This place is amazing! So my three year old son saw their truck tonight opening up as we drove to Cabrillo. He wanted to stop and I told him it was Mexican food not ice cream. He still insisted so I asked him what Mexican food he likes (none), he paused for a few moments and then exclaimed, "Tacos!" My picky little eater has never willingly eaten a taco in his life, but I told him we would go. He proudly held his bag of tacos on the way home, before, but also made sure to request a happy meal. Lucky for me I've never been to this place. I thought it was the el gallito truck, which is good, but been hit or miss lately. We got simple chicken and cheese tacos, which would hopefully be amenable to my 3 year old, but I got to eat them and they were DELICIOUS! Very unfriendly, I've been before and had good food and the workers knew fluent English. However today they treated me like dirt and acted like they didn't know English at all. They were so aggressive, To the point it made me uncomfortable to order. I highly reccomend non Latinos to tread lightly. read more

I saw this food truck on a food review YouTube page and thought I check it out. The seating area and salsa bar was clean which isn't normally the case for a food truck. The food was mediocre though. Tortillas are too dry for me. Most of the meats were good. Asada was delicious, pastor was a bit dry, cabeza was bland, and the chicharon was a no go for me. Salsas we're good and tasty. Horchata is a bit watered down. Spent about $80 for a group of 4 and 2 toddlers. So that's average pricing if not on the low side. There really isn't parking so I had to park on the street. It gets busy so be prepared to wait awhile since it's only 1 cook and 1 person taking orders. read more

There is something special about a freshly grilled taco. The toastiness combined with cool salsa to make a temperature and textural balance that works so well together. The flavors that have spicy, savory love in every bite. This little taco truck delivers great quality food with an excellent variety of salsas to accompany. Prices are reasonable, but the tacos are definitely on the small side (burritos are much bigger). It's best to eat the food when it's fresh, so that means eating at the couple of tables right in front, or in your car. If it's night time, make sure to bring a jacket because it gets cool with the ocean being so close by. Definitely a great place to grab a bite after having some beers at Brouwerij West. Okay, came in with high expectations for the positive reviews. Even more, locals were lined up outside of this taco truck at 11pm at night. That's always a good sign! We were excited. They raved about the al pastor tacos and the carne asada french fries--we ordered just that. Pretty disappointed. The carne asada fries were hot but was no more than meat and nacho cheese. No pico de gallo? Sour cream? Avocado? While the al pastor was tasty it was a little dry, and it didn't have the pineapple slice as portrayed in the photos outside the truck. Plenty of options for spicy and mild salsas, fresh cucumber, radish and lime slices. Nice people. Location: easy to spot. The asada is really good and my friend said their chicken tacos are good too (chicken is usually iffy at most places). So if you're looking for a great taco spot in San Pedro, here it is! Awesome little truck right on eleventh & pacific! Came here at night with my two cousins. We got carne asada, carnitas, chicken, etc. all the tacos were very tasty. Prices were a little high considering that they're street tacos in San Pedro, but the service and employees were dope. Went today aug 16, 2020. First time trying here. I aways go to the other taco truck in San Pedro but i wanted to try this one since theres always people waiting when I am passing by. Ordered asada torta, 6 tacos, and a horchatta, total was 21 dollars. Torta was really tasty, could taste butter from the bread, bean looks like from scratch(not from canned), asada was tender and delicious. I really liked crispy tripa taco, it was crispy, and chewy. Buche was so so, and my friend really liked chicharon tacos. Horchatta was great not too sweet as the other taco truck and it was brownish, looks like they really made it(not sure though..lol). Just becareful with red sauce. Its super spicy even though I like spicy food. Hope they give more green sauce. Definitly will go again soon. read more

Of all the el pastor I've ever had in my life, this definitely takes the cake. Their el pastor, true to the reviews which precede mine, is the most authentic in Los Angeles!! It's almost as if I didn't know what pastor was supposed to taste like until I had the pastor here. It's soooo good. And the other taco trucks'/stands' variety is literally mush and saucy in comparison. Their mulita pastor is literally perfect siZed for one person. We live in San Pedro and have tried many of the other trucks, but nothing comes close to Nancy and her delicious food, service and quality. We pretty much always order the same thing, al Pastor burritos, no beans for my husband, and Nancy always remembers us and doesn't skimp on the meat! You also must try her horchata, so fresh and perfect level of sweetness. The salsas are each tastes and unique, and home made! This truck brings me back to the days when the only food truck you could find served amazing tacos, burritos, tortas and quesadillas. When vendors set up a metal baking sheet over a propane burner and grilled onions, sausage and bacon wrapped hot dogs. Now a days I have to fight through a line of hipsters, to get to a mediocre lobster roll, that costs 11.99 and is the size of a muffin. The el pastor is so damn good, I considered flattening a tire so they could never leave. Service is quick, prices just right and condiment table loaded. Lowkey disappointed. I ordered an Asada burrito, two chicken tacos and a Pina agua Fresca......the Piña tasted like they put regular pineapple juice in it, but I was like okay whatever no big deal. Then my friend asked if instead of meat on her Asada fries can she just have some grilled veggies. They said no, because they were too busy (we literally almost didn't even come because there was not a single person at their truck when we pulled up so we were like dang maybe their food isn't great nobody's here but we gave it a chance anyway) they still wanted to charger her the regular price for the fries even tho she wasn't getting meat AND she wasn't getting the grilled veggies either?? So my friends weren't even interested anymore at that point but I still got my food. $18 for a pina, asada burrito and two chicken tacos the chicken wasn't seasoned well, the burrito was disappointing & dry...like the best thing was the salsa. Also we had just finished working on a shoot so we had face paint so i dong know if that's what they were laughing at but my friend was asking them what's so funny cause they were laughing in the truck while we were ordering and then when she asked nobody wanted to say what was so funny...and that's not how you make your customers comfortable especially with a language barrier........Hate leaving bad reviews but my friends asked me to fit this one. read more

When you come, you must order the al pastor tacos. They will give it to you with some pinnaple and it's by far my favorite.
