that I received. The restaurant was full of people having fun and enjoying their time, so maybe I was here on an off-night. If I make it back to NY I will try this place again, and try a different item! read more

This is yummy and authentic Mexican! Delicious salsa, guac, tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, and flan! Everyone at the table loved their dinner- no complaints! Portions are ample. The service was warm and friendly! The girls got virgin pina coladas which came with fun little umbrellas. The owner told us that they have their liquor license (finally) after enduring opening during the start of the pandemic. We had beer so we confirmed that.
