They had the best Mexican food ever and it was really good I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try this place.

Their food is a bit different from the Tex-Mex I'm used to here in Orlando, but not in a bad way! I had a bowl with steak and shrimp over rice, along with some refried beans. Pretty good overall...it could've used a bit more seasoning, but that's easy to fix with a little salt and pepper. Since I had my order delivered to my hotel, I can't speak to the restaurant's decor or the in-person service. However, the gentleman who delivered the food was very polite and even thanked me for doing business with them. I'll be back in Virginia next month and will probably order from them again, or maybe stop by the restaurant if I have time. read more

I decided to try the Carne Asada Con Cameron, a standout dish at this Tex-Mex restaurant. It features marinated grilled steak, and succulent shrimp served on a bed of Spanish rice, topped with fresh Pico de Gallo and melted cheese sprinkled with cilantro. My meal also included pinto beans, a small salad with ranch dressing, sour cream, and tortillas on the side. Excellent place to get a quick bite. The have breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes that all have the possibility to satisfy your hunger pains. The food has plenty of flavor and will no disappoint. Service here has always been good here and is very fast to get your food out! They have a salsa/lime/lemon bar that goes well with the dishes once your order is brought out. It's better than your usual casual, unauthentic Mexican restaurant. There's plenty of free parking and seating inside and out. On nice days, you may choose to sit outside on the covered patio. If you're not sure what to get then get the California burrito or fajitas. We like the order the fajitas on Mondays because they are only $9.99. As someone who really likes tacos, I thoroughly enjoy this place. I would recommend this spot for a quick bite to eat. I've gotten many of the individual tacos here and you cannot go wrong with any of them. They are bigger than I expected which is nice for the price you pay. My girlfriend and I have also gotten the chips and guac before and that was really good too. I still want to try some of the non-taco items on the menu but they look good from the picture. The service here is really good. I would say that they're very accommodating to food requests and they have offered us chips on multiple occasions to eat while we waited for our orders. I cannot think of a negative experience with the staff here. The ambiance is pretty casual and basic for a quick eat restaurant but there's nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't that the ambiance is the reason to visit. There are happy hour/daily specials throughout the week so make sure to check those out! I stopped in here with my parents and kids for a late lunch after the Uvdar-Hazy Center. It was around 2pm on a Saturday and a steady stream of business flowed both before and after us. Order at the counter, get a buzzer, and then pick up your food at the counter. They have a salsa bar that also has jalapeño,onions,and limes. They have a few beers (corona, Dos Equis,modèlo) and margaritas too. Chips are complimentary. My mom and I both had the #10 lunch special-2 carne asada tacos with guacamole. The meat was tender and I liked the chunky guacamole. The tortillas were grilled which was a nice touch too. It came with rice and beans (pinto or black) too; all for $9.49. Visited this location post-pandemic, airy and bright interiors, great staff and service. Love how the place shaped up in Chantilly. The food was fresh, I remember eating at the old location years ago and glad the service and quality of food remained the same l. We got the Elote corn, which was juicy but lacked the taste a little. The lunch enchiladas had a perfect portion and cooked well. I've been here a few times. And along with all the other great reviews. I have to agree. It's a pleasantry for the area. Food is great. I almost always order the Mexican Pizza and of course the tortilla chips. I've eaten in and I've taken it to go. Either way, the experience has been overall a good one. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I don't think I'll be trying again. We ordered the shredded chicken taco salad and carne asada tacos in corn tortillas. The chicken in the taco salad was mushy, like the texture you'd get if you cook meat in sauce/soup for too long. On top of that the taste was bland. And what really threw me off was there were black olives in the taco salad. I got a side of guacamole and even that tasted terrible. The carne asada tacos were just ok. The meat itself wasn't bad but everything else about them was bland. The rice & pinto beans were fine, but it would be pretty difficult to mess those up. I asked the man at the front what the most popular was and he said the Carne Asada taco platter which is on the lunch special for $10. It is a HUGE portion for me at least and I couldn't finish it. We enjoy El Fresco. Have been fans since they were located in Airline Pkwy. Their menu has a nice variety of options. Online ordering is simple and straightforward. Got takeout and our meal was ready in no time. Everything was neatly wrapped and labeled. Employees are kind and helpful. There is no salsa bar right now, I'm guessing because it's COVID-19 time. Our meals were fresh and flavorful. I appreciate that their dishes aren't overly salty. Portions are generous and the price is right. Their desserts are great, but we recently tried their Flan and it was OK. It has a jello-like consistency and is a bit watered down. I'll stick to their Mexican Fried Ice Cream or Apple Churros. Upon waking inside, the establishment offered signage that stated Happy Hour was is from 2pm-6pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful The young lady that took my order was very knowledgeable when I told her my food preferences. She gave a great recommendation! I started with queso and chips.. There's a separate counter that holds a salsa bar (pico, mild, medium, verde, onions, and peppers) for the complimentary chips or whatever else you would like to sauce up. I had Elote which was seasoned well and it had a good juicy crunch. The Shrimp Taco Platter came with black beans and rice. The tacos needed a little sauce, but that could've been me because I like my tacos dripping. The black beans and rice were flavorful and not dry . Although a different taste than authentic Mexican, I was happy the food wasn't dry and lacked flavor. I washed down my meal with a refreshing Frozen Peach Margarita. When I lived in the area, my family and I came to this restaurant a lot; we found it a great casual sit-down place to grab some reasonably priced food. We came to get to know our favorites: enchilada specials, fajitas, breakfast burritos. Our baskets of chips would get refilled constantly along with our many salsa cups. Finishing up the meal with fresh sopapillas or fried ice cream was a treat that ended our meal on the same high note we came to expect. We recently went to the new location for the first time. The food is the same - still delicious and fresh and similarly sized. Everything else is different. It is clear to a patron that the restaurant has pivoted to a focus on takeout and delivery; it is jarring to see the space shrink to maybe a third of what it once was and to receive all your food in plastic containers. The tables are tiny and need to be pushed together to accommodate more than two people comfortably, though the limited space made me wish we hadn't dined in. I didn't think I'd feel so strongly about the change in atmosphere, but I think I just loved the service and people and the way they created a comfortable space to enjoy your food. I would still vouch for the food every day, but I won't be dining in again. read more

