I've been to Eataly in Italy, New York, and Silicon Valley. I mainly come here to browse and I do buy a coffee, pastry, gelato, and /or something ready to eat every now and then. I can't really comment on the restaurant because I haven't tried. I simply grab and go. A lot of the products sold here don't cost much in Italy but none of us are in Italy. The prices are naturally premium due to the import tariffs, prime real estate, and specialty of importing local Italian brands. If you don't want to buy from here then just go to Costco to purchase a 2 pack liter bottle of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena or Barilla from Safeway.

Always love going into eataly and checking out everything they have on each floor. Haven't tried any of the restaurants yet but the bakery and the wine along with the market on the top makes me feel like being a kid in a candy shop. The staff are really helpful and I had to pick up a recommended bottle to try out. The shop itself can feel a bit cramped because there's so much stuff and people in there, but when u are there when it's less crowded you can spend awhile browsing. They have events and classes you can check out as well. Some are free and some you have to pay.

I love markets. I walked around and looked and also tried a lot of samples. This place is great. Please come and create your own adventure.

Eataly is a great concept, and I really enjoy their special events and grocery/wine selection. I would rate those aspects 5/5 stars. I've made my review today 3 stars because of their restaurants. I booked an outdoor table at Terra for a birthday celebration, but we were seated inside due to the outdoor area being fully booked. While I understand Friday evenings are busy and changes can happen, I was disappointed by the restaurant's response when I asked if they could honor our reservation. The food was hit or miss. We really enjoyed the vegetarian ravioli and burrata appetizer, but the chicken skewers were undercooked and not seasoned. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Eataly for their special events, but would skip dining at the sit down restaurants!

I love coming here for focaccia at the bakery. They have a great selection of vegan breads, and everything is clearly marked, so you won't accidentally buy a non-vegan item. I also love that they sell Felicia organic Italian pasta. Their red lentil penne is my absolute favorite. I also buy the chickpea fusilli and decided to try out the brown rice and spirulina spaghetti this time around. I love that it's made with organic whole grains and legumes filled with nutrients. I haven't found it at any other store, so I always stock up when I go to Eataly. It gets packed inside so it can be pretty hard to maneuver around when you're actually shopping. The self-checkout line moves pretty fast. I wish they had more vegan candy and snack options like Fida Bonelle jellies and Puntini Italian jujubes. I was looking for vegan Nocciolata but did not see it, perhaps it was out of stock? Not sure but I'd expect them to have it.

What a fun business to browse! It's a grocery store, mini home goods store, cafe, two restaurants, a butcher shop, a cheese shop all in one place! You can spend a long time just looking at everything! Everything is Italian so there are a lot of products that you can't find anywhere else. I don't live that close to here but if I did I would consider buying more fresh meat, pasta, salads, and cheese here on a regular basis! I bought this Nocciolata hazelnut chocolate spread. It was much more liquid than Nutella (which is very thick). I thought it was a lot more spreadable on my bread!

This is my third time here and I keep coming back for the fresh pasta. This time the pasta was a bit too al dente for my liking--almost a little tough to chew. The fresh tomato sauce was excellent though, and the noodles soaked it up really well. The clams were good, although a few broken shell pieces ended up in the sauce. That's somewhat expected with shellfish, but still a little unpleasant when it happens. I liked the loop-shaped noodles (mezzi paccheri) a lot. The carbonara was especially good--possibly a newer addition to the menu. The guanciale was fantastic with a mix of crispy, chewy, and juicy fatty pieces, and the cheese made the dish super saucy. Everything came together really well. I appreciate that they really focus on highlighting the ingredients here without over-salting--letting things like the fresh tomatoes, cheese, and seafood shine. Although I would have appreciated a bit more salt in the calamari. Definitely on the pricier side, but the portion size was actually perfect and the quality is there.

Some visits espresso & pastry hit the spot. The cashier rings up perfectly and the barista makes a good espresso. Some visits the cashier over rings and the barista makes bitter espresso.

