I had the good fortune to have take away dinner from this food truck last night at a pop up soccer watch party in bellevue. Wow, what a wonderful surprise. I ordered the chicken plate for myself and the gyro plate for my husband. The portions were generous and the taste was fantastic! The chicken was so tender and there was plenty of it. The rice had a nice cumin (?) kick to it. The baba ganoush was slightly smoky and creamy. Loved the pickles on top. The wait was minimal and the service was pleasant. Absolutely fantastic food! I stopped by not really knowing what to expect, but this place blew me away. Every bite was packed with flavor -- rich, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to detail. I ordered a platter that came with tender meat, fresh salad, warm pita, and creamy sauces that tied everything together beautifully. The balance of flavors was spot on -- nothing too heavy, just pure, delicious Mediterranean comfort food.Even though there was a short wait, it was completely worth it once I took the first bite. Review based on my recent experience when they stopped by at our office for lunch. I have this one in my bookmarks for a while and was quite excited to see them on the list. They came with a shortened menu. Just a few meal options available. They didn't have any wraps or sandwiches. They were not ready to do it even though there was a demand. Also the meal options presented were quite pricey, looks like different from their usual pricing. Ordered a falafel meal. Within 5 mins the food was ready. The meal was decent, included 3 falafels, hummus, pita bread and rice. Quantity was ok, but not really worth for $17. Overall it was a disappointing experience. May be my expectations were much higher. Would really love to try their sandwiches and wraps when possible. read more

Fantastic food! You can taste all the ingredients and I can tell they are all very fresh. The owner, I assume, after handing my Gyro, I asked where he was from and he said "Syria". I wouldn't have guessed it but I mentioned that I've always wanted to go to that part of the world. I told him it has always been an interest for me to see their culture, history and of course trying their food. I also said that I thought the best food in the world are all counties that border with the Mediterranean (including Syria). Plus I said "thank you" in Arabic and from all this he felt very happy and appreciative in my thoughtfulness and good character. He then said "wait a minute my friend". Next thing you know he gave me as a "thank you" a complimentary Baklava. I told he didn't have to. This just shows when you are open, kind and truthful about yourself in showing interest in someone's county. They will be beyond happy and see you as a loyal and good person. Holy moly this is some delicious chicken shawarma!! I scored a pretty sweet $3 dollars off deal with the Elite '21 EBW event at Crucible. The food is incredible and both my husband and I licked our dishes clean! There's so much flavor and the rice is fully loaded with yumminess! I was so impressed by the amount of chicken you get and my favorite part is they add a nice heaping of hummus with a pickle and pepperoncini - my favorite. The Levantine Cuisine truck isn't much to look at, but the food is pleasing to the eye and to the tongue. The options on their menu for main dishes was shawarma with either lamb, chicken, or vegetable. There did seem to be a portion of the menu which was covered and I do wonder what else they offered. We have been in the Mediterranean and this food is spot on to what we had experienced in that region. Very delicious! My husband and I both got the chicken shawarma because we were having lamb for dinner. What came in our dish: chicken shawarma atop saffron rice with the sides of tabbouleh/tabouli parsley salad and 2 pieces of a pita bread (about 1/3 of one full bread) with hummus. The food was flavorful and used spice but was not spicy EXCEPT the pepper that was on the hummus BUT the flavor is contained in the pepper alone. I also appreciate the containers they use. I took mine home to reuse it. It is bento style and microwaveable. I believe the containers are washable so double score to eating at Levantine Cuisine. read more

I was able to check out Levantine Cuisine food truck while at a Yelp event in Woodinville. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known about it, since I haven't seen the truck before. But after finding out about it, it served solid, Mediterranean food that I was happy to discover. The menu is straightforward, with different protein options for a plate with pilaf rice, tabbouleh, pita and hummus. They also had baklava. I chose the chicken plate, which I heard from other Yelpers was a tastier option than the lamb or falafel. The chicken plate was solid. Chicken was tender and flavorful. I liked that on the side you get tabbouleh for a more light, fresh side with the more heartier items with this plate. This food truck is a hidden gem (more like a moving gem ;)). Had lunch today when they were parked at Marymoor Park. Their vegetarian platter was very wholesome and tasty. The stuffed grape leaves tasted very fresh, the rice was very aromatic with fantastic spices, bordering a biryani style seasoning. The hummus and babaganoush were both outstanding, with the fantastic balance of tahini and lemon juice. The crown jewels of the lunch were the falafel, which were crispy and spot on; as well as the baklava, which was one of the best I've tasted, with good proportion of pistachios. Would suggest to the owners to improve the pita bread a bit more so it's more fluffy and soft, and drop ther price of bottled water! Highly recommended. read more