El Fresco is solid, and I disagree with those that say it is expensive. Yes, it is very casual compared to other TexMex options like Guapos. But you still get a lot of food that is not your average Chipotle. Plus a salsa bar, decent beer selection, and a pretty setup to eat in. I ate here for lunch today. I ordered ahead and only waited a couple minutes when I got there. The order was correct when it arrived. I liked that they have a sauce and salsa bar next to the napkins and forks. I had the steak burrito bowl and it was so delicious. The steak tasted perfect and the vegetables tasted fresh. I miss the old location... The dinning room is super small. About 5 two person tables and no waiting area for to-go. The prices don't seem like that good of a deal and they no longer have margarita's. They took over Julia's kitchen and are primarily focused on being a delivery service and catering. They are not open for breakfast on Saturday Mornings and are closed all Sunday. I've gotten breakfast burritos and nacho's from here and other three times we tried they were not opened. The burritos are bigger than what you would find at Anita (still not large though), but they are also starting at 1.89 with no protein. It's about 89-99 cents per alteration on the basic breakfast burrito of egg and potatoes (that is protein, veggies, cheese, etc all about 1 dollar each). The burrito was A-Ok. The nacho's were just meh. I did appreciate that they packaged things separate for the nacho's togo (cheese sauce (liquid gold) in one container and nacho chips in the other. I have to say I really miss the old El Fresco. I was super sad to hear that they were shutting down due to rent control. I was over the moon to hear they relocated in Chantilly, however I am very let down that this is what they have become. I think if we ever do get food from them again, we will just ask for delivery; as this is what this location is trying to push and doesn't really entice people to come for a sit down. So much for a after work HH location or date night location. Those days are long gone. Would be interesting if they were to use that Chef's kitchen to offer cooking classes.
