We visited for happy hour taco bar. Not too many places offer the happy hour food for free any more. Tacos were basic with meat, beans, cheese, black olives, salsa and sour cream. We had the Father's Day Brunch and noticed is was very cold as we sat down. The vents above us were blowing cold air on us and made it very difficult to enjoy our meals. We started with the breakfast buffet and were satisfied with the selection. However, when we had the lunch buffet, the chicken and the ribs were dry and the temperature in there caused it to be cold. We used to love coming here. It's close to home and the food is always delicious Something happened over the last 6 months or so that's made us frequent it less and last night was about enough. My husband ordered drinks while I was in the restroom. Same drinks we've been ordering for 5 years. Mine came wrong. No big deal until the server never came back. 15 minutes later my husband had to go in the restaurant to find him. When he explained about my drink. He was told it wouldn't be removed from the bill because it's what my husband had ordered which was not true. He paid the bill. No big deal. I'll drink it. We wanted to order food but after that decided we didn't want to wait longer. The server came by grabbed the menus off our table and I explained my frustration. He kind of apologized but didn't really seem to care. Said they were busy. They were not. The other issue we've noticed in past visits is that if you aren't a regular, you don't get service at the bar. You can sit at the bar for 10-15 minutes while the bartenders chat with the regulars and then they might get to you. We'll be taking a Casper's break in hopes things can change. read more

Salads were bigger and better than a usual dinner salad plus there was fresh bread! Minnesota chicken wasn't great would skip that, the walleye dinner- good batter GREAT piece of fish. Everything can use some salt & pepper but that's fine by me. The bar area is a huge barn area that's a lot of fun with above and beyond TV options. Ok I was hoping for more from this place. Inside was crazy at and definitely had the steakhouse feel. The bread they brought was really good. I had steak and au gratin potatoes. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the potatoes were like homemade mac and cheese just with potatoes. I will dream about them for sure. The house salad was basic but the blu cheese dressing was to die for. Thick with chunks of blu cheese. Husband had the pork chop with apples it was super good. And a backed potato. I'm a regular karaoke singer on Friday and Saturday nights. I went in tonight to find out they canceled Karaoke for the whole weekend due to Wolves and Wild games. The atmosphere was very laid back and upbeat for a Saturday night. There was options for a quiet dinning room the bar seating area or patio. We decided to enjoy the patio and it was a great choice not too loud but not quiet. Beautiful area with a bar and bags many seating types and music over the speakers. I had the Saturday night prime rib special it was awesome. She had the Minnesota chicken and was I'd it was very good as well! Would have give five stars but it did take a bit to get our drinks ordered. I feel this had alot to do with a large class reunion party they had. This review is primarily about the bar area, but I have also been to the restaurant a number of times so I will add a bit about that as well. First of all, if you are looking for a fun place to watch a football game or enjoy Happy Hour this bar is really fantastic. Large space with bar seating, high tops, and booths on the bottom floor and additional seating upstairs too. Lots of TVs, great game and Happy Hour specials and quality drinks! This time we tried from their long list of Long Island Tea varieties and that was an excellent choice! The appetizer menu is varied and quite tasty! We shared the Half Sheet of Nachos with chicken (Excellent!) and ended up getting some Chicken Tenders as well a little later and those were really good too which nice sized tenders, just the right amount of breading and perfectly cooked chicken! I'm kind of hungry again for them just thinking about it....might be heading back again soon... The ambiance is loud but friendly, a nice group of people from the area come, and it was decorated so nice for the holidays with lots of lights. Quite festive! Parking is the biggest downside as there rarely seems to be enough and some rows are awkward to get in/out. When it's busy that is kind of a pain, but overall it works out. The restaurant is also very nice with a steakhouse vibe. Great beef soup, sandwiches and entrees. We haven't always been Wowed but never disappointed either. Casper's is a fun bar that has many events such as Karaoke on Saturday! The place is very busy and service is a tad slow just because of how busy. The server is very attentive and remembered my name multiple times. The place is decorated with a lot of Christmas lights making it very Vibey! We stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night and chose to sit in the bar area, as the dining room was eerily empty. The bar was hopping and they offered the full menu. Our server eventually came over and she was an absolute sweetheart. Had she not been, I probably would have left, but I was committed at that point. She had great beer suggestions and offered to bring me samples, which was helpful. My husband said his bacon cheeseburger was "a 10/10". I got the smaller of the two steaks with a salad and au gratin potatoes. I like my meat mooing, and my rare steak was cooked perfectly. The salad that came with the meal was huge and very crispy. The chicken tenders were perfect! Booths are on available and high tops in the middle. Bar seating is also available. There are several TVs. This is a fantastic spot for a Vikings fan and I'm sure they will make room for a packer fan or two. There are GIGANTIC TV's perfect for the game. They have such fun decorations for Halloween. They are air filled and lit up. My group sat in the restaurant side and it was fairly quiet. