First and foremost Tacos are excellent. Secondly, the pork egg roll was not what I expected. It was way better. The beans are the best I've had in a restaurant in quite some time and lastly my Jamaica was absolutely delicious. I have to come back for the Birria Ramen. Yes, you read right, Birria Ramen.

It definitely helps to speak Spanish. Service was friendly though despite the language barrier. My only comment would be that they put mandatory gratuity for a party of 2 before we were even seated and they tried to charge us for to-go containers. I've ordered take-out online and never had to pay extra for containers. Ambiance is cute, nicely decorated and clean. Food is what keeps me coming back! So so good! Birria tacos are ON POINT!!

I'm a little embarrassed to say that I have ordered via DoorDash too many times to count! However that's because the food is very good! The beef Birria and chicken Birria are both very good- but I like the beef more! So flavorful! The (elotes) seasoned corn on the cob is very good! The guacamole is delicious and fresh! I will continue to order because they have somewhat late hours and the Birria is some of the best I've tasted!

I have never had Birria Ramen before and now I'm craving it! This spot is so authentic and the dishes are PACKED with flavor. I can taste the cilantro as I type. Gotta try their Birria pizza, Birria nachos + Birria tacos too. The cokes are from Mexico and hit different. Staff was so friendly. Everything was fresh and served hot. Do yourself a favor and find out with this is so highly rated on all the delivery apps!

LORD HAVE MERCY I WAS RESURRECTED BY THIS FOOD My friend heard good stuff from this place bc his coworker recommended and said it's up to par with legitimate tacos from MX. So of course...WE HAD TO TRY! Driving there is a WEE bit sketchy and you have to circle around for street parking but not terribly hard to find. Walking in around 8 it wasn't packed but I assume they get A LOT of takeout orders bc people were coming in and picking up. We placed our order at the cashier and they brought all our food out to us. WARNING: bc they do get a lot of takeout orders and people were coming in throughout the night to sit and eat, pls be patient for your heavenly food bc it does take a bit of time than regular taco places. FOOD ORDERED Chicken Tacos and Birria Tacos - phenomenal. Came in a hard shell but not the ones that just collapse in your hand. It is soft enough to keep all the meat in the shell. We dipped both of them In our soup that it came with and it was DELICIOUS. 1 order comes with 4 and that was good enough for this gal. Chips and guac- ordered for the table. Heavy on the onion but I loved it. We finished the WHOLE tub. Chips was salted beautiful and fresh. Drinks ordered were the tamarind sodas which my friends loved but I actually got a fresh watermelon juice that I saw another customer order. I loved it but my friends said it was heavy on the sugar. I'm sure you can ask them to do a bit less ALL IN ALL: GO HERE!! **Advice: Call 30-45 ahead, order takeout and eat it at one of the tables. Will save you some time waiting at the tables for your food*** By the end of the night this place was packed so come early and hungry! TA TA!

I told myself I wouldn't come back after having a rude encounter with one of the employees that served me a shrimp ramen bowl topped with beef & argued with me that it wasn't- despite me showing him the bits of shrimp throughout the noodles & telling him I was allergic. I decided to visit one of my favorite birria spots one LAST TIME. & dammit idk, this was better than any of the tacos I've had from here. The prices have definitely increased since then & idk if it's still worth going 35-40 mins out my way for. If you can't make it yourself & you're in the area, definitely come out. The refrescas are my favorite!!! I love the watermelon, melon, & pineapple!!! Don't bother picking soda or any other drink but this. We also tried the egg roll, but I wouldn't do it again. It was too much for nothing lmao- not enough crunch.

Had this door dashed lastnight, took over an hour. (Delivery went fast it was this place that seemed busy) anyway, one bag came, just tied not even sealed..I'll start off by saying we were missing an entire dinner! They did not include the chicken ramen, pretty upset about this and that they sent a silly receipt so I can't even see if they forgot it or the Uber eats stole it.. pretty inconveniencing when someone's whole dinner is not sent. And once delivered the restaurant was closed so I couldn't even call them. Anyway. We got the birritta tacos (4 count) and 2 with chicken and beef, We ordered cheese and got a shrimp instead.. another not so fun error when you don't eat shrimp!!!!!! Us and friends won't order from here again, seeing as so many errors was made .. when you order food, especially later at night you expect to get At least get half of it correctly. disappointed.

So happy to find a place doing great birria tacos close to home rather than NYC where I'm not going quite as often now. Ordered over the phone and picked up. Service was very sweet. The space is very nice and cutely decorated. Tacos were really good! Overstuffed but not falling out of the crispy tortillas. Green sauce on the side was tasty but not too spicy and the consommé had a very deep, beefy flavor. Elote was a full corn cob topped with Mayo, salty cheese and spices. Definitely coming back and looking to try the ramen.

