This is an amazing restaurant sitting out on the patio was very cool. It's very colorful and has a beautiful tree with shade. We ordered the Molcajete. It came with chicken, Carne, Asada, chorizo, queso, and Napolis and Mariscos. The rice and beans portion were fairly small but confined with all the food. It was more than enough. Everything was delicious and hot.

Street tacos on Tuesday MUST be same protein. All the dishes had all the finishing touches you expect in a true Mexican dish. Pickled veggies Highly recommend and will be back

The walled tree-filled patio and misters created a shaded space that was 10 to 15 degrees cooler than just being outside. Thank goodness!! The servers were helpful and efficient, no small talk. We ordered a strawberry walnut salad, steak quesadillas, and tacos gobernadors. The salsa that came out with the chips was just ok but the chips were fantastic. We didn't get offered more though when our bowl ran out. The salad was colorful, beautiful and delicious. The tacos were fantastic. The quesadilla was good but was so huge we had to take some to go. We also had Jamaica agua fresca. This is a Pepsi only spot for those of you Coca Cola lovers. The bathroom was Palm Springs mod and had a track of songbirds playing. It was really nice. We appreciated the good food and respite from the heat.

What a fun place to visiting Palm Springs for Mexican food! We arrived around 4pm and were seated right away. It was pretty full when we left. We were able to enjoy the happy hour margaritas with some delicious dishes. The service is great and the ambiance is fun and colorful!

Hidden gem not so hidden anymore. Still serving authentic dishes and providing excellent service. One can't beat having a margarita under their beautiful tree on a hot summer day. If you know you know. My favorite item is their chiles gueros with shrimp. Chefs kiss! A must try, trust me. Also had to have their fish tacos. Freshly made with an abundance of flavors. Don't sleep on their micheladas. My wife fell in love with their coconut margaritas. Super yummy. Also shared a cantarito. More than enough for two people. We had an awesome time like always.

Very nice venue, great patio under a cool tree. Fast service and quick seating too. Food was pretty good too, the tamales were flavorful and a nice texture. The eggs were drenched in oil and the portion of enfrijoladas was pretty meager and not filling (please see essentially empty plate) but besides that the food that was there tasted decently good.

Mid morning in the patio and the shade. Bright colorful patio with a a fiesta vibe. Started with complementary chips and salsa. Excellent. She ordered a Bloody Mary and we waited. Reminded our server and still we waited. Finally on the third time it arrived. But don't blame the bartender, check back on our order and bring it. Carnitas platter had pork, beans, rice , guacamole, pico de gallo and house made tortillas. All pretty good. She chose chilaquiles with eggs and potatoes. Again nice breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast and may go here again on our next visit.

Very good experience at this outdoor dining spot right next to downtown Palm Springs! Perfect for a visit before heading over to the Palm Springs Thursday night market! The ambiance here is modern and cozy, with lanterns illuminating the dining area and a good amount of heaters, helpful after the sun goes down. You are served chips with salsa the minute you sit down, and the salsa is quite impressive! Service was quick, even with a big group. We got several individual entrees and a molcajete, which was definitely the star of the show. The carne asada and chicken from the molcajete were to die for -- perfectly seasoned and they paired so well with the warm tortillas. We also had the flan for dessert, which was solid!

Looking for great Mexican food in the Palm Springs area? You gotta check this out. A chill and sabrosa outdoor dining experience. If you like it spicy, ask for the salsa sampler to try with the chips. I was disappointed that they were out of Mole Ranchero, but they offered to let me swap the chicken for pork in the Enchiladas de Mole. It was deliciosa! Great food, great vibe, and great food

Elias managing the bar solo and was still the most fun bartender and made me the best drinks. Extra spicy The food and drinks were fantastic. This is one of my staples in Palm Springs.

