Parking lot and restaurant was packed so we decided to eat at the counter. Immediately greeted and got a coffee and water. Coffee is always a big deal for my Nancy and theirs met the challenge! Off to a good start. Perused the menu and decided to get the Belgian waffle with 2eggs over medium and 2 sausage patties. We told the waitress we were splitting it she said she'd bring an extra plate. We 90% of the time share and tell them that and 50% of the time we don't get an extra plate. Next thing we know out comes our breakfast with an extra plate! Piping hot eggs, great texture and flavor to the waffle and a great tasting sausage patty too! A very nice experience today! Cute small town atmosphere and good food! We all shared the triple stack of blueberry pancakes, plain waffle with sunny side up eggs and bacon, eggs Benedict and a side biscuit. I'm personally not a fan of fruit in pancakes but my husband and daughter enjoyed them and the pancakes themselves were cooked perfectly. The waffle was really good, very tasty, looked overcooked but was actually soft and cooked nicely. The biscuit was large and easy for all 3 of us to share. The eggs Benedict were some of the best we ever had - lots of hollandaise sauce and ham and the eggs were perfect. In order of our favorites: - eggs Benedict (both my husband and myself) - biscuit - waffle - blueberry pancakes (pretty sure my husband and daughter would rate this above the waffle) Overall a really nice breakfast spot. It seems a lot of the patrons are regulars as the staff knew them and it just felt very small town and "everybody knows your name". Food is always amazing. I Recommend trying the waffle and their sausage links. This place is always super busy. You have to self seat and then servers will come to your table throughout your time there. Checking in frequently to refill beverages. You will have to wait for food, but they're very efficient, so it's not too burdensome. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are more spots across the street which work just fine. Very old-school environment, with tablecloths and chairs that fit that type of atmosphere. The grits on their own were super bland, they could use at a minimum some salt and pepper. Service: The service is very simplistic. The waiters serve more as food runners and do not really follow-up on you throughout the meal. You also seat yourself which could be confusing if you've never been here before. Also, this restaurant is cash only and they do have an on-site ATM if needed. Ambiance: I would argue this is the highlight of Kountry Kitchen. Stopped in for breakfast after checking Yelp for local diners in the area. Sat at the counter and the server was very friendly and offered me a drink and menu. I opted for some OJ which was industry quality and pancakes with sausage links. I enjoyed my OJ while waiting for my breakfast. I got it in a very reasonable amount of time and I have to say " best pancakes and sausage links" between both Brevard and Indian River Counties. The pancakes were the perfect size. Not too big like cake rounds and not too small like IHOP. They also had the buttermilk taste which was a huge plus since lately pancakes have been very disappointing elsewhere. The links were charred just right and still tender and juicy on the inside, Perfection!!!
