    Cubano Sandwich, Media Noche Sandwich
    Virginia M.

Bad experience. I was so excited because they got really good reviews and the pictures looked great. I asked for extra cheese and extra pickles on both sandwiches. Neither one had it. It didn't even have enough cheese as it was, never mind extra as you can see from pictures. You should be able to taste each ingredients in every bite. The cheese didn't even cover the sandwich. The cheese on the media noche was sliced so thin that I couldn't even find it, and when I did, you could see through it. In the pictures that were shown on a website showed at least 3 to 4 slices of ham piled on top of each other. This had one thinly sliced piece of ham throughout. Bottom line is the sandwiches were so dry that I threw them in the trash. I even asked the GrubHub driver to ask the restaurant if they put extra cheese and extra pickles on it but he didn't ask. $30 in the garbage. Sidenote: if you want a good authentic Cuban sandwich go to Good Flavor Latin Restaurant on orange ave in ft pierce. However you will have to ask for extra pickles as they only put to the sandwich

    Plus they deliver.

If you're looking for an authentic Cuban sandwich THIS is the place. I've read all the reviews And had to check it out. You will not be disappointed. The owner was friendly and sweet , the interior was clean and well kept , and the Cuban sandwich was out of this world delicious. IT WAS HUGE. We are new to the area but this is our go to place for an authentic Cuban sandwich.

    Our new Cuban sandwich baby

Just left El Cubano with 6 pastelitos (guava & cheese, coconut and meat), 3 mamey milkshakes , a colada, and two Cuban sandwiches the size of an RV. All I wanted was a coffee. As a family we have a tradition of getting Cuban sandwiches on road trips in Florida. We just found the winner. The lechón was like a melted piglet on top of the ham and Swiss cheese. The car smells of Havana and I'll need a leaf blower to clear the pastry flakes out. Cinco estrellas. Would recommend.

We walked in and were greeted by a very nice gentleman who treated us spectacularly. We had our pick of tables..... we were also the only ones in there. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, and the chicken plate with rice and beans. I'm going to jump right in: The black beans tasted like they'd dumped the entire cumin condiment jar in by mistake. The cuban sandwich had the wrong ingredients and was odd tasting. The chicken breast was chewy like I'd been in a microwave. And the kicker....... The rice was at least a day old and reheated. This is unacceptable. I understand maybe some things were from the day before as often black beans can be, but not every single item. Not for a restaurant. This is your one job. We quietly left most of our meal, paid our bill and left never to return. The worst part was feeling duped. The one waiter and the one cook there acted like this was a great meal cooked to order, and they'd done all this work super fast. As fast as a microwave could warm it up. Gross. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes but that one meal cost you return customers.

Enough for two to split. EVERYTHING was very good. Words can't capture how good it was. Check out the menu and the picture of the sampler. I don't know all of what was what...but I ate all my half and was very pleased. My wife went back a few days later with our Puerto Rican friend and they killed it again apparently. AND it is hard to impress our friends.

The restaurant itself wasn't too large and had a bathroom in the back. They were able to clear a table for us and sat us down in good time. A man (possibly the owner?) came up to take our order and was very sweet asking us about our day how we were doing. Both my mom and I ordered the Churrasco la Estancia (my mom subbed plantains instead of fries) and my sister ordered the Pescado a lo Macho since she was craving fried fish. The churrasco was amazing, perfectly cooked, seasoned well and so so good with the chimichurri(?) sauce on top. My mom let me try some of her plantains and I wish I got those instead of my fries! We all loved the rice as well, something about the soft, flavorful fluffiness of it made it great. My sister was also very content with her fried fish and we were both pleasantly surprised by the fish stew that came with it. The type of plantains she got with that dish weren't our favorite though. The food came out in good time, but we had to come up and ask for the check because one of the waitresses was busy talking to another customer. Overall the food was great though and I told my mom I'd love to come again the next time we visit the area!
