The food portion are so big and so good. It's enough to feed 2 or take left over. This place had a live bad every Friday night and it packed and full of joy and fun. The drinks are very good.. love this place. The staff is always nice and friendly.

Of the chain of El Loros in the Twin Cities south metro, this is the one! Squeaky clean (truly!), friendly and efficient service, fulsome menu, and generous portions set it apart from the rest. Located in a former Wendy's building, this is a hidden gem in Burnsville. The access is not convenient depending on which directions from which you are approaching. Be prepared for a festive atmosphere and semi-loud traditional Mariachi Mexican music. Everything I have had in the menu has been flavorful and filling--you really can't go wrong here!

Loved the live music playing tonight. Great service and the food was overall pretty good.

The food here is magnificent! I usually always get the chicken fajitas since they're my favorite! The chimichangas are also to die for! I have been coming here for years and El Loro will forever be my go-to Mexican food. The margaritas are also beyond delicious and will have you feeling great by the time your food arrives. Love the chips/salsa/white salsa when you arrive and they will always bring more! Keep up the amazing work

I'm a little bummed with our experience from El Loro, but after reading a few of the reviews I think I could've saved myself from some disappointment. We've been meaning to try El Loro for a while now but just haven't gotten around to it. For Yelp's National Night In we decided this was the perfect opportunity so we ordered quite the spread of food, paid a little higher price than we probably normally would've with the delivery and tip and waited anxiously. Delivery after placing our order was rather quick, somehow though half of our food was already cold which was a little disappointing. I ordered all beef for my three different meat options, as other reviews have said the beef was not cooked well and in my opinion could've used some seasoning. However, I did opt for the cheese sauce which helped save my meal a bit. I had thought about going with chicken but switched my mind last minute, don't do what I did, go with the chicken! My fiance loved his food however, so a three star experience from us for now.

Been here quite a bit. But, this was the first time on a Thursday night. I'm not sure if it's a regular occurence just on this night, but the live mariachi band is a nice touch. The food here is decent and about what you'd expect from a chain Mexican restaurant. The service is *usually* good but I've had a couple slow, unattentive waitstaff in the past. I would also advise against anything with shredded beef unless you prefer it to be very charred and tough. I like to order the el loro especial (tamale with two flautas and guacamole salad) or the chilaquiles when I go here.

Very pleased with this place. Server was professionally pleasant. Restaurant was pretty clean with good ambiance. Complimentary house recipe salsa and white sauce were outstanding (never seen white sauce this far from the East Coast); however, the food took a little while to come out, so having our own bowls would have been nice. Server did a good job refilling the basket despite the time delay. Food tasted great and was hot when it got to the table. Will return... Enjoyed this place.

Super fun spot at the back of the restaurant Burgers and Bottles!…read more Everyone enjoyed their drinks and our server was super helpful with decisions. My NA drink had house grenadine that I was skeptical of in theory, but I trusted our server who promised it was not the sickeningly sweet stuff I was imagining. I am glad I trusted him- combining the grenadine with pineapple and lime too made it amazing. The fries were under-salted but the drinks, service, and atmosphere made up for it.

First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.

Lots of little photo opportunities and a bar, which was thoroughly decorated and was playing classic horror movies! The staging in each room was really good--a lot better than expected! There were jump scares throughout and a cute photo opportunity at the very end. My tickets were for 8, but I didn't get to go in until 9 because the line was slow. We did get to see two showings of an aerialist in line, which did help make it a bit more bearable. However, you figure out that the line is so slow because they do a good job of keeping each group small and spaced out, allowing you to enjoy the haunted house at your own pace. The house was actually a well decorated maze, so it was a puzzle trying to figure out where to go. The actors cannot touch you, but there was a good amount of jump scares. We ended up taking 20-25 minutes to go through the maze. There were also a couple photo opportunities inside. We exited into a gift shop and went to the bar which had a drag show (i think this was a special and isn't a regular occurrence, so it was a nice surprise). i also love that there were lots of photo ops outside. I didn't pay for my tickets and $40 sounds a little steep but it was fun, and I'm seeing some discounts available for specific dates and MEA weekend, so I would say it's worth it if you find a discount day!