We just ordered from their truck at Rooftop Brewery tonight. That is the best falafel I've ever had. The garlic sauce is amazing, hummus was great, also tender chicken and bright, crisp salad. Everything was so fresh and so delicious and while the meals aren't cheap (what is these days, right?) you get a large amount of food, and great quality food, at that. I came across this food truck while walking with a friend at Marymoor. I was telling my friend how disappointed I was that it looked like Subway had moved out of it's spot near the bathrooms of this parking lot, when I realized that this food truck was now here regularly. I hope if my soccer team ever starts up again that this food truck or others continue to exist in this spot. It would be such a welcome addition to be able to get some good food ahead of/or after a soccer game. However this food was delicious and I would have it wherever they were located at, I might even seek it out. This was a great meal to get and go eat on a blanket in the park. It was packaged so nicely and quite tasty. My friend thought it was so big she was unable to finish it. We both enjoyed the Falafel Veggie Meal for 13.99$. I love that it came with both of my favorites, tabolie and dolmas. I found these dolmas to be unique compared to others I have tried, they seemed to have some ingredients others are missing. I would order a serving of these as a side to any meal, but don't see them listed this way on the menu, same with the tabolie. I also really enjoyed the tahini sauce and struggled to choose between the hummus and the baba ganouj. I'll definitely try the baba ganouj next time. The falafel was also firm and didn't fall apart like some which was is a pet peeve of mine. I'm kicking myself for not eating my friend's leftovers. There were some technical difficulties when placing our order and it wasn't super fast. Some in line behind us got impatient and walked off. My friend did feel that perhaps her waiting in line to order behind me went unnoticed, but I imagine it's hard to be a 1 man food truck operation. read more

There's nothing like a real falafel. Crisp but not overly crunchy on the outside, dense and well spiced on the inside. We grabbed two shawarma plates, lamb and falafel, while we were enjoying libations at Crucible Brewing this past weekend, and whoo-ee. Not only were they both delicious, but for $13.99, it's a GOOD amount of food. We didn't finish them. The dolmas are mouthwatering and the tabouleh was light and tart - the perfect palate cleanser. My one piece of advice would be to get an extra triangle of pita or two because it comes in a plate, and not wrapped like a gyro, and you will want to layer and shovel it all in your mouth. It's positively scrumptious and I really wish we had a truck like this up north where I live. read more

Randomly discovered this food truck at my favorite neighborhood pub (Broadview Pub) and ordered the falafel veggie meal and was immediately impressed with the portion size (most restaurant portions are too small for me). Missed them at Marymoor Park, but got to taste their fabulous food at Crucible Brewing in Woodinville as part of the kickoff event for Eastside beer week. I usually eat Veggie, so I went with their Falafel Veggie plate. From the first bite, it was obvious that I was tasting something special. What a fantastic food truck with friendly owners/employees. I had the chicken shawarma meal, which came with a generous helping of chicken, rice, and sides of baba ghanoush and tabouli salad. The cuts of chicken were incredibly flavorful and tender, cooked to perfection and elevated by a juicy mix of mushrooms, peppers, and onions. This was served atop a bed of yellow rice, which was savory and seasoned with a melange of spices that seemed to include some cardamom - brilliant stuff. Normally expect rice to be an afterthought, but they clearly elevated even this part of the dish and made it stellar. There weren't any customers when we got there, but a couple people came while I was waiting for my food. I ordered a chicken meal plate and a falafel pita. Both tasted pretty good - and whatever sauce was on the chicken meal was excellent and completely unique. We preferred the plate over the pita - the falafel was good, but the ratio of pita bread to contents was a little high for my liking. The owner (and maybe his daughter?) were super nice. It's hard enough to imagine making a go of a restaurant business in the midst of a pandemic, but when your path cuts through the horror of war-torn Syria and the hardships of a refugee life, then you really deserve credit. Levantine Cuisine is a humble food truck born from a passion of its owners to cook the native Lavantine specialties and to feed their friends. I learned of the truck through some of those friends, and the relative ease of driving out to Marymoor Park - which appears to be their main location for the moment - seemed to me to be a privilege to honor such industry. The menu is fairly simple - plates and wraps (lamb, chicken, and falafel) - and baklava. But the preparation was anything but simplistic. The key to Mediterranean cuisine is its freshness (if you have ever had a late night pita in Brussels or Paris you know what unfresh Mediterranean food tastes like, if you cared) and the food at Levantine Cuisine is filled with freshness. Notably, the free order of Tabouleh that the owner graciously brought to our car, was fantastic; clearly it was made sometime recently with bright parsley and moist tomatoes. The gyro sandwiches we ordered were juicy and not overly meat centric, letting the veggies (including some prominent pickles) do the talking. That isn't to imply that the lamb was a silent partner...it was fantastic. Finally, the Baklava at Levantine Cuisine was a real joy. It is not common to find good Baklava in Seattle. Most of the time it tastes old and stale. This Baklava had the right hints of rosewater and was crispy chewy just the way it should be. All in all, a great addition to the area's food truck scene; our gain thanks to the resilience and effort of its owners. read more

