    Watermelon Margarita
    Natasha M.

I dined here with about a dozen friends for a reunion of sorts on a Friday night and they have a huge patio that accommodated us perfectly. I ordered a watermelon margarita on the rocks, rather than frozen because the machine was down. Yet frozen Daquan's were available. Anyway, I ate way too much of the chips, salsa, and queso because I only could eat a very small portion of my main entree. I got the Hawaiian fajitas. It tasted good, but didn't look the best. One of my friends ordered the shrimp fajitas and it looked a lot tastier with red & green peppers. Mine looked like a brown mush since it was cheese and pineapples. I ended up taking it home and giving it to my husband, who enjoyed it. If you're looking for an outdoor patio with good food and service, look no further.

Decent Mexican food and decent prices. A friendly server only enhanced the overall experience. I had a shrimp dish and the portion size was generous. The chips and salsa was a bit middle of the road. Would I return. Yes, I would. But there are places in Memphis that I long for my next trip to this city. This is not one of those places.

Chicken Fajita Quesadilla with rice and beans

We added a side of queso to the complimentary chips and salsa. The queso was creamy and tasty with just a hint of seasoning. The salsa, however, was a bit too mild for me. The chips were crispy and sturdy enough to hold the salsa and queso. I ordered the fajita quesadilla with chicken. The chicken was on the drier side, but the generous helping of onions, peppers and melty cheese made for an overall delicious quesadilla. The sides of rice and beans were okay. The rice was dry and the refried beans were similar in taste to what I would buy at the grocery store. I would have preferred to have just had another half of the quesadilla. The service was good but a bit slow at times. Granted, we were dining on Christmas Eve so we were just thankful to find a restaurant that was open. I liked the ambiance inside. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. It won't necessarily be my first choice for Mexican food in Bartlett, but it's great to have another option.

This is our new spot. It's much better than our old Mexican restaurant. The fundido dip is excellent. Food is great and service is superb.

Hubby and I were really impressed by this place. My roommate got the mushroom quesadilla and noted that it tasted different than at our usual Mexican restaurant. They use a different seasoning here or something. He said it was a nice change. Hubby and I split the Pollo Fundido because we were in the area to see a movie and couldn't take any leftovers with us. It was enough to fill us both up and was good enough I could have eaten the entire thing by myself. The chicken was grilled perfectly and was delightfully juicy. We also split the Guacamole and hubby said it was served Mexican-style, which is where you don't smoosh the avocados all together but rather leave them chopped up. It was very good but hubby said needed salt. I didn't feel the need to add any until I got about half way through it but I'm not a big salt person. It was a fun outing and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely return if we were in the area and wanting Mexican food! Loved: - Pollo Fundido (without mushrooms) Liked: - Guacamole - Salsa Ok: - Spicy Salsa (on request)

I realized the first time I ate there without drinking one of the margaritas that the food is trash. Overly salty and not good

Yelp ratings told us this happened to be close to our house to boot. My wife and I both had the taco salad with chicken (lots of it, btw). Both our guest had meat dishes, which I forgot to record. One was almost surely a steak fajita, the other had a ham (and chicken?) dish with rice and lettuce. All declared VERY good. Service was fast and friendly - our waitress spoke English and Spanish. Ambiance - a typical ethnic location. Nothing fancy. Don't let that stop you if you want good Mexican. Once more, Yelpers, you've helped us out in a pinch!

There is a bakery available with a lot of goodies. We did not try any Sunday since we were full from lunch. I will come back to try other entrees and have the chips and salsa. The bathroom was organized and clean.

Those that ordered first received their food & were missing multiple items. When reporting this to her she became argumentative telling them their items didn't come with these things - though the menu verified that they did. My soup--something simple--took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. When it finally came out, it was incorrect. I specifically asked for no cheese, yet it was served with cheese. When I pointed this out she again became argumentative and insisted that I didn't order it that way. Multiple people at the table confirmed that I did request no cheese. At that point, since we were ready to leave, I asked for the order to be canceled. She continued to argue, stating that I couldn't cancel the order, even though nothing had been served correctly. I had no food because it had been taken back due to their mistake. She finally said, "Okay, fine, just leave," which was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, other members of my party shared that they've had similar negative experiences with this same server in the past. They also reported that their food wasn't impressive. They never received the guac & other sides they ordered. The salsa was basic and their entrees were simply underwhelming. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Learning that this is a constant at this establishment is disappointing. I will not be returning. ** This issue was reported to the manager; however, the situation was not addressed, and no apology or attempt at restitution was offered.**

Seems there's some weird disconnect going on I wasn't aware of... This location is now going by Las Mexicanos instead of Los Comales. Looks like almost all new staff too, that could definitely use some Customer Service training. The menu has a 3rd name on it that seemed off as well. I was not told to come to the hostess stand to be seated, no friendly greeting when I did approach the stand. Once seated, the chip & salsa dude was quick enough in dripping them off w/out so much as a greeting. Maybe he's the silent type? Who knows? 2 Now the real wait begins.... Nothing to drink nor any sign of anyone even slowing down @ my table to take a drink order. Maybe they were fighting to see who would take my order? ‍ I was almost finished w/the basket of chips, decided what I wanted and LAID THE CLOSED MENU on the other side of the table close to the edge, hoping someone would notice. I had decided if they couldn't be bothered to come by the time I finished the chips I was leaving. Magically a waitress finally shows up w/3 chips to spare. Placed the order for water and dinner at the same time. Dinner came out quickly but looking pitiful w/barely a full tablespoon of guac, tomatoes or sour cream. Cheap bastards! The flour part of the chimichanga was NOT CRISP, & I was given plastic utensils to maneuver this sad plate. I have eaten here MANY times as I live in the area so I am more than disappointed w/this experience. Not a single customer sitting in the middle @ the 4-tops & @ least 7 booths empty; on a Saturday night @ 8:00 pm. Sad that they have lost so much business, I'll think twice before considering spending my money here again.
