After waiting over an hour in line & waiting for my food they did not make me what I ordered, the chicken flautas, and instead made me a cheese quesadilla. When I told them I did not order the quesadilla they said that they were out of the flautas but did not tell me that when I ordered. I took the quesadilla and it was awful. The cheese was not melted and it was a waste of $14.25. I do not recommend, the food was not worth the money and the customer service was non existent. read more

Located off the eight bus next to grocery outlet bargain market on Martin Luther King Blvd. this truck is churning out some of the most authentic Mexican cuisine! All of it is homemade, and they even have options like Lengua y Tripe! I've had their torta y Chile relleno and I'm even more impressed by their burrito i got yesterday! (For only $1 more I got it "wet" style!!!) They are not open Sundays, so try to catch them during the week. They have a little area for seating, I didn't get on camera ,that is shaded. Portion? Recently el Gran Taco truck came to my neighborhood and I was quite excited. My friend and I arrived ten minutes after they did, got in line where a nice crowd had gathered. I really wanted to love the experience but I can't say I did. I ordered the four chicken flautas which has been a favorite of mine, but this not so much. The chicken was very dry and bland with no real flavor to speak of. The tortilla shell's exterior side was nice and crunchy but interior side was oddly moist. This would result in the tortilla separating when bitten into because one side wanted to cling to the meat while the other broke apart. There was no cheese despite the description but there was plenty of sour cream, a bed of lettuce, and a couple small tomato slices. The rice was crunchy. The refried beans were great, but the tinfoil had been immediately applied while everything was hot resulting in the cheese melting and adhering to the tin foil. I had to scrape it off otherwise there was none on the beans. My friend bought himself both dinner and lunch for the next day. He got three tacos and said they were okay, but not something he'd order again describing the cacti taco like squeakier green peppers. He also ordered the veggie burrito and he rather enjoyed that - flavorful, large, soft tortilla shell. I'm grateful they came - it was a nice change of pace but it isn't somewhere I'd eat again. read more

I tried the Covington location and could not have been more disappointed. Not only did I wait at least 15 minutes for a singular item, when I got the food the flavor was not worthy a reputable business. I can't even explain what the beans and rice tasted like, but it was unlike any I've had before. Canned beans tasted much better than this and the rice was also bland. The chicken was dry and flavorless and the hot sauce didn't have enough heat or flavor to save the meal. For what it was, where it was and what it cost, if was a complete ripoff and waste. The two people in the truck were very nice and appreciative of the business. but there command of the language made it difficult to get feedback on what items to choose. Either way, based on the flavor and price, I'd be an absolute idiot to ever return. It's a drive, but there is a great taco truck at Maple Valley Highway and 18, in a gas station parking lot. The asada was very flavorful as was the chicken! The refried beans and rice were your basic standard Mexican restaurant variety. The carnitas were pretty dry so I will be skipping that next time. Food was decent but prices were too high and the quantity of food was average. Time from order to pick up was roughly 25 minutes which is pretty long for a food truck. Ingredients for our tacos, burrito and enchiladas were nothing to write home about. Chicken was reasonably seasoned but pork inside the enchiladas was lost in the flour tortilla and heavy cheese. great food, but they don't update their social medias or post on their website if the truck is being used for a private event (meaning its closed for the day). i've driven out several times to the covington location (which was permanently closed on 4/29/23) only to be greeted with an empty parking lot. additionally, the owner had time to respond to me on google reviews to say that their last date at the covington location was 4/29/23, but hasn't taken the time to update any social media or their google maps info or their website. i'd be a lot more willing to try to dine somewhere that made an effort to communicate with customers- maybe they can consider a public facing google calendar when they get their new location set up so people can check that instead of calling the listed phone number (because no one picks up when you call it). read more

If you want the absolute WORST "carne asada" tacos to ever come off of any truck, ever... then hit up this truck. The meat tasted like it had been quickly done in an Instant Pot with mediocre seasoning at best. There's absolutely no "char" on any of the beef. It tasted like ground beef rather than steak. The green sauce that looks a bit like guacamole is the only thing worthy of a single star, as it helped drown out the dog biscuit flavored "carne asada". I'm glad i didn't get anything but a couple of tacos. I would have been very sorely disappointed if i'd received a burrito with this beef "chum" rolled up into it. I suppose a cheese quesadilla might be okay from this truck, depending on what cheese they use. read more

This food truck popped up around my neighborhood and I thought I would give it a try. Looks like this food truck has a pretty extensive menu, but I only got 2 tacos so that's what I'll be reviewing. I gotta say this is a pretty solid food truck on terms of tacos. The marinated pork taco had a nice slightly sweet flavor and the carne asada was quite tasty. It was only 2.00 for a tacos and boy are those tacos packed with meat! I have never seen a good truck that puts this much meat on their tacos making these a great portion for a meal. I dont know if I'll see this food truck again but I'm very glad that they came through. read more
