I'm so glad this restaurant is back open for regular hours. Congrats on being in a better place to be able to do that after these awful few months. Service here was above and beyond. Mi Pueblo has become my go to Mexican restaurant!! I have eaten in several times, but I love to get take out from here. The service is kind, the wait is short, and the portions are always big enough for some extra to take home or share with a friend if you are looking for a light meal. Their queso is more flavorful than other local Mexican places and they always put chips and salsa in the to go orders! I have yet to come with a larger group, but have noticed seating for large parties and they also have a patio for nice summer nights. read more

Just left very disappointed. Confirmed they could accommodate dietary need (gluten free). Instead of letting me know they could not - brought my husband's meal out AND THEN told me they couldn't. So choice was to sit and no food but watch my husband eat, leave and cancel complete order and go someplace else or request his to go. I regretfully requested it to go. I had the Taco Salad with ground beef and it was the perfect size. The ground beef was nicely seasoned but overall the salad needed some crunch. I like the Salsa Rojo on it and the avocado was nice and ripe. My critique is that it's all just soft, mushy texture. Some fresh peppers would have been nice. I crumbled some of the yummy tortilla chips on it and ate every bite. Again, the Queso is nice and thick and has a little bit of heat; it could use a little more. read more

I value cleanliness, but not when it comes with an overpowering disinfectant smell that gives me a headache. During a family lunch, the staff were mopping the floors with a very strong disinfectant while several tables were still occupied. This appeared to be routine cleaning rather than an emergency spill. Food and service were ok. Guacamole tasted bland. I question if made in house. read more

My wife and I were out for our weekly new restaurant Saturday lunch and we decided on Mi Pueble. What a hidden gem, stuck in a strip mall in an old bank site I believe. We entered the establishment and it reminded us of a Mexican restaurant in Mexico, it just needed the horizontal space air conditioner attached to the wall. Our server approached us and asked what I wanted to drink, as he had a handful of a basket of chips and a jar of salsa. Nice touch. I ordered a big Pacifico, reminiscent of Mazatlan. I ordered the fish platter with fish, shrimp scallops, the whole shebang. I think it is called the seafood alambres, It was delicious and came with a perfect guacamole salad with rice and bans and some tortillas. Everything was cooked perfectly, maybe a little "Minnesota" spicy, since there was hardly any spiciness to anything. It would be nice if you could order heat level. I ordered a Large Pacifico. My wife got the shredded chicken and shredded beef tacos. They were wonderful as well and my wife made homemade tacos for me with all the fixings. We had a big box of leftovers to bring home. We placed an order @3:55 and at 6:16 still have not received the order. When we called they laid down the receiver after 7 minutes of dead air we hung up. We then called door dash with no accountability. Finally a door dasher @ the restaurant called. The restaurant claims the order was picked up and delivered (no photo of the delivery) and the restaurant refuses to remake the order. We have canceled and will no longer order from here. The past orders from this restaurant always arrived cold. read more

What a cute restaurant in a little Eden Prairie strip mall! It is bigger than you may think because it takes up about three storefronts and has a lot of comfy booths and tables with different sized seating options. Our server was fantastic, he was attentive and prompt, also pretty funny - great service! We app enjoyed our food, too! The menu has a large number of choices and it was hard to pick! I went with my favorite Mexican food - enchiladas with molé sauce and these did NOT disappoint! A large serving that I could not finish! I tried here for the first time and it was good. Some of the best I've had since living here. I got the strawberry daiquiri, it was chunky from the ice. Definitely needed more blending. Also, did not have much strawberry flavor but also not much liquor in it. The chips & salsa is good and has good flavor. The cheese dip is good too and I would order it again! I ordered the chicken fajitas, it's a good amount of chicken but not much flavor. The tortillas tasted fresh. I would go back. The server was very attentive and checked in frequently. A local Mexican food joint that isn't flashy, but always hits the spot. The interior can be a bit confusing with tables in a variety of rooms, but a fun environment. They've been struggling to staff enough recently but the staff they do have go above and beyond. We had Alan yesterday, and he legitimately RAN to get us things when we asked. We weren't even in a rush :) so friendly, and have a genuine care for their customers. Drinks are tasty, albeit not super alcohol-forward like some Mexican spots. The blended strawberry margarita was pretty sweet and I missed the kick of tequila. Menu is pretty standard, but has a few fun items! I had the Rancheros Enchiladas and was really pleased with the portion. Tasted good and I appreciated the sides (not a bean fan and it didn't come with beans). Prices are really reasonable for this area as well! A great spot to get Mexican food if you're in the area and looking for an inexpensive dinner that tastes great! read more

