We're regulars now. Been dining here for over five years. Our favorite restaurant in area. Love the pork chops and fajita burritos. 8/1/15 We just moved to the Reunion area in Commerce City and are very unfamilar with the CC area...after talking with neighbors they convinced us to drive down to the "core city" about 15 minutes away, normally we stay up in the Brighton and Thornton area, but, we figured what the heck....The core city does not have much to brag about, but, El Jardin seemed to be a gem in the wrong area. We were pleasantly surprised with not only the outside of the building but the inside of if as well. Even though the entrance was a bit confusing and the long narrow hall, the back dining room was warm and cozy...Very clean and welcoming once we were seated. The service was good to almost great throughout the evening....we ordered cadillac margaritas that were awesome and had me buzzed half way through dinner....The good thing about the margaritas is that it made my taste buds immune to the "hot" chile I ordered on my Chimichanga....Flavors reminded me of restaurants I used to frequent in Santa Fe....Overall, it was a great experience and one that I can thank my neighbors for....we'll certainly return. Only draw back was the surronding area, but it was well lit in the parking lot and lots of people were in the waiting area when we left. read more

I cannot explain how disappointed I was when I tried the food there. The taste was so bad I couldn't even eat two bites of my food. Where can I even start I asked for a burrito with limited options of meat. The whole meal tasted sweet and like expired bbq. The service in this place is also bad. Our server checked up on us only because I called her over. She basically threw the food at us. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this place is horrible. My stomach hurt with just two bites of that food. Even the soda that I got tasted just like Clorox. I get you have to clean and sanitize the cups but omg the cup tasted like I was drinking straight up Clorox. read more

El Jardin is the go to Mexican food restaurant for me and my family every Thursday - well worth the 45 minute drive from our place to meet my parents here. Summers on the patio are awesome and you can't beat the drink specials and delicious margaritas. Everything is tasty, tortillas are home made, service is friendly and chili is spicy as it should be. Even the kids enjoy it. My 5 year old is in love with this place and their sopapillas. If you go, make a point to be hungry because the serving sizes very generous and you'll end up wanting to share with your family and/or get desert. read more

Wanted to take an out of town guest for Mexican. The chips and salsa were excellent, our entree's were ok-after we were brought the correct orders-very Armadillo-ish. Our wait staff was awful. He didn't come to the table once-and we were seated right by the wait station (and the tv's-which all the wait staff were consumed in watching). We were never offered drink refills, had to ask him for our bill and to go boxes. Not a place we will be going back-and as a side note, I did try to tell the manager-owner type person of our horrible service, she seemed unconcerned. read more

I got to meet your sister Amy and she was so nice and helpful checking to see if we needed anything. Monica and Kristin(sp.?) were so efficient, attentive and accommodating. Tonight I had the Carne Adovada and an enchilada. First off the steak was unbelievable as usual but the Hot Green Chili was a little hotter than usual! Loved every bite! If you've eaten here before you understand that this is truly a Colorado Gem! But for those who have not..... You need to get the three minuet drive to the local Tres Margaritas out of your mind and take 20 min to taste real Mexican food! And service,? Get out of here! It's always Great!!! Best in town! While it wasn't awful, I don't plan to return to El Jardin. It's way out in Commerce City and a little hard to find. The food was very bland, and over priced. I expected great Mexican food based on the fact that they won the Channel 7 Alist, but I was disappointed. No one at our table was very impressed and all I kept thinking is I wish I had gone somewhere else! Still, service was prompt and polite. read more

they claim if you don't like it it's free. My nephew who is 10 ordered mild, they brought medium, much tloo hot for him. we complained to the server and some clown walking around asking how everything was. No mention of getting another plate etc. Went online and sent them a request and heard nothing..... a promise is only good if you stand behind it. They don't. read more

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. We showed up 6:30 last night with a large party (9 of us) and no reservation. The hosting staff scrambled to get two tables together and had us seated within 10 minutes. The service was excellent! A little on the expensive side, but worth it to know that we will always have a quality dining experience. read more

We have a great time there we go every Thursday night . There food & margaritas are fabulous . The staff are great Jonny the host is the best. Ben the owner is so very nice. We have a fabulous waitress her name is Aracely she know pretty much what we want. We do margarita art every Thursday night we have a great time. read more

The Southwest has a lot of good Mexican food but El Jardin is the best! Super friendly staff. For food my recommendations are the sizzling fajitas, the grilled pork chops and the green chile which all nailed it as did the tequila lime chicken and the puffy sopapillas. read more

This place is a dive but the food is consistently good. We have eaten here several times and keep coming back for more. In my opinion the prices are way to high and have decided not eating here any longer. We always leave dissatisfied. So long El Jardin :( read more
