    Memphis Hot Chicken 6 Piece

We were in Eagan and had two hours while our daughter was at a birthday party, and we asked a friend for a restaurant suggestion. Without hesitation, he told us to go to Yankee Tavern. We were seated right away, and the Halloween decorations were awesome! (Our son loved walking around and checking out all the spooky creatures while we waited for our food.) $3 Hamms pints during Happy Hour? Yes, please! The kiddo had a cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate milk. The burger was huge! My husband and I split the six piece fried chicken, Memphis Hot! This came with three sides of our choice, so we got tater tots, Szechuan green beans, and coleslaw. It was SO MUCH food! We took half home and had it for lunch the next day. Flavors were good and service was fantastic. The only downside is that it's far away from our house. I will absolutely go back if we have the opportunity.

Sat at the bar. Bar was pretty full but tables were open. Bartender wasn't friendly. Acted like we were an inconvenience. Disappointed. Food was ok. Brisket was way too salty. Cheese curd was delicious though.

Dry rub wings and the best blue cheese I've ever had

I've been to Yankee Tavern many times with family and friends. Decided to get the dry rub chicken wings and cheeseburger flatbread for the first time, and OMG they were both SO GOOD!!! The wings had a smoky flavor and the blue cheese was the best I've ever had. The flatbread crust was buttery and crispy. I don't know how I've gone this long without ordering either of these items. Will definitely be back!

First time coming to Yankee Tavern on 6/11/2021. The place was clean, the tables were spaced well enough for social distancing and the booths had covered partition in between. The staff was attentive and pleasant, our server kept excellent track of what everybody was ordering (our party arrived at different times and some had dinner and others didn't). The drinks were well made and worth the price. Will certainly go back.

Didn't think the foam on this beer was real... it never changed.

Hey, I like this place! These owners have created a great venue that is a cross between a clean city dive, a supper club and a sports bar. It had all my favorite elements I look for in finding a new relaxing establishment for food, drink, tunes, sports on the tv and some friendly staff and patrons. Bartender Scott was behind the bar tonight by himself and he was working his tail off! My husband and I enjoyed a couple of drinks that were very reasonably priced. An IPA for $5.25 each and a Tuesday night margarita special for $3.50. We enjoyed the dry rub wings $10.50 with a large bowl of blue cheese dressing and the reaper burger that was spicy "hot"!... but pretty darn good. Most items don't typically come with a side ( which is just fine) so we did order the Parmesan crusted Mac and cheese and it really was good- not sure I really have ever order Mac and cheese at a restaurant without being with children. We finished our dinner and walked outside to the patio deck- what a nice spot with beautiful flowers where we could see several groups playing bocce ball and also getting bar service. How cool is that? We would love to return this summer with some friends and or family on a lazy weekend afternoon and soak up some sun and fun. Oh.. by the way. They have hard boiled eggs on the bar. Just crack and enjoy.

Perfect for a date night, friend catch-up, or solo Whiskey adventure, Volstead House is a vibe! Pair the atmosphere with top notch, educated bartenders and mixologists...you know you'll be taken care of! We started with the A La Louisiane, a spirit-forward, whiskey cocktail with some funk from Peychauds and Absinthe. It was delicious and well balanced. We also shared the Glazed Carrots and the Parm Fries. The carrots didn't hit for me, as the glaze and sauce lacked a punch of flavor but the fries were crispy and delicious. If you have a spirit enthusiast or someone that likes to explore the world of cocktails, I think this is the perfect vibe!

First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.

Watermelon salad with grilled chicken was delicious as was the mad cow burger (3/4 lb!). The chicken sandwich on Texas toast was good but after eating half we realized it was still pink in the middle. Server (Amanda) was wonderful but overall we were disappointed that half of our food missed the mark. One last note - bartender was constantly adjusting her hair (she must have been hot), and then resumed making drinks (grabbing lime wedges etc, eek!). They should probably wear their hair back to keep their hands clean? Total bill came to $80ish.

She said the parties near the stage were tabbing out if I wanted to sit there? I said I would take a seat @ the end until they were through. Shortly after I sat down the very friendly brunette server brought me a glass of ice water... thanks! She remained attentive all night, filling my water three times. Named for the state's status as the 32nd to join the Union, the establishment is built around a "Beer Wall"--a self-pour monument to local brewing that promises the drinker ultimate autonomy. It is a large, inviting space, designed for the expansive social ritual of a modern taproom.  The culinary offerings here are a pleasant surprise, rising significantly above the standard "hole-in-the-wall" bar fare. The menu feels intentional rather than an afterthought, providing a solid foundation for the liquid education happening at the taps. One cannot fault the quality of the sustenance or the hospitality of the staff, who remain remarkably friendly despite a recurring operational shadow: the house always seems to be exactly one person short. Each shift carries the palpable energy of a team perpetually running a man down, a testament to their grit but a strain on the overall rhythm of the room. However, the centerpiece of the experience--the self-serve technology--is where the friction lies. While the concept of filling one's own glass is liberating, the digital interface lacks a certain clairvoyance. There is nothing quite so deflating as committing to a pour only to have the keg go "bust" mid-stream, or finding that the tap you've selected is already dry. The system requires a more robust marriage of software and cellar management; the guest should not have to be the one to discover a vacancy in the line. "A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure." -- Czech Proverb Union 32 is a noble experiment in craft beer culture, providing a vast playground for the adventurous palate. But until the technology catches up with the inventory, and the roster is filled by that one missing player, it remains a work in progress--even if the beer itself is already a finished masterpiece. The restaurant has a bar-and-grill atmosphere, which makes sense given the brewery focus. It felt lively but still comfortable for a holiday dinner, and the menu offered several appealing choices both for the special and on the regular menu. We started with shrimp, which was cooked properly and had a good texture--firm and enjoyable without any rubbery or off-putting qualities. The French onion soup was a comforting course and fit the meal well. For the main, I ordered the burger, which was solid and satisfying. While not flashy, it was well prepared and enjoyable. A standout side was the sweet potato fries, which were exceptionally crisp with just the right amount of salt--easily some of the best I've had in a while. The dessert rounded out the meal nicely and completed the four-course experience. Nothing during the meal disappointed me; everything we had was good and well executed. Service was pleasant and professional. Our server was friendly and attentive, though the kitchen timing was a bit slow. We did notice that a few tables seated after us received their food sooner, but it wasn't enough to detract significantly from the overall experience. At $69 for a four-course Valentine's Day meal, the special felt like a good deal, offering variety and solid quality without feeling overpriced.