I decided to visit el Jardin because I saw a friend post about it on their Instagram. Since I came during COVID, I decided get my order to go but I believe they did have indoor dining. I ordered the beef birria taco and the chicken birria tacos. The birria tacos were soo good and it also came with a consomme that you dip the tacos in. The wait is around 30 mins for the birria tacos but there is a parking lot close by so you can park and wait there. Each order of the Birria tacos costs 13 dollars which includes 4 tacos and the consommé. I recommend calling ahead to place your order for pick up. I will be returning to try the noodles because they look so good.

First...only 4 stars because I did not dine in and had a 3rd party delivery service pick up and deliver to my hotel so I cannot review the restaurant or service. However...the birria tacos I ordered are 5 star. So good! I ordered the beef. You get 4 tacos, consume and two salsas, a red and a green. All are fantastic. The beef is soooooo tender none of the meat pulls out when you bite into it. Seriously delicious. You can order extra neat but you don't need it. The tacos are packed with plenty of meat, nice amount of cheese, onion and cilantro. You can also order e tra crispy. I opted to get them as is. Pricing is good but of course through Ubereats it's a bit more. I highly recommend this place. If I were here longer I'd definitely want to try more of the menu or dine it. Give them a shot, you for sure won't be disappointed by the tacos.

When I came to the store, it was filthy, but whatever. I wanted to speak to an employee because I ordered two things of tacos, beef eggroll, and elotes. I only received my tacos, and instead of acknowledging their mistake they just insisted I handle it through Uber Eats to get the refund instead of giving me the items. Poor, lazy customer service. read more

birria birria birria! birria ramen -- never seen before, but man this needs to be a thing. they basically take a tapatio flavored cup ramen, use the noodles and packaging, but they add birria consomme with onions and cilantro. for delivery, they had cooked the noodles with the broth, then put the noodles into the cup, and packaged the consomme separately, so the noodles didn't expand much, still good texture by the time it got to us. their birria tacos are pretty good, they offer more than just beef. i got the beef and the shrimp, both had cheese and onions/cilantro, but the beef wins out for me. i'll definitely be ordering from here again! read more

El Jardin had the best birria tacos with great portion size. It seems like they've made a portion adjustment which resulted in the tacos to become smaller, to the point where the dipping sauce is bigger than the entree itself... I was able to eat 2 tacos before their changes and would get full, now with the new portion I found myself still hungry after finishing them... I decided to then go with the birria noodle soup, but it had a bland taste. Hopefully they can revert back from these changes as the price wasn't worth the quantity. read more

Ordered delivery and overall, was quite bland and greasy. Elote, rice, and beans were all very good. Chicken and beef tacos were fairly flavorless and the shells were almost damp looking (grease). Chips were okay, nothing notable about them. $85 for two people; Wouldn't order again. read more

Went to El Jardín for their famous birria tacos and I was pleased! The tacos were flavorful and the consommé was perfectly paired. I tried beef and pork and was pleased with both. The cilantro, onions and radishes that garnished the tacos were fresh and added great flavor. I would definitely recommend calling ahead to order as wait times can be long. I went on a Sunday and it was still pretty busy with takeout orders. Also parking can be a hassle as well. Definitely recommend parking on a side street and walking over if possible read more

Ugh so damn good. I got the beef birria tacos and my friend got the pork and beef birria ramen. Tacos were so delicious. 1 order comes with 4 medium/small size tacos and consommé. Next time I'd order 2 orders because I keep craving more! I didn't feel stuffed after one order but two might be too much. My friend liked her ramen a lot too. read more

This is my second time Trying a restaurant that makes Birria tacos in passaic, their tacos are full of meat and flavor they were Amazing, I wish the console had a little more meat, it was a little water down, they are full of amazing flavor, I love them. The only downside it's the wait, order ahead of time if you are picking up, When I got there after 30 mins my order was still not ready and as I get there I saw other people also complaining about the wait. They need to fix that issue but other than that food was amazing witch was more important to me :) Must try. read more

Place has potential but seriously the tacos have changed for the worse, seems there pre making there tacos, 4 dollars for pico de gallo supposedly large and its maybe 2 oz there, the tacos tasted old and reheated. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Also do not order for delivery they use a third party which charges you can additional 8 dollars for delivery read more

