I'm very impressed! I loved the variety of tacos available and I thought the patio was very cute. Service was good. No complaints. The portions were unexpectedly large. I got the buloxi, the toas, and their monthly special taco and they definitely didn't lack protein! Will be back

I moved here from Texas a few months ago, and I've been very hesitant to try tacos in St. Louis because there are such big shoes to fill. But here I've found my home away from home! We sat on the patio on a nice night, and it was the perfect spot for it. Tucked away in the neighborhood with a small parking lot in the back and street parking. You order with a QR code and they bring it out very quickly. The fried fish taco (the Baja) was my favorite one had a great sauce on it and the fish was well cooked. My one qualm was the spicy margarita didn't have a lot of spice, but it was still a great margarita regardless. I'll absolutely be coming back.

Taco Buddha is absolutely delicious. I have only gotten their fish tacos and highly recommend the Baja and the Galveston. I think their tacos are reasonably priced and are very filling. Parking at the University City location can be sparse but it's a beautiful location to walk. There is a typically a wait but you can order apps or drinks while you wait which I love!

I am a semi-regular at the Kirkwood location and thought I'd give the original location a try again. This visit I brought 2 friends from Connecticut and two from Illinois. It was a first time for all of them and they loved their tacos. We arrived around noon and lucky for us was able to get a table on the patio. Shortly after we arrived the workers on their lunch breaks arrived and filled up the other tables. All of us are retired and giggled how fast they all ate and left to go back to work. Three of us had worked together in our twenties and reminisced how we use to do that. I can't speak for their tacos, except for the fact that they all enjoyed them. However, I can tell you my tacos rocked my world, especially the shrimp. Shrimp has become my favorite taco and I was surprised to see they fried the shrimp, instead of grilling. To my delight, it being fried had a whole different flavor and I loved it. My second taco was Baja and you simply cannot go wrong with a fish taco. Being the city host, I ordered a basket of chips and salsa for the group. They all comment on the salsa, how it had just enough of a kick in its spices without being overly spicy. The fresh, warm and crisp chips also impressed them. I was the only one to have an adult beverage and I enjoyed my Top Shelf Margarita. I like how they ask if you want your tequila regular or spicy. The server also double checked to see if I wanted a salted rim. I choose to hold the salt. I was ready to order via the QR Code like I do in Kirkwood and was thrilled to see we could have our own personal server. She did a great job and didn't mind splitting our bills three ways. I liked how other team members assisted by delivering our drinks and food when she was assisting another table. Great experience and when in the area, I'll stop by again. Oh, for those who need to know, the patio is dog friendly. We had an adorable one at the table next to us.

I finally checked out Taco Buddha and was really impressed. It's definitely more "creative fusion taco bar" than traditional taqueria, but the flavors back it up. I ordered a quesadilla (see photo) and it was massive--crispy tortilla, tons of gooey cheese, and well-seasoned fillings that actually tasted like something, not just melted cheese on a tortilla. The vibe is casual and relaxed: metal trays, order-at-the-counter, and a lively crowd without being too loud. Service was friendly and fast, and my food came out hot and fresh. The patio is a big plus, especially since it's dog-friendly--perfect spot to hang out with a drink. Prices are a little high, and the food is sorta spicy--but in the best way. If you like a little kick, it's awesome. The guacamole and chips were AWESOME--super fresh and a must-order. Overall, I'd call Taco Buddha a solid 5/5 stars: great for creative tacos, huge quesadillas, and a chill night out, as long as you're okay paying a small "vibe tax."

A popular spot I've been to before but this time I was not as impressed. We got a gift card so decided to try a bunch of tacos. It wasn't very busy so we were seated quickly. They use QR codes for ordering but you can also still order from a server. They have a lot of space indoor and a covered potato and non converted patio with heat. The service and ordering process were simple. We ordered 8 tacos and chops and queso. Their tacos are about $5.25 and up While the tacos had decent flavor, the sauces were good and meat cooked well, they were all lukewarm to almost cold. A bummer because i like my food HOT and it wasn't. The tacos came out quickly which leads me to believe the meats are already cooked, which isn't bad but it adds to the non fresh heat of the food. We still have money on the gift card so we will give it another shot at some point

My SIL recommended this place while I was visiting St Louis and I am always game to try something new. Parking was the only issue as we had to circle a bit before we found a spot. The outside was busting so when we approached the hostess we said whatever was open. She said go ahead and grab a table inside so we did. There was no menu at the table but just a QR code. So while one of us struggled to get it going on the phone I went up to the service counter and got a paper menu. We got water quickly but apparently drinks are via the QR code too. After what seemed like a long time setting up the order the total appeared and a suggested tip was displayed. THIS got me. We sat ourselves, struggled with the menu, and only got water. What was the tip for? After placing the order we got our drinks (a pitcher of margaritas) and food showed up rather quickly. Since there was no interaction with a waitstaff we had to identify ourselves by our customer/seat number. The food looked great and WAS great! Now I know why it was so busy. It was just the right amount and very yummy. All of us were pleased with what we got.