It's weird that they don't publish their schedule anywhere, it's as if they didn't want to attract too many customers... I explicitly contacted them via messenger and found the date and location for today. We got there at 11:45 and there was one person waiting for their food. We patiently waited and got finally greeted only when the food for the previous person was ready. Same thing happened to the people that came after us, they did not get considered until our food was ready. Seems like a weird and customer unfriendly way of dealing with orders. Anyway, the guy was very kind and got our order, accepting the special request to substitute hummus with the baba in the lamb shawarma meal. Food was ready in 5 mins or slightly more. Overall it was very good, albeit not stellar. The shawarma lamb was very tender and flavorful, the salad was very fresh and full of parsley, really tasty. Absolutely solid food offerings from this truck. I've got the chicken shawarma sandwich twice and my husband gets the lamb. He says the lamb is delicious but I'll let him give his own review. For my part, the chicken sandwich is not only delicious but a significant amount of food as well. It is conveniently served in two foiled-wrapped halves. In my experience on the top end of food truck portions. The meats are grilled just prior to serving and the pickled veggies mixed with the fresh are top notch. The flatbread seems toasted just prior to serving as well and holds all the "wet' ingredients nicely. That said, even in the foil wrap it can be a messy meal. Maybe not a food choice for a first date unless you want to make a point. (make that point) But otherwise not a reason to miss the deliciousness! Just say yes to the napkins offered. read more

I booked Levantine Cuisine to cater two belated Holiday Meals for the caregivers at our two biggest clinic sites. I have never heard such rave reviews about ANY catering or take-out we've ever brought into the clinics. The food was fresh and delicious. We had over 150 people at just one of our locations and they were all served their meals quickly. One of our physicians said "BEST falafel I've ever had. No joke, that was a great lunch!" She's vegan, so she knows from good falafel :) Great pricing, super tasty food, clean, fast and professional. AND Maher, the owner, could not have been any more gracious or responsive, before and during our events. His pistachio baklava was other-worldly, the best I've ever tasted! The ingredients they use are very fresh and taste delicious. Their chicken meal shawarma has been my go-to item to order at the moment. But, other things on the menu also look very good as well. And I can't wait to try them out soon. Their Baklavas are the best by far. Unlike baklavas you find in any other mediterranean restaurants, their baklavas are crispy on the top layers and not too sweet, which I'd personally prefer. I end up ordering one every time as my dessert. My family and I also love their hummus and baba ghanoush very much. We stopped purchasing store-bought hummus and baba ghanoush from a grocery store, and made sure we get them from this place instead. Wow! Just had the pleasure of having dinner from Levantine Cuisine! For those Seattle natives who rely on Mr. Gyros in Ballard for your go-to falafel meal- you must try Levantine! I've eaten at many food trucks while at Broadview Taphouse and Levantine is by far the best. The food was outstanding- I had the Veggie Falafel meal (dairy free- which substitutes hummus for baba ghanoush), and my boyfriend had the regular Veggie Falafel meal. I must say that food truck portions are typically not enough to fill us up, but these portion sizes were just right! This meal tops Mr. Gyros in variety and flavor! (And I love Mr. Gyros!)
