Great service. Folks is in shirts and ties. Love it. Great seating. Food was good. Mint lemonade was fresh and flavorful. Steak quesadilla was really good although I was not expecting beans. The people knew I liked spice and brought out a spicy sauce. Would recommend

It was a Saturday night, and we since Mexican food is a favorite cuisine around here, we wanted to try a new place. My husband found El Limón when searching for newer spots, and we decided it was worth a visit. Tucked away just off Plymouth Rd, El Limón offers fresh and delicious options served up by friendly and hospitable staff. They saw our little one and immediately got a melamine plate and plastic cutlery out. I picked the Cajun shrimp taco dinner, and the portions were generous. I had planned to share, but neither of my companions likes too much spice, so I got the meal all to myself. I was able to take some of it home for a repeat the next day! The staff was very welcoming and let our kiddo try a sample of mango smoothie. I saw the sugar rush as their eyes widened with the first sip, and their review was that it was good! El Limón is a great spot for a bite of Mexican food and well worth a visit!

Fantastic casual dining. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the friendly, caring, and funny staff. They make me want to dine here everyday! There's a variety of seating for individuals, families, and larger groups around the place for any occasion, and there's beautiful art and decor to enjoy. But let's talk food! The menu has a ton of options, each meal sounding delicious and unique. You can't find this type of food anywhere else. You can't beat the price for this quality, either. I can't wait to return and order everything else they have to offer!

Normally I wouldn't bother reviewing someplace I just popped in because it looked open and had Mexican food; but the number of 5 star reviews makes me wonder if it's the same restaurant? First, the atmosphere is okay considering it's in a strip mall; not great, not terrible. The menu was a surprise, as we were expecting Mexican, but it is Mexican/MidEastern. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to the table. Being familiar with both cuisines, I had no interest in combining the two. Vegetarian options were limited to cold dry rice, barely cooked red and green peppers, hard falafel, bland grape leaves, soft (no hard) shells. The tacos consisted of dry ground beef on top of soft shells. I asked for sour cream and salsa to jazz it up, I received a tablespoon of each item. The guy working was nice and friendly; not sure how so many reviewers mention 'the owner'. was that him? No clue. My review based on food alone would be a ONE, but the nice server guy helped make the situation palatable.

Amazing helpful staff, the food is delicious and fresh. The portions were huge! Highly recommended! The setting is comfortable and clean. Today was our first time, but we are already planning to return! Great job! Who knew blending Mediterranean and Mexican dishes would be so delicious!

Interesting idea with the Mexican/Mediterranean fusion food. Definitely seems more Mexican inspired but the food was great!

The cafe is a few tables inside of the market/deli, with a lot of takeout happening but I love that they offer dining in as they heat everything up for you and it's all presented very nicely. We ordered a ton of things: harissa dip, hummus, pita, spice roasted cauliflower, tabbouleh, lasagne verde, chicken tagine, and gelato. I loved that the menu indicates which menu items have a smaller carbon footprint - and we happened to be dining there on Earth Day! The food was all flavorful and the perfect temperature, which I appreciated. My favorites were the harissa dip, tabbouleh, and the lasagne verde. The chicken tagine was very good, and we enjoyed the leftovers the next day. The spice roasted cauliflower left us wanting it to be a bit more crispy, but it was a nice side. The gelato is delicious - it's made by Palazzolo's but El Harissa provides them with the unique ingredients for their specialty flavors. They were out of some but we got to sample several. We ended up with the roasted pistachio gelato and the apricot peach cardamom. The texture of the gelato was perfectly creamy and the flavors were strong. The market has lots of great items to buy: chips, tunisian olive wood pieces, spices, etc. I'm so glad we sought out this spot and can't wait to get more of their food!

One thing I absolutely love is their fresh-baked pita - soft, warm, and honestly hard to stop eating once it hits the table. I've tried a good portion of their menu, especially the chicken dishes. Most of the time everything tastes fresh and flavorful, though I'll say the deboned chicken can be hit or miss, sometimes perfectly cooked, other times a bit dry. The atmosphere is beautiful and lively, making it a great place for both casual meals and celebrations. One of their fun highlights is Hoda, the robot, which delivers food to your table, definitely a hit, especially with kids and first-time visitors. There's plenty of seating and a huge space, so it works well for all group sizes, from small family dinners to large parties. Service is generally smooth despite how busy it gets, and overall the food usually feels fresh and satisfying. A solid Mediterranean spot with great vibes, fun touches, and reliable favorites, especially if you're dining with a group.

We got seated right before a waitlist started building. The QR code ordering wasn't working for us, but you can just order at the counter and the staff were helpful, so it wasn't a big deal. I got the Juicy Sean wrap, the pkhali side plate, and the chocolate tahini shake. The walleye in the wrap was really good, super fresh and light. I think next time I'd get extra sauce though because it leaned a little dry for me. The pkhali side plate was great. I've heard it's seasonal, which makes me want to come back and see what else they rotate in. The flatbread paired really well with it. The chocolate tahini shake was good. I'd heard a lot about it. It just didn't stand out as much as I expected personally. Overall I really liked it and I'd come back, especially to try more of the seasonal stuff.

Though it wasn't exactly authentic, it was pretty good! I liked the toppings, but felt like the ratio between toppings:rice was too low. I ended up with a lot of rice and nothing to eat it with. Could have definitely used more fish. I also tried some of the Pkhali and it was really good! The flavor of the wrap was delicious also. Highly recommended.

If I had gotten my full order it probably would have been a 5 star meal. I had the Dearborn sandwich which was basically a chicken shawarma, dark chicken meat with garlic paste and pickles. My husband was away at a conference so I could get freaky with the garlic and ordered an extra side of it to dip my fries in it, too. Alas, no fries so I dipped my sandwich right into it instead. It was POTENT and delicious! Just how I like it. I also ordered a small hummus and pita chips. It was a pretty generous serving for small and was excellent. Nice and smooth and the pita chips were so good! I ran out of pita chips so I'd add an extra side of those next time. So yes, there will be a next time, because it was really good, but I'll be sure to ask my delivery person to double check that everything is in the bag next time.