The food was amazing. We were in town for a conference and found this place. Walked 20 minutes to get there. There was a small hiccup but the manager fixed it. He was amazing we can't thank him enough. Will definitely go back next time we are in town.

taco Buddha might have the best shrimp taco I've ever had. I stay up at night dreaming about the Biloxi. The quality of taco Buddha's food is out of this world. Everything from their margaritas to their chips and queso to their tacos is delicious. The service is always fast and they have the cutest outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. I cannot recommend this place enough.

It's always a great time here when I come. The ambiance is great. They have a wonderful selection of tacos with unique flavors and pairing. The classic ones I get is the jodhpur taco and the Nashville taco. The jodhpur is very tangy and saucy. The Nashville taco is spicy and juicy. The Mimosa is a good bonus during brunch time. You order via QR code and the service is very quick. They have outdoor and indoor seating providing different options. Overall, it's a great place and would love to come during breakfast

I last ate at Taco Buddha around 8 years ago. I have since moved to Washington, MO but recently started working close by. I stopped by and picked up the Taos Taco and it was amazing. The staff couldn't be more friendly, the patio was packed and everyone seemed to enjoying the great food and weather. Just a fantastic place. I highly recommend this amazing restraint.

I will never get over this place and would LOVE for a location to open in st Charles because I'd be there every week! We came on a weekend and it was so busy but we were able to get a seat fast. I love the queso and it was my first time trying it. I always get the chips and salsa to start and I highly recommend it, it has a great smoky flavor and I highly recommend. I cannot stray from the Biloxi, it's so delicious and has SO much flavor, but next time I would love to be there out and try some new tacos and report back. I love how cute and causal it is inside the restaurant and love their ordering style, you can keep your tab open and order to your table and keep ordering more until you're ready to close out. It's so convenient and easy and I love that. I'm already looking forward to going back!

I AM A CHANGED WOMAN. Yo the first two times I went here I did not like it. Somehow though, I'm not sure if it was the time or the weather, the company, the service, or they changed something on their end but I absolutely LOVED it this time around. The patio was super vibey and perfect margarita weather. The food was fabulous and honestly super filling, 3 were enough. Lastly, shout out to the server who let me join the Taco Buddha team with a sticker!! 10/10

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

My date ordered a few street tacos with birria shredded beef. I unfortunately didn't try them, but they looked fabulous and the taste of consomé I took was spot on. I almost never pass up flautas if they're on the menu, so it was on an obvious choice. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, in the most perfectly crisp fried tortilla. They had the perfect amount of toppings including crema, tomatoes, queso fresco, and lettuce. Definitely some of my favorite flautas in STL. Perhaps my only complaint was that the chips and salsa I also got for $4.50 was pretty small, considering. I will say, though, that the salsa was divine--definitely has a good amount of heat, but for me it was perfect. I'll be back to try some street tacos very soon!

The second time I had a pick up order and he was rude over the phone. This third time was the last straw. I ordered food on a Friday and they didn't put the top all the way on the pan that the food comes in and it spilled out all over the Bag. I literally had to pick the food up and put it back in the pan so I just threw it away. I went inside to try to speak with the lady who gave me the coupon in the first place, and apparently the guy already said something about me so she didn't even look me in my eyes or addressed me when I walked inside. she was rude as well explaining to me that it didn't matter if they messed the food up and I still had to pay six dollars for a small cup of cheese. When I say this cup of cheese is small, I promise it is very small. I've been going to this place for at least 13 years when no one was going there. I've never had a problem with any of the ladies. I've only had a problem with the short guy you'll know who I'm talking about because he's very short and also very passive aggressive all the time unless he's just like that to black customers, which I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the case. The food is usually decent, but the people can be rude at times and it will absolutely ruined the food for you. It automatically makes you think that they did something to it due to the way that they feel about you clearly shown by the way that they speak to you. To all of MY people, they may not do it this time, but I promise you they will show their true colors at some point. I've seen ants crawling around the corners of the wall and when I brought it to their attention, they said they will fix it. I don't know if they ever did, but that was years ago. I only added that in because Yelp I asked about the ambiance. Either way, go to a black owned restaurant where you're appreciated not tolerated. These people do not care about you. It seems like they hate their job. Especially the pipsqueak. He's got short Man syndrome clearly. He's always trying to make his attitude bigger than his physique. Sidenote: I've always loved the food. This was my first time having an issue with the food. And the first time they act like they were angry that they messed something up and they tried to make me pay for something that they messed up. (I didn't btw)
