Wow... Thats all I can say to begin. The food was sooooo good. The torta de milanesa de pollo was so favorful and the fries were not too soggy, just right! The service is so attentive. The whole experience is just 5/5!

Wonderful home feel environment with delicious caldo de pollo. Service was pretty good considering the place was pretty full and only one person managing the tables.

Needed something to eat but didn't know where to go. Just happened to be walking down the street and seen this place. Entered the establishment and was immediately greeted. I opted to sit at the bar. It was suggested to try the Rainbow Frozen Margarita. I ordered that and a Chicken Taco Salad. Good food and a tasty drink. Customer service was top tier, they are very serious about cleaning the margarita machine. A gentleman was throughly cleaning it when I arrived. Bathroom facilities were clean as well. Definitely saved for when I am in the area.

Love this place!!! Their breakfast menu is stellar, I highly recommend the waffles. They're actually fluffy and delicious unlike most places that make waffles around here. But aside from that, this place is just the best. Delicious tacos, really great quality tortillas that taste homemade. The enchiladas were amazing, ate them too quickly to take a pic. Five stars. I'm excited to make my way through the menu. Oh and they have a vegetarian/vegan version of most of their meals

I'm not sure what happened but we ordered queso fundido and what we got was really shocking. We ordered for pick up and when we sat down outside and opened it we were shocked. I forgot to mention that there's no way they couldn't have know what they gave us. Like it was packed into a container, packed into a brown bag and then placed in the plastic bag. They had so many chances to rethink giving this to us. The Tres Leches was good however.

Sopa de Pollo con Vegetales & Elote

I wandered into Los 3 Charros on a blisteringly cold day in NYC, frigid winds whipping every which way. All I wanted was a hot soup to warm me, and WOW did I find the right place! I had the exquisite Sopa De Pollo Con Vegetales with a side of Elote, and I could not have dreamt up a better meal to combat the icy temperatures. The Sopa was loaded with veggies and tender, delectable chicken that melted in the mouth. The elote was similarly delicious. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the friendly staff accommodated the cold temp with heat lamps and smiles. Truly the most delightful and surprising lunch I've had in some time, I will most certainly be back.

Great service overall! Came here on a date and it is surprisingly very close to my house, definitely will return here. The tacos were delicious honestly and dipping them into the bowl for the sauce was really fun and an excuse to eat messy :P. It is a bit cold since they keep one front door open for circulation but it's not going to be Winter forever and that should not deter you from visiting here. Everyone was friendly and the service was fast and the food was very tasty and fresh. Definitely will return for the other items on the menu and practice my Spanish.

The front of house "girls" said a table would be available 1-2 hours but a seat at the upstairs bar was immediately available...tired and hungry we agreed. The kicker was: the upstairs tables were *completely unoccupied* and remained so for the hour or so it took to serve us a couple of drinks and eat a meal while seated at the bar. While the food and bar service was great, we expressed out disappointment of not being allowed to sit at a table in the *entirely vacant* upper level (BTW, it was wonderfully quiet up there, compared to downstairs). Excuses ranged from "short staffed" (despite three young women at front of house being deep in conversation with themselves) to "no server upstairs" , both clearly BS as someone clearly served us, but they were apparently "runners" not "servers". WTF? Seriously?! Heaven forbid two people sit at a table in an otherwise totally empty upper level. We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.

Decent size Mexican restaurant with some seating in the front and a handful of tables in the back dining room. We started with chips and guac. The guac is large so I understand the price. It was very good. No complaints. The chips could have used more salt though which is always a concern. You'd think Mexican spots would have a tortilla chip down by now. I ordered a steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and had pretty good flavor. I just wish there was more. Especially considering the price. Certainly not a bad quesadilla but the value wasn't quite there. Still, a fine option if you want Mexican food and you are in the area. I'd say the 3.5 rating is pretty spot on.