This place hit the bar on all three of those pillars. We sat outside and a few of us ordered the margarita flight, while a few others ordered other cocktails. They were all really enjoyable and well balanced. We asked our server for his favorite thing on the menu and he suggested the steak plate and one other dish. The next person who came to our table also suggested the steak plate and ahi taco. 3-4 of us ended up ordering the steak plate, one ordered the quesabirria tacos. The elotes street corn was absolutely delicious. The sour cream on top just really sent it over the edge, the best I've ever had. Their flan was also exceptional. I'm not typically a fan of flan, but this one was really good. Top notch! Everyone absolutely loved their dish. The steak plate was absolutely wonderful. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the grilled onion was so good. The guacamole was flavorful, and it all went really nicely with the tortillas and other accoutrements. We had a great time and enjoyed amazing food. Highly, highly recommend. Pretty much all the girls agreed at the end of the weekend that this had been our favorite spot.

This review is more about the maintenance and conditions of the parklet seating area. My friends and I visited on a Sunday evening around 6:30pm. It wasn't peak season and it was about 100°F outside. Since we didn't have reservations, we were told we could only be seated in the outdoor parklet area. Another group of six arrived shortly after us and was visibly upset about the same situation and ultimately left, but we decided to stay and give it a try. Unfortunately, the parklet itself felt unsafe. My heel got stuck between the floorboards and several sections of the flooring were lifted. I nearly fell but caught myself by landing on an empty chair. The staff were very kind and helped me remove my shoe, which I appreciated. However, the outdoor setup made the dining experience very uncomfortable. We were constantly dealing with flies around our food, and no fans or coverings were provided to help with the heat or food exposure. Additionally there was a piece of hair on my friend's nachos. It was difficult to enjoy the meal in those conditions. As for the food, we ordered nachos and a carne asada plate with drinks, and while the food itself was good, the environment made it hard to enjoy it fully. The bill came out to nearly $150, and given the conditions, it felt disappointing. I would strongly recommend management: * Address the unsafe and uneven parklet flooring * Improve outdoor dining comfort (fans, pest control, etc.) * Allow indoor seating when space is available, especially in extreme heat The staff and food were great, but the dining environment needs attention to match the price point and quality of the kitchen.

My fiance and I were in Palm Springs celebrating his retirement and I'd booked a reservation at Melvyn's well in advance. Unfortunately, their lack of service ruined our experience, and we walked out after waiting 25 mins to even get so much as a water. We decided to head to Sancho's and were immediately sat. Our server, Rene, was an absolute joy! He promptly brought us waters, beverages, and the some of the best fajitas EVER. In the time it took for us to walk in and out of Melvyn's, we already had everything--water, drinks, and food. Good thing too, because we were hungry! I can't say enough good things about Sancho's. They are a small business, and the hotel doesn't own them, so I'm sure they've weathered a lot with the loss of foreign tourism and tariffs. But their food and service is ON POINT and I'm so grateful to them for helping us turn a bad situation into a great one. I am still dreaming about those sizzling fajitas...they're a great deal for the price, and apparently if you go Friday's you can get the Fajita Friday discount!

The only positive is the decor,it's nice and has a cool Polynesian/mid-century vibe. That's where anything good ends. The service was terrible. We asked about specials as first-time customers, and our waitress conveniently failed to mention the Taco Tuesday deal. Instead, she rushed us to order. We later realized we ordered multiple taco plates that should have qualified for the special, but she never said a word. The food was even worse. I ordered fajitas, and what I was served was completely unacceptable,no vegetables, no resemblance to fajitas, just chopped chicken covered in chorizo and tomato sauce. It was disgusting. I took one bite and couldn't eat it. I planned to send it back, but the waitress disappeared and never came back to the table. I was stuck with it and only ate the sides, which tasted like reheated frozen vegetables and a small cup of beans. Despite barely touching the food and not receiving what I ordered, I was still charged as if everything was fine, about $22 for a plate I couldn't eat. When I finally addressed it, she insisted it was "fajitas," which is honestly ridiculous. To top it off, when my husband asked for a box, the waitress came back after handling cash and used her bare hands, with long acrylic nails,to grab his taco and put it in the container. That is completely unsanitary and unacceptable. Bad service, disgusting food, and poor hygiene. I will not be returning and will be reporting this place to the health department. Avoid this place. Warning Positive reviews are obviously coming from ownership friends.
