Love coming here with my gal pal for a lunch when we go eat lunCch. The service is so good and sweet, they always take care of ya..... I like the inside. Small and cute and intimate. They decorated for Christmas and was sooooo lovely, I like the food lots. Gonna try this again when the times right and I will try the fajitas I am thinking of trying. Love it! Thank you el Indio for being a great place for people to eat

We planned to go to Taco Buddha then they closed on Monday. We then decided to come to this place. To my surprise, on a Monday evening, it was packed with so many people. The service is great. Regular chips and salsa. We ordered a guacamole which might be the freshest one I ever had. Foods was in a great portion and very fresh, I ordered the special with shrimp, chicken and beef, very good! Definitely come back again!

We ordered takeout from El Indio this week: chicken taco, ground beef taco, chile relleno, enchiladas, and steak quesadilla. Everything was tasty, but not as delicious as the takeout I ordered a few months ago. The tacos came with lettuce and tomato, but the ground beef and chicken weren't very flavorful. The chile relleno was a little soggy but I attributed that to the difficulty of taking out food and then eating it at home later. I did really enjoy the steak quesadilla because I love queso and this quesadilla was dunked in plenty of queso inside and out and the steak was tender and flavorful, but my kids didn't like how the queso was too runny. Previously I tried the El Jalisco special and Mexican flag enchilada plate and both were phenomenal, especially the grilled shrimp and fajita-style peppers over rice and beans. I would return to order El Jalisco special again but probably not the tacos.

El Indio has become my typical Tuesday night spot! I came across it when googling Taco Tuesday specials. The place is a nice, small homely restaurant. I've been so many times that I pretty much know everyone there which is great! One thing I can say is the service is always consistent and fast. I've Bieber waited more than 15-20 minutes even with a large party or when they are crowded or with a big party. Food: we had the soft/hard chicken and beef tacos which are $1.50 on Tuesdays!!! They always taste great and fresh. Also the chips, always warm and fresh. Pretty amazing. The margaritas are $2.50 on Tuesday and pretty good as well. Sometimes lighter are light sometimes really strong. Overall a good spot. Cheap and fast!

In this area there's a lot of Mexican restaurants and you wouldn't go wrong by choosing El Indio! The food comes out quickly, is delicious and affordable. I made my visit on Cinco de Mayo and you might expect the service staff to be tired, but they were so friendly & attentive. My margarita wasn't particularly strong, but great flavor (not too sweet). The burrito ranchero was very good & smothered in cheese. Yum. We sat on the patio, they have one on each side of the building. Both don't sit many groups, but on a lovely night it's a great spot to find yourself at.

We used to frequent El Indio, until I had a rivet in my queso fundito . I called and told the manager, she did not care. She said she would call me back with information on getting a refund and she never did. We go to Amigos Cantina now instead.

I wasn't super hungry so we got chips and salsa and guacamole to share and my friend got the chicken fajita. The salsa comes with two different salsa options, both were a bit spicy. The guacamole was classic and came out with a cute serving spoon. They had lots of food options but it's a bit more expensive than most Mexican spots in the city. I think my friend was a little disappointed that there was an up charge to add vegetables to her fajita and the portion wasn't as big as she thought it might for a $20 plate, but it tasted good. Super nice service and cute on the inside. They have a back patio that's very big and heated. Street parking.

We chose inside and although they have a couple tables out front, I realized they have a super cute patio out back. Our server, Obed, was friendly and explained everything we needed to know as well as answering all the questions! He was great! I had eaten a big lunch, so I ordered a couple of sides, Poblano Rajas and Half-Smashed Black Beans no cotija. For the table, my daughter's ordered the Classic Queso, and Chips & Salsa Two-Ways. The Queso was good but those salsas? They were really great. The red was smokey, which I love and not a lot of places do, and the green was a spicy pineapple, I think, it was so good! There was a Handmade Limeade ordered and it was so refreshing! I enjoyed the sides I ordered; I tasted the Al Pastor Empanadas, delicious and more so with that green salsa - sweet and spicy! Great spot I am glad we tried. Would love to return for a pitcher of margaritas when I am not driving!

The music in the background and terracotta designs highlighted the threads of Mexican culture but made the Homer statue appear to be a little out of place! Definitely a fun dining experience. The outdoor seating felt super spacious. It was a beautiful day and temperate weather to be able eat outside. It did have numerous umbrellas and a covered portion which kept most of the seating shaded. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was good. I was a little disappointed with the bread used for the Torta. I was expecting a bolillo type bread where it the outside is a crisp crust but the inside is airy, chewy and sweet. Instead it was a Telera Bread that was like a very crumbly messy french roll. The pieces of chicken were very thin and cut into strips instead of one patty. It was very dry and not much flavor. The fries were potato-y but not seasoned or salty. Very bland. The aroma of all the food was phenomenal. But tasting the flavors and eating the dishes didn't quite live up to the hype of my super smeller.
