I'm not sure I know where to start. Our servers name was Thomas . He was one of the best servers I have ever experienced. The atmosphere was beautiful. The food was simply amazing. Absolutely stunning bar and restaurant.

We are staying at the Mission Hills resort for my hubbies work. He had a business dinner so I came here in my own. The server who was also the bartender (Kailee) was amazing. She went above and beyond! The food and drinks were top notch. So happy I had dinner here.

A local, but very special "hole in the wall" seafood restaurant in strip center in Mount Dora…read more Nicely busy with locals as well as take out orders. Service was great. The food was marvelously well-executed - my dining partner's Maryland crab cake was mostly lump crab meat with only enough binder to hold it together and the whole-belly clams were simply off the chain. The 4-Star rating is for the sparse appearance of the presentation and they charge for hushpuppies as a side - which is a Southern cardinal sin.

To get in and out of any restaurant in less than 30 minutes is a feat and I pride myself on being efficient - but SHOUT OUT to the team here because my food arrived almost as fast as my order was placed! The Seafood Basket (shrimp, lightly-breaded) was a safe bet, with homemade slaw (not bad, but nothing to write home about). For an up charge, you can get the popular onion rings which I did enjoy. This simple, unassuming restaurant is a staple in the area and I can see why. The food is just fine, nothing too salty or over-seasoned. My server was great and the tunes they play here are SOLID (Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, etc.). I would absolutely return and bring my parents. Daily specials are available as is my recommendation to come here and have a Whale of a good time.

Went for a family dinner as first-timers, and everything was wonderful!…read more This quaint restaurant in the heart of Apopka brings tons of flavor and a fully stocked menu, so there's truly something for everyone. The cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for a family dinner or gathering with friends. I personally had the escargot and full lobster from the Magical Dining menu -- both were absolutely worth it! The lobster had plenty of meat and came with warm butter for dipping, plus two sides. I highly recommend the cheesy grits! Others in our family ordered the lobster roll, which was a huge portion of meat, along with the flounder and shrimp plate, hush puppies, and lobster bisque. Not a single dish lacked flavor or flair. Everything was so delicious that we ended up taking our desserts home because we were completely stuffed! We also split a pitcher of the sangria, which we were told is a family recipe straight from Spain. It had the perfect gentle sweetness and a smooth finish. Definitely worth a visit -- especially during Magical Dining! We can't wait to come back!

We shared it for lunch and both had plenty of food. The batter on the fish was thin and crunchy. It had such a great taste with balanced ratio of batter to fish. Something that is a must for good fried fish! The fries came with a coating--I'm not a fan of them. The homemade chips are highly rated, so next time we will try them. Our server was Jerry. Said he's been there for 30 years! That speaks volumes for the management. The place is bigger than it seems with nice outdoor seating on cooler days. They have a full bar and lots of fresh lobster and seafood choices on the menu. I'm glad we finally came.

Stopped by Salt Shack on the Lake for a quick bite and a drink, and it was such a great experience…read more I had a Bloody Mary and the coconut shrimp, and both were excellent. The coconut shrimp were crispy and flavorful, but the citrus mustard sauce was definitely the standout for me -- so good and paired perfectly with the shrimp. We were seated quickly, service was friendly, and everything came out without a long wait. The lake views are also a huge plus and make this a really nice spot to relax, even if you're only stopping in for something small. Great food, good service, and a beautiful setting. I'd definitely come back, especially to enjoy the lake views with another drink and appetizer.

It was fried and well prepared. It tasted pretty good. The fries were lukewarm, at best. My poor wife ordered the crab cakes that came with sautéed vegetables. I would put this in the top 5 of the worst meals we were ever served in a restaurant. The crab cakes were, at least, 80% filler. It tasted like the dressing my MIL used to serve at Thanksgiving, that nobody ate. She gave me a portion to try and I thought what little crab there was, had an off taste. The dish came with two spears of asparagus. The asparagus was flowered. It was picked two weeks after it should have been. There were also two sad pieces of plantains, ( I had to ask what they were because they were unrecognizable). It looked as though these may have been cooked yesterday. The rest of the vegetables were so greasy they were almost inedible. The whole plate was a lukewarm mess. The service was adequate, but we had to ask for silverware. The music was so loud on the deck that you couldn't hear yourself think. Absolutely no reason for us ever to come back.
