    Pastor torta
    Trevor M.

My fries were amazing. They were cooked to the perfect temp and slightly crispy in a good way. The torta bread tasted fresh and of good quality. The service was attentive and the food came fast. This restraunt checks all the boxes for me. It is moderately priced but understandably so. For a negative, I thought the sandwich was a little dry, perhaps adding some more pastor would make it more juicy. I did have some birria sauce on the table which helped but masked the pastor flavor. Also the avocado was also all placed on one side and on the first bite so I spread those out more evenly. I left feeling very satisfied!

Good food and strong drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has nice decor and plenty of options for photo opportunities.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will go back because they had a wide variety of food that I've never seen at a Mexican restaurant. Two things I didn't like: the waitress refused to let my elderly mother order a kid's chicken finger meal (she doesn't like Mexican food, we were there to celebrate my sister's birthday). I had to go back and forth with the waitress and the manager I guess, finally approved to make the kid's chicken tender meal into an adult meal. We had to ask the waitress several times for eating utensils, by the time we got them, our food was no longer hot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Chilanguita Mexican Kitchen is an amazing Mexican food place with a super cute outdoor patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is nice as well and bigger than you'd expect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a burrito and my boyfriend got the fajita plate and we thought the portion sizes were very big and a great value. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio is a little loud because it's so close to the street but with the music, good vibes, and delicious food, I can get past it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mexican restaurants can be a real hit or miss for me, but this one is definitely a hit! And it's just around the corner from Ted Drewes and Donut Drive-In to round out the night.

The Food was really good! The esquite is a must and the Birria fries omgggg. Honestly any of the Birria stuff is really good. The burrito california was underwhelming but other than that, 8/10 very delicious and friendly staff :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also really cute inside, lots of different LED lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time trying something new and different to start the New Year. Wasn't too keen on the taste- food was average. I and my guest had the same feedback: food is too dry. Need more sauce?? Service could've been better, but there was one person tending bar and tables. It's okay if you want a quick drink on the way home, But I wasn't impressed enough to recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere was the best outcome for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a cozy restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was polite. The food was not my favorite. Everything was hot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was just a fun little place that was super colorful with lots of neon signs and lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated in the bar area and got immediate service asking for drinks and bringing chips and salsa. The food was pretty good. Had a chimichanga with rice and beans. Cheese sauce could have had a little more flavor but didn't ruin any of the other flavors I think it would have added to the wonderful meal. Give it a try!

Tried this place for the first time today and so glad I did! The Taco salad was incredible! Will definitely be back for that. Great bar service, really kind and attentive bartenders. The women's bathroom is a little odd as the toilet paper and paper towels are way up high lol. And the skinny margarita had a weird aftertaste. But overall had a great experience here. A must visit!

First time here. It was ok. I liked the decor. Staff was friendly but the waitress could have come around more. The soda tasted bleachy and uncarbonated. The restaurant itself had a faint moldy smell to it. I got a 3 item combo for $14 which was a good deal but the food was just ok. The shredded chicken was tough and chokey. I had to spit it out because it just wasn't going down. We got birria fries for an app and that was good. I would order that again. I'm not saying I would never go back but I definitely wouldn't order something with shredded chicken. I'd stick with the birria meat.

The lighting and music were at a good level to keep a conversation and see the menu. The menu is huge, and you can find anything you want on it. The chips were typical corn tortilla chips, but the salsa was outstanding, not too hot, and plenty of cilantro for your taste buds. The main dishes arrived in a decent time. I had the spicy Tacos with chicken and chorizo; it was fantastic, a little spicy. The chorizo had a smoky flavor, and the chicken was not tough. Side dishes, rice, and beans. The rice was not sticky at all, and the beans had a smoky flavor unlike that of other Mexican restaurants. They were very tasty. The extra beef taco was filled with beef, no shortcuts there. Wife had the pableno dish. I tried the beef, which was very tender, and the pableno was excellent. My daughter and my wife said the shrimp were bigger than at most restaurants and had a great flavor. ( I'm allergic and could not try the shrimp) My daughter's dish was the spicy Nachos. Again, the beef was the most tender I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant, and I loved the white cheese queso and chorizo. It all just came together. This Mexican Restaurant is definitely a winner in my book. I will be back to try many other dishes. By the way, we went on a Monday night around 7:00 pm, it was not very busy at all.

I prefer the quesadillas with some of the more unique flavors, especially since the price point is very reasonable and you get a fair portion of food. Service: very good. They have QR codes at each table that you can order and pay straight from your phone, which is very convenient and the food always comes out pretty quickly. The staff here is always so nice. Ambience: the majority of the eating area is outdoors in a heated tent. It's a nice vibe and lets you feel like you're sitting outside without actually having to be outside. Parking isn't too bad here, there's a small parking lot right behind the restaurant and then there is typically ample street parking. It can get quite busy at peak times, but they have a great pick up option as well.

Walking up to the entry gives you vacation vibes from The decor, tropical plants and modern aesthetics. Service was 10/10. All the staff we encountered were so friendly. They came by to check on us, and even the owner/manager came out to check in and make sure everything was good. The tacos were absolutely delicious, seasoned well and every ingredient was FRESH. I ordered the Galveston, and the Baja, and my mom ordered the del Rio and the Biloxi, and we shared a trifecta appetiser.. The queso and guacamole and salsa were some of the best ones I've had. This location was very close to where we were. It was the perfect time to try it! Ambiance: I really love the esthetics of the restaurant. The floral arrangements in the front is very inviting and added a great touch. I also loved the covered outdoor seating areas available, along with the indoor option. We surprisingly opted to sit outside, because heat is not my friend. The industrial fan definitely helped! I felt like I was sitting on one of friend's veranda in the carribean Food: I really enjoyed the food. Tacos are a la carte. For appetizer we opted for the Trifecta which came with guac, queso, and rojo salsa. Let me just say, their happy hour deals are a great steal! Order: There are a couple different ways to order & pay. Use the traditional way of having the server take our order by raising the card "Lets Taco Buddha it," or by scanning the QR code and placing order yourself & pay online. At first, I started the online order because I felt like this would allow me more time to read the menu and order on my own terms. I ended up raising my card and having someone take my order despite having it all in my cart. Tacos are served "family style" comes out on the same platter. We opted for the Baja ( battered pallock) & The Jodhpur (marinated grilled chicken). The kiddos opted for the quesadillas and fried chicken taco. Everything was flavorful (with the exception of their hot/mild sauces, those were flavorless, however not necessary to add). Not going to lie, I made a joke to my mom about the food being served on a surgical tray or "doggy platter." LOL lol. Service: They use a team model. I saw multiple staff going throughout the restaurant checking on needs & refilling water pitchers. Everyone was really nice, they had small toys for children to play with at the table and it's always a plus when they strike up a conversation with my kiddos. Parking: We arrived shortly after 4pm and there were lots of spots available. By the time we were leaving, there were two cars waiting for spots. It is also located alongside a busy street, the restaurant did get packed for dinner on a weekday. Pricing: Prices does add up very pretty quickly, however 1 Taco can be very filling especially if you opted for appetizers. The only thing I would have changed is not to order my meal the same time as my appetizer. It came out almost together. I would have liked to enjoyed the appetizers prior to my entrée.

When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!
