    The best chips and salsa.

El Fenix has been a Foet Worth institution for decades. I usually go to the Camp Bowie location. However, my kiddo works in Burleson so we decided to stop by this location after her shift ended. Happy to report that this El Fenix is every bit as g99d as the store on Camp Bowie. Everything we had was just great. I had the Tamales and my kiddo ordered a sampler plate with flautas and quesadillas. A fantastic meal for both of us. Highly recommend this establishment if you enjoy Tex-Mex cuisine.

Our waitress was super nice and very attentive. I wish I could remember her name so she could get a shout out. Stated with a K I believe. Salsa is ok. Didn't really have flavor and I prefer hot or room temperature salsa. Not ice cold. Food was good. Nothing outstanding but typical Mexican restaurant food. Taco was good and my wife said her shrimp were great. Nice looking ambiance. I guess the staff was the best part of the experience. I'd still go back again.

This is my first time to this location and we had a wonderful experience minus the hostess. No one was at the podium, so do we seat ourselves or wait. The young man passing by ensured someone would be with us shortly. Cool. A table for two please, before we could even get comfortable our waitress was there to take our drink order. A Sangria swirl, that's my go to margarita. It was so good. So I had to have another one. Don't judge me. I loved the chips and salsa. The chips taste so light and fresh. I could eat the bag. We ordered the El Jefe, making the substitutions to our liking and our Waitress Michelle w/trainee Amy were amazingly patient through it all. I ate it all, NO Leftovers. I'll worry about that later. I love how the staff worked together in all areas of the restaurant. ie: cleaning tables, bringing food out, serving drinks and finding the machine to cash us out, back to no hostess when we came in, she was bringing a to-go order up from the kitchen for someone. We arrived at a good time, not crowded, everything seemed to be in order, it was clean and the customer service was amazing. We didn't feel rushed to leave after eating, I still had to finish my drink.

I used to love this restaurant about 10 years ago. I would go to the original one downtown every time I went to the world trade market several times a year. I happen to be stopping through Fort Worth/Dallas area and since this one was on the way... I stopped and ate. Looking forward to a delicious meal..... The chips were the same as they were many years ago however, their food all tasted frozen and not fresh and they served mission tortillas from H-E-B. This place is supposed to be a homemade authentic Mexican restaurant and my white mama could've made better Mexican food.

Chips cold, queso tasted like it came from a jar, enchiladas tasted reheated and so did the taco meat.

The wait wasn't long when it came to being seated though there were lots of people coming in. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the Birria Tacos, which were yummy and flavorful, but I'd have to deduct a star because it was super greasy and was dripping with grease as we ate it. I've had plenty of Birria tacos and they weren't this greasy. Aside from that the chips were pretty good, but the salsa was on the spicy side. We also ordered the chicken sandwich and I'd have to say that that was one of the BEST chicken sandwiches I've ever tasted. The flavor combination with the breaded chicken was perfect. I inhaled together with the fries, which were delicious too! Overall, this place is great! I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu. Also, their mimosa was priced well at $5. My bf always gets one and other places have charged $8 and up for a glass.

I appreciated that there was a taco special, a lunch and dinner menu available; along with a variety of craft beers. We decided on the lunch chicken fried chicken, it came with sautéed seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes; we chose jalapeño gravy. I informed the server we were splitting the meal and was a bit disappointed that we had to do our own dividing. I really appreciate when the kitchen does that for you. Everything was delicious! The indoor dining area is quite large with a small bar, the outside area includes a stage and a bigger bar. I know bands from DFW area performed there. I look forward to going back..

I had contacted the restaurant…read moreweeks in advance and even stopped by a few days before to go over the setup and draw out how we wanted the tables arranged. Unfortunately, when we arrived the day of the event, nothing had been prepared. The tables were not moved, there were high chairs still in the space, and even a ceiling fan sitting on one of the tables. My family ended up helping set everything up while the staff moved the fan and cleaned tables. There was also only one waitress assigned to our group of around 40 people. She truly did the best she could, but it was difficult for one person to manage refills, service, and everything else for such a large party. We also had to wait on silverware since none had been rolled beforehand. The food itself was good, but with everything else going on during such an emotional day for our family, it added unnecessary stress. Sadly, the experience left us feeling like our event was not a priority, and because of that, I do not see myself returning.
