Unfortunately we ordered this las palmas tonight via uber eats... I thought this was the incredibly delicious Las Palmas in Maplewood, I COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG. Ordered 2 salads, fajitas, and "Margarita" cheese dip. They forgot the chicken salad entirely (probably lucky), the fajitas (perillada) was inedible the meat was so dry. Almost choked on account of chewiness. I was home from work with a cold today and truly think the couple bites I ate made my illness worse. ...I ordered from the correct las palmas and leaving my house sick to pick up, that's how much redemption I need. This "las palmas on page" meal is going straight in the trash. Will not be making this mistake again.

Great food, great workers. Absolutely love this place. Love Abraham cotto molina and his associates aundreas, Armando. Hugs you guys are great workers miss you so much and the Mexican food and drinks so delishes. Wow.

Food from here is always top notch. Servers are generally very attentive and nice. Has that somewhat homey feel to it and is generally reasonable on prices. These little out-of-the-way, hole in the wall places always have the best food

To our surprise, this was some of the best Tex-Mex we've had in Saint Louis. The biggest surprise was that it is in Overland and not down on Cherokee Street. We discovered Las Palmas through a Entertainment.com Coupon and when I checked it out here on Yelp, several of my friends had given them 4 Stars. So we thought why not give them a try. The SO had an ice tea, but when I'm having Mexican fare, I need a Margarita. Theirs is made with a good mix, it's not too sweet and not too sour. It's just the right mix and they do not skimp on the booze either. One Margarita at lunch had a nice punch. They were quick to bring chips and they bought us two small dishes of salsa. When the server sat them down, I asked him if one was spicier. He informed us they were the same. How cool, we each got our own dish to dip our chips. No need to worry about double dipping. The chips were fresh and still warm when they arrived to our table. We also experienced their Cheese Dip which was the typical white cheese dip that you get at most inexpensive Tex-Mex restaurants. Our entrees is what separated Las Palmas from the other Tex-Mex places we've been to. Both side dishes really shined. The Cilantro Lime rice was a pleasant change from the traditional Spanish Rice. It was moist and refreshing. Their re-fried beans were a nice change too. You could actually see beans, in a spicy thick broth. The Burrito Supreme was huge. It was packed tight with beef and topped with melted cheese and sour cream. A side of Guacamole was the perfect accompaniment. My Pollo Ranchero was a burst of flavor. The grilled chicken, big pieces of pepper, onion, black olives and broccoli. They served it with some fresh flour tortillas. I filled two of the tortillas, but the chicken and veggies were so good I finished mine without using anymore tortillas. We ended the feast with an appropriate dessert, Flan. When ever I see Flan on a menu, I have to order it and I am glad I did so here. This is best Flan I have had and I had to share it. Next time I'll know better and order my own. Our server was good, but he was rather quite. I don't think he spoke that much English.

Have yet to be disappointed by the food and friendly staff. Try the Perrietta Mixed Fajitas

A very nice, small, family run business. Great food, great service, a great pace to have dinner.

Tamales are not home made. Yuck. Fajitas not good either. I cannot recommend. Try Mi Ranchito instead.

Awesome dinner. You got the combo: chicken enchilada and steak chimi, both were delicious.

The music in the background and terracotta designs highlighted the threads of Mexican culture but made the Homer statue appear to be a little out of place! Definitely a fun dining experience. The outdoor seating felt super spacious. It was a beautiful day and temperate weather to be able eat outside. It did have numerous umbrellas and a covered portion which kept most of the seating shaded. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was good. I was a little disappointed with the bread used for the Torta. I was expecting a bolillo type bread where it the outside is a crisp crust but the inside is airy, chewy and sweet. Instead it was a Telera Bread that was like a very crumbly messy french roll. The pieces of chicken were very thin and cut into strips instead of one patty. It was very dry and not much flavor. The fries were potato-y but not seasoned or salty. Very bland. The aroma of all the food was phenomenal. But tasting the flavors and eating the dishes didn't quite live up to the hype of my super smeller.

Kudos to my friend for recommending this hidden gem . Seating was plentiful. Staff were friendly and service was speedy and hot. I ordered a banana /papaya margarita on the rocks. Strong and delicious! I ordered the arroz con with shrimp. My mom ordered the parilada and my sister a steak fajita. All dishes were hot , plentiful and fulfilling. Prices were reasonable.

We stuck to fish tacos since it was a Friday during lent, but they did not disappoint. The margaritas & mad dog were very good as well and I would highly recommend! I like the idea of the QR codes to order at the tables. It felt like it made the process a bit faster, but it was still a hospitable environment. Everyone was very friendly and we felt taken care of. I prefer the quesadillas with some of the more unique flavors, especially since the price point is very reasonable and you get a fair portion of food. Service: very good. They have QR codes at each table that you can order and pay straight from your phone, which is very convenient and the food always comes out pretty quickly. The staff here is always so nice. Ambience: the majority of the eating area is outdoors in a heated tent. It's a nice vibe and lets you feel like you're sitting outside without actually having to be outside. Parking isn't too bad here, there's a small parking lot right behind the restaurant and then there is typically ample street parking. It can get quite busy at peak times, but they have a great pick up option as well.