Our waiter--let's call him Sir Vanish-a-Lot--ghosted us for a solid ten minutes, leaving us adrift in a sea of hunger. When Home Skillet finally graced us with his presence, one might have assumed our ordeal was over. Alas, fate had darker plans. This man--a culinary anarchist, a maestro of incompetence--managed to botch three out of five orders. That is a 40% success rate, which, while perhaps impressive in baseball, is absolutely catastrophic in the realm of food service. But friends, it gets worse. My loving and trusting 9-year old daughter ordered kids burrito. A simple request, one might think. But no. What emerged from the kitchen was, in fact, an enchilada. Now, we are Midwesterners, not fools. We know a burrito when we see one, and this, my friends, was not it. We even produced the sacred text (the menu), pointing to the very image of what she had requested. Did this inspire reflection? A moment of humility? No. Home Skillet doubled down. The man argued with my wife about what was, undeniably, in front of us. Sir, we have eyes. We are not confused. We are not delusional. That tortilla-wrapped imposter was not a burrito. And because we are Midwesterners, we let it go. But deep in our souls, we knew--we had been wronged. The tragedy continued. My wife's meal? Also incorrect. My burrito? Wrong AND disappointing. A burrito, by its very nature, should be a warm embrace of flavor, a fusion of satisfaction and joy. Instead, I was handed a lifeless husk of regret. And then, the final betrayal. My poor child, full of innocent trust, looked up at me, expecting a burrito, because that is what she ordered. Instead, she received an enchilada. And because I am her father, her protector, her provider of meals, she looked to me for justice. But there was none. I had failed her. I sat there, in the dim glow of bad service and mediocre salsa, staring at the imposter meal before us, and I realized something: this was more than just a dining disaster. This was a moment that would define us. In the end, what we experienced was not just a bad meal--it was an existential crisis. The aforementioned fajitas was under seasoned and as stated, missing the tortillas. The pastor tacos had no aciote or pineapple. The mild salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. Love love love Mi Pueblo! My family & I spend wayyyy too much money here. The food is delicious here - I usually get the Enchiladas Gringas or Monster Burrito. Sometimes, that can last me for another meal, but most of the time I finish it right there. The chips & salsa are good before the actual meal, sometimes you can tell they aren't fresh though. The service is great! They are eager to get us seated & take our order. The food usually comes out pretty fast, too. The ambiance is nice. I'd say it's pretty well laid out. The prices can add up, depending on what you get. A meal averages about $15, so my fiancé & I usually spend about $30-$35 every time we go. It's good every once in a while, but it definitely adds up. Mi Pueblo is the best. They are so nice, and waitstaff is always patient and goofy with my toddler- who I have been bringing here since he was born. Margs are great. Every single entree is delicious. Favorites: shrimp soup, Mi General quesadilla, Chile verde (pork), carnitas, chipotle shrimp. That's a long list of favorites, which proves my point that every entree is good. My only complaint is the booths, not much room to slide in and out and somehow always sticky. And the guacamole is nothing to write home about. BUT the food and wait staff are 10/10. YUM! My husband, son and I were in the area for a meeting and stopped in from an internet suggestion. So glad we did! My son's steak quesedilla looked more like a burrito, it was stuffed full of ingredients. My husband couldn't decide which of the chimichangas on his platter tasted the best (chicken, steak or shrimp.) I had the steak fajitas. SO good. I'd never had fajitas with zucchini and mushrooms. The char they achieved on the vegetables and steak was awesome! All three of us agreed the rice was great, and my husband couldn't stop raving about the guac. We went early on a Friday night and I ordered the h orchata and the enchiladas. My fiancé got the margarita and the chimichanga. The food tasted great! Everything was what we expected. BUT I have to say my favorite part of the night was definitely seeing the MASSIVE horchata and margarita come in! This big boi horchata was perfectly sweet and spiced and so gigantic that I couldn't come close to finishing! My fiancé was happy with his margarita and finished using sheer determination. I've never seen drinks so big and it was everything I dreamed of! Our server was funny and sweet and the restaurant was beautiful! I loved every part of dining here. I had a combo meal - cheese and onion enchiladas with a ground beef taco and beans and rice. Off the bat, the meat in the taco was delicious but the shell was like a box of Old El Paso shells. Not that big a deal. The rice and beans were fine. The cheese enchiladas were okay but the onions weren't cooked. I've eaten a LOT of cheese enchiladas with onions and the onions have been cooked. How many? Likely hundreds because I grew up in New Mexico and Arizona and married a tan Spanish speaking dude so I've cooked a lot of enchiladas for us. One thing I have never had, in either homemade or from a restaurant, is a wire twisty in them. Thank goodness the wire jabbed the roof of my mouth before I started chewing it. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the rest of the experience. The salsa and sauce on my enchiladas were very bland and had 0% spice. The rice, too, was pretty flavorless.