Great spot for all your Italian related essentials, whether you're looking for fresh pasta, meats, or something from the bakery. The selection feels thoughtfully curated, making it easy to find everyday staples and specialty items you wouldn't normally find at a standard grocery store. It's on the pricier side since you're paying for imported goods, so it may not be your go-to grocery spot unless you're specifically looking for specialty Italian items.

Amateur hour at La Pizza & La Pasta. TLDR at the end. We arrived at 8:40 PM and quickly get a table with Mary Jane as our server. We ordered CAPRICCIOSA and the BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO with A RUOTA DI CARRO crust. After about 10 minutes, we get the CAPRICCIOSA and a MARGHERITA 'A RUOTA DI CARRO', not BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO. When we showed our server, she took away the MARGHERITA and said they would make a new one. It didn't seem like she realized the order was incorrect when she came over. It was around 9:10 PM at this point. The kitchen was starting to close. I encouraged my partner to eat her own pizza while I waited but she said it was too hot to eat at the time. This point is important. We wait until 9:30 PM wondering where the pizza was. We couldn't find Mary Jane. A different server noticed that we were looking for some help and offered to check on the order. We watched him look around and check the kiosk and realized the correction had never been sent to the kitchen. What he brought back under 5 minutes later was the correct BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO. Unfortunately, it was 100% the original MARGHERITA, hastily re-fired, with new ingredients on top. You could tell because it was lukewarm (not burning to the touch like my partner's when it first came out), the kitchen was closing, and the significant amount of charring underneath. The photos attached show the burnt pizza crust on mine and the proper amount of leopard spotting on the other pizza. I was hungry and saw the kitchen was already closed by this point; to be polite and get the staff out I just ate it. Our server checked in and I said it was fine. I wasn't going to expect them to remake a pizza this late after an attempt to correct it had already been made. We get the check and notice a triple charge for the A RUOTA DI CARRO style. 3 charges for 2 crusts. At this point I asked for a discount because of the burned, lukewarm pizza that I waited so long for. The server commented "Which pizza, the one you ate?" It felt passive aggressive, like 'you ate it so what's the problem?' She had her manager speak with us. I explain everything to the manager. He lacks the common decency and professionalism to take accountability and apologize. I show him the burnt crust on the re-fired, lukewarm pizza. He dismisses it and says the pizza oven can get "pretty toasty", which doesn't address anything, especially since the pizza was lukewarm when it got back to me. He said he will give us a discount but the total was $20 more on the revised bill. Ends up, they tried to charge us for a 3rd pizza because they "remade it". We ask about this and they changed it again to around $10 off the original bill. That was incompetent at best, malicious at worst. It also felt odd that our server disappeared on us, especially after claiming she would have them make the correct order. Then when she held the tablet for us to pay, knowing that we're looking at the tip screen, she asked if the service was okay. After everything, this felt insulting and as if she was fishing for a tip. The flavor of the pizza itself was good where it wasn't burned. I'm sure it's also better when it's hot. It's a shame that a restaurant that's predicated on representing a culture that prides itself on food would make so many mistakes in a row and not even be able to say sorry. TLDR; I get that it's the end of the night. But for $25-$30 per pizza, I would expect a hot, un-burned pizza, made to order the first time. I would also hope for more attentive service and, at the very least, an accurate bill.

I think this place is really cool. They have a café where you can get fast food, but it's actually very good quality. The café area is nice and offers coffee drinks, cakes, and pastries. They also have a gelato shop, which is the main reason I keep coming back. I love their pistachio gelato--it's very similar to the one I tried in Venice, Italy. There's also a supermarket upstairs that's really cute and has many Italian ingredients you might be looking for. The place is clean and the food selection is great. It almost feels like its own little mall. The service, however, can be hit or miss. Some staff members are very nice, while others just do the most basic customer service, and a few can even have a bit of an attitude. I've had all kinds of experiences here. That said, I still come back for their pistachio gelato haha

I recently visited Eataly Silicon Valley and really enjoyed my experience there. The space is huge, three stories with so many food & dessert options, especially pizza and pasta. I honestly wanted to try all, but just wasn't hungry enough, so I'm saving that for next time and try gelato only. The gelato was a bit pricey, but sooooo excellent. They let you sample flavors, and I really liked the vanilla and cherry, but ended up choosing tiramisu because it was the best, super rich and creamy with that classic tiramisu taste. Just a small note: it does have alcohol, so something to keep in mind if you're with kids (we were all adults, so no issue for us) They also have a ton of desserts like choux, mousse, cream-filled pastries, and different kinds of tiramisu. Honestly, it's kind of heaven for dessert lovers. Can't wait to come back and try more.

