This place is consistently mid and every time I've given them a chance they've let me down pretty substantially. There's a plethora of spots just like this one that share the Mexican Frutería niche but will attend you better and with less of a hassle. The prices are expensive and the service is mediocre. I've consistently waited awkwardly in line for minutes on end despite the fact that there is 3 employees in the back doing a whole lot of nothing and their penny pinching has just bugged me out because they still have the nerve to overcharge items and upcharge card processing fees all while screwing the consumer. Their business model isn't good and I try not to judge on first impressions but they've let me down on multiple different ocassions. This time, we went for some tostilocos after we had a sudden craving for them after eating at Tacos el Güero next door (Check their adobada 99¢ tacos!!) and were let down by their lackluster flavor as well as the lacking chacachacas. We paid 8 dollars, 160 god forsaken pesos for some wack tostilocos that weren't worth the time or money we spent on them. Not only that, but I went back to ask if they had chacachacas and the girl had the audacity to say they did but if I wanted some she'd have to charge me extra. Stingy ahhh ho keep your chacachacas, matter fact keep everything cause I'm never back to this place again. The food isn't particularly bad but the vibes and energy is off. I wish I could like this place but the employees and the policies just suck and it's the kind of small business that you really can't support. It's not being ran properly and the business model just isn't up to par with other nearby options that execute it significantly better so goodbye Mango Manila, it's been a displeasure. Wait. I'm highly confused. This place is horrrrrrible. I came here with my cousin because we really wanted to try their diablitos. I was first in line and ordered a piña diablito, and my cousin ordered a Sandia one. There was a family that was in line after us, too. So my cousin got herrrr diablito first (no biggy). But then the family that ordered after us got their order before me! (WTF?!) So even about three minutes after that...the woman who rang me up said, "sorry, were out of pineapple!" I was LOOKING at a case full of pineapples! If they were even out of the juice or whatever necessary to make it, why'd it take so long?! Anyways, I then opted for the sandia diablito..and that took another 5 minutes. It was honestly pretty bland. They take forever to make their food, the fruit taste very plain and not fresh. For the price point and what their offering it isn't worth it. We stayed at a hotel really close to this place and would go frequently. Every time the owner greeted us with a smile and was always so kind to my little girl. I originally had nothing but compliments for this establishment, however that has recently changed. I ordered a smoothie over the phone and the lady had severe attitude. I was surprised as everyone is usually nice at this Fruteria. I decided to let it slide as it was the first time this had happened. When I showed up to pick up my smoothie the girl that handed it to me made a face with attitude yet again and I asked her if she was the one that took my order. She said yes & I let her know that thanks to her I won't be coming back. She tried to apologize but it was too late as there was no reason for her to be rude and condescending to me in the first place. I would usually be at this store 3 times a week, not anymore.