After my experience at El Jardin this Saturday 2/24/24 I will never return. The Shrimp tacos were extremely salty. The lady in the front with green eyes had an attitude upon my arrival. I returned inside of the restaurant to ask them for a new batch, giving them the benefit of the doubt; I told them it may be possible their hand slipped when seasoning the tacos. They told me it wouldn't be possible because I already "bit into the taco" ....... How would I know how the food tasted? (The man in the front also inspected my food without any gloves and tried to return it to me. "Do you still want them?" He asked. I took a photo of the food after he dismantled it.) Anywho... they said a refund wouldn't be possible that they could however make a new batch but they would have to charge me all over again. Overall nasty customer service and behavior from the staff. TERRIBLE PLACE!!! Went there for some tacos. Walked in and it was empty. Ordered two orders of tacos, one of al pastor and de bistek and also una torta de pollo de milanesa that was suppose to be spicy. I ordered the Al pastor cause it was on the cheaper side, the menu said either $12 or $13 can't remember exactly. Point is we waited about 35-40 mins to get our food and we were the only ones there. We get the food and the salsa and it wasn't even spicy. The food was 4/5 out of 10. The waiter did not give us napkins, service was terrible. We ordered our check and it showed the Al pastor tacos were $19!!! Like what?!?! Insane price when the menu had a whole different price. I went up to the waiter and obviously said something about it and they were like we haven't updated our prices on our menu... and would not honor the price. Like whose fault is that? Not mine. Theirs. This place is terrible. I do not recommend. Our total was $67 and gratuity was included already. NOT WORTH THE PRICE BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE AND THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. Would never come back and would not recommend this place. I should have just gone to Brenda Lee that has better tacos and cheaper prices. read more

I first tried birria tacos during a trip to Mexico and fell in love. As soon as we got home we knew we *needed* to find a local spot that made them. I'm so freakin happy that we came across El Jardin in our search for birria tacos because holy crap, these are pretty close to what we had in Mexico and they're absolutely delicious!! The tortilla is fried just right, the meat is tender and flavorful and the consume is great. The only con was that it took so long to get our 2 orders of tacos. It was a Saturday around 7pm, so I'm assuming they had a ton of takeout orders being called in too. But it probably took 45 mins for 6 tacos to come out. I will say though, they were so good that I would 100% go back knowing that it might be a super long wait again. Definitely go check them out!! And if you're impatient like I can be, just call ahead and get them to go. They were even delicious the next day when we reheated them in the oven! read more

Heard about this little place from a friend and saw how amazing the tacos looked. I've had birria before but as a meal with rice and beans. So when I got my opportunity to visit recently I was super excited because who doesn't love tacos. The idea of delicious beef tacos being dipping in the consume sauce was just amazing. When I heard they also made birria ramen i was like wow ok I definitely I for sure need this too. So I ordered the beef birria tacos love how you get 4 of them and a side of consume for a great price. I also ended up being spontaneous and ordering the beef birria ramen as well! Great price for something that big and I must say it was so delicious but it was hard enjoying the beef if you pour too much of the soup into the noodles and beef. I tried the chicken birria from my sister and I didn't enjoy it as much because the chicken to me seemed too dry. I surely recommend people coming and trying this spot out and I will be back for more! read more

El Jardin tacos where really good flavor wise. Me and my friend also ended up getting the birria ramen, although the flavor was good we found it to be extremely spicy, I actually had a tummy ache the next day. I would say if u tolerate spicy go for it but eat it quickly because if u don't the noodles will absorb all the juicy and it doesn't taste quite pleasant after. The other reason I gave it 3 Stars is because we had to wait 1 hour and a half just for tacos which we thought was absurd but waited anyway to see what the hype was about. I recommend ordering ahead of time. read more

As a true Californian who grew up in the city bordering Tijuana, I'd like to say my expertise in Mexican food is high up there. So living in upstate NY it is hard to find that flavor that just feels like home. These past couple weeks I had been craving some birria tacos, and I had heard AMAZING things about this place. So my girls and I take the day to drive all the way down to NJ. As we arrive to the neighborhood, I felt back home. As we walk in we are received by a girl with a really deep voice, he didn't even bother to say hello, we had ordered online, when we tell him the order name he still doesn't say a word. He hands us our order, and walks away. I had asked for limes and he didn't even come back, until another lady arrived and yelled "HELLO" then he came back. The food WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I would recommend to everyone, but the service was lacking, but hey there's always room for improvement, correct? Thank you for your amazing food !! Do not go here! they Always mess up the order, first received Someone else's order after explaining this is the wrong order the counter girl gets mad at me, she wanted me to take the wrong order what's the difference it just has onions. After back and forth they took another 45 mins to get me the right Order get home and realize they put onions in it anyway. Not worth waiting another 45 mins or the drive back. read more

Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