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't a wait at all. We could defiantly tell the party was on the bar side. Our servers were very kind and helpful. Our food came rather quickly. I ordered the Caesar salad and it was very large and very good. I will say I was surprised by some of the ingredients. One star for the steak being bland, one star for the price, one big steak and a piece of fish with no drinks shouldn't be $100. $75 for Texas Roadhouse for two premium steaks and the steaks are much better. Come on guys... you have a reputation and legacy to uphold, I know you can do much better than this. Good place for a warm cozy comfort food experience. I tried the grilled salmon which was very good. You can choose several sides but they are famous for potatoes au gratin so I chose those served hot and very cheesy. My meal also came with a side salad. Upon arrival it was a bit confusing as to if we had to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. We followed other people in to the bar area and asked the bartender who told us to sit anywhere. The bar was understandably noisy and not ideal for eating with family. My husband went to the restroom and said there was a dining room where people were sitting so we went in there and sat at a booth. There was two place settings and while the busser gave us menus and filled the two glasses of water she seemingly didn't notice there was a third person needing a place setting and water. The server was super pleasant and looked busy. Her customer service was excellent though. The food came out quickly. The meat was cooked to how we wanted it to. The cheeseburger passed my daughter's critique. My mashed potatoes were good however I should've tasted the gravy before dumping it on. The gravy was a bit too salty for me. We arrived looked for a friend named B. and me and my family member gave her name and they said there was no party by that name. We walked around a little bit and then left. I called my family and asked them to double check the address and they said it was correct. So I went back in and walked around some more and even asked was there an upper level or area for parties and was told there was an upper level with all guys but no females in that group. So again looked around and left. Texted friend and she said we were in the back room. No one every mentioned there was a private back room for parties. I was there on 12-22-2023 for my 81st birthday. we went for lunch about 1:00 and the food was very good but the wait staff was very unfriendly. she spoke to us very little, didn't ask about anything to drink, was gone for long periods between service such as giving her our order, the bill was just placed on the table as she walked by and the sat there a while waiting to be picked up. This is a pretty fun restaurant/bar located right off of cedar in Eagan. I came here for a birthday party that was located in their party room, which they have two of them with plenty of cute decorations and privacy. Food for this party included a delicious taco bar, mixed fruit, pop and water and wings. The waitresses were excellent, quick and on top of everything and it wasn't too over-the-top in your face kind of service. The bar was slightly separate from the restaurant which was kind of nice. I had a hankering for fish. I was really craving seafood and when I heard that Caspers was having an AYCE Seafood Fest on Fridays I decided to take my wife and daughter and try it out. First off, we were seated in the Barn area (you will understand if you ever go) so it was a little louder than what we were wanting for a nice Friday evening dinner but we didn't want to wait as long so this one is on us. Both of us went with the seafood special, my wife getting Shrimp Scampi and I opting to try the Walleye. Let's start with the shrimp. It was good, but you could tell they were being produced in mass production. Scampi didn't have a ton of flavor; it was almost more like unthawed shrimp. My wife on the second round tried the Grilled version and it is basically the same thing but without the somewhat garlic butter. She wasn't too impressed. The walleye I had wasn't bad. I didn't really like the breading used. It reminded me of almost pancake batter, something that would be wrapped around a breakfast corndog. Way too thick and bready compared to the measly fish inside. It wasn't bad but I guess I would have liked a thinner batter used. Lastly with food, I do need to give a shout out that you got a nice sized salad and bread with dinner, so it was a bargain for the whole meal price. Our service was great. Our waitress was attentive to our needs, made sure we were able to eat all we could, and checked back with our table a ton. She rocked. One last thing to give a shout out to. They have a crane game inside their bar area which is actually a water tank filled with live lobsters. If you catch a lobster from this tank you get it cooked and served to you for free. I don't know if that would be considered animal cruelty, but I love it! I want one for my house. It is like Red Lobster met Chuckie Cheese. I felt like I was somewhere in Maine where the lobster are teeming they have to figure out ways to get rid of them. Ha! All in all, I don't know if I would say this is a fancy supper club as it might have once been known for. First time ever. Bought Friday special walleye fish and chips to go. Said $13.99 on sign and website. Charged $14.99 plus an agreed 15% tip. Ok I guess Fish was the best I've had in a long time.