All Eatalys are NOT created equal. Not by a long shot. My first experience with EATALY was in Las Vegas and I thought even though the food was crazy expensive, the food quality and service was stellar. Worth the visit. BUT, this Eataly in San Jose is not good at all. The service is slow. The food, even after being reheated was cold and overpriced. I ordered: Bolognese Pizza: cold. Like a polar bears toe nails. Score - 3/10 Mortadella sandwich: it was basically just bread. With a hint of meat and a pinch of flavor. Just shoot me now moment. Score - 2/10 I'd much rather go to Domino's. And I would definitely go to Eataly in Vegas. But this one in San Jose... Eataly left me kind of bitterly annoyed.

2 people in my family do not eat dairy. Are most of your food choices flexible? Can we order food with no cheese and no onions? We are vegetarian and vegan friendly.

At their restaurant Terra, their menu has some dishes marked as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc., and requests like "no cheese" shouldn't be a problem.

Do they serve lunch on Saturdays or just brunch?

We understand the sell Gluten Free pasta in the market but can they use that to make GD dishes in the restaurant? and offer GF table bread?

Sometimes there's an indication on the menu with the letters GF. But I'm sure if you ask, they could probably accommodate.

Is there outdoor seating for the restaurants? If so, which ones?

They both have outdoor seating.

Is the place Dog friendly?

This is a grocery store and restaurant. Inside a building. Calif law means that NO it is not "dog friendly". It would be illegal to take a dog inside.

What time does the market close on christmas eve?

Usually, they are open until 11pm on Saturday night. You can email the concierge here. I have always had good luck getting a response. esv-guestrelations@eataly.com

Is there handicapped parking near the reataurant?

Yes, enter the parking garage and follow the signs for Eataly all the way to the roof parking lot. You will find handicapped parking right in front of the entrance.

Do they have pesto pasta?

They have a pesto pasta with green beans

Do they have WiFi?

Can you make reservations?

Yes, via Open Table. Make sure you know which restaurant you want to make reservations for.

Which parking lot do you use to park near the 3rd floor entrance?

Enter from Stevens creek Blvd to to the "Stevens Creek garage" right lane follow P4 Eately signage all the way to the top. Stay right and use the lane to come out onto the roof parking. Follow until you see the Eately entrance at on your left.

Do they sell birthday cakes?

I highly doubt it.

How can we make a reservation? Online booking isn't working.

They take reservations on open table for Terra and La Pizza & La Table.

Are there still a line to go in?

Hi- yes there is! And in order to eat at the restaurant a RSVP would be a good idea but if you're wanting to browse the market place or eat at the gelato, pizza, or bakery then there's a fluctuating line! :)

They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. Honestly, it didn't feel like a newly remodeled store. It felt more like they just put up a new sign outside. They might as well have had a banner that said "under new management." Lee's is known for their great sandwiches, so I expected more of a café-style setup where you could browse a variety of sandwiches and maybe sit down to eat. Instead, there's no seating area and the menu is just a large LCD screen listing sandwich names and prices with no photos. The store itself feels cramped, with most of the space dedicated to shelves rather than any place to relax or enjoy food. I was hoping for something closer to a Whole Foods style experience where you could grab a sandwich, a drink, and maybe meet friends. Instead, it feels like a typical Asian market without much innovation. The one cool touch was that every checkout lane had fresh baked baguettes ready to go. That and my sandwich was delicious but instead of eating it right than and there I had to drive home in traffic and eat it cold. I just love eating em' freshly made and the bread right out of the oven. For sandwiches, I'll probably stick to the regular Lee's Sandwich locations nearby.
