It had a slightly off flavor and smell, I normally would have spoken up, but once again I was in a time crunch. My dining companion really liked his food at least, and the server was fast and attentive. So it wasn't a total loss. Addendum; I did not suffer any "gastrointestinal distress" so while the fish definitely wasn't outright bad, it was probably right on the edge of it.

These came with 1 side. To us, we felt the food was overpriced. The mostly meat menu caters obviously to only meat eaters and the owner was not willing to make any changes as our friend wanted to leave the bacon oil out, and that didn't happen. What makes it disappointing is that City Fire in Brownwood used to have a decent crowd and a good atmosphere. Tonight it felt almost like a ghost town, and after experiencing the service, I can understand why. I probably won't be going back unless they improve the staffing and service. There are too many other places in Brownwood where the bar staff actually pays attention to their customers.
