Looking a for a good Mexican restaurant around Coral Springs that was authentic, and I find this little be hidden gem . The restaurant it's a small place with a a few seats so make sure you come with time. Service was great, staff is super friendly and have great recommendations. The guacamole was delicious so fresh and the chips were crispy. The enchiladas are delicious with two sides , just find out about the sauces incase you can tolerate spicy food.

Went for an early lunch so I'm trying to give a little grace for the stale taco shell (was it leftover from the night before?), but the food was otherwise delicious. Service could have been better, especially with an empty restaurant, and the music was very loud, but this will always be a favorite when it comes to local Mexican spots!

I came here on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy! I ordered to go because I felt like eating at home with my family. I ordered the lechon asado and the chicken quesadilla. I ordered at the bar, and waited at the bar. The staff was very nice, greeted me right away and got my order in. I was surprised of how fast the food was made! As I got home I opened my food and it all looked and smelled great! The lechon was my favorite because that's my go to dish, it also came with black beans which I did not get a picture of. The food was great, good prices, and fast service! One thing I wish el mariachi offered was complimentary chips and salsa to go as they serve it in the restaurant. Overall, great experience, and I can't wait till next time!

El Mariachi Restaurant is a family owned and operated restaurant that began in Coral Springs in 1993 serving Mexican and Spanish food. They were so popular that they expanded to this second location in Coral Springs on Wiles. I previously enjoyed dinner at their restaurant located in the Coral Palm Plaza on University Drive. My girlfriend and I met up for a mid week dinner at El Mariachi. I had previously spotted it tucked into the corner during one of many shopping trips to the plaza and I always wanted to try it. This location is smaller than the first one but I think it just makes it cozier. They have booths and tables running down the center and a few more tables out front. There is a small bar area in the rear of the restaurant. I really like the painted murals on the wall. Our server and bartender was Otto. We started out meal with the yummy complimentary chips and mild and hot salsa. Fortunately we made it in time for the happy hour $5 house margarita. Have Otto make your margarita and you will not be disappointed. Best $5 margarita I ever had. For dinner I ordered the beef chimichanga. They serve them here with rice, beans, sour cream, and guac. After filling up on chips it was more than I could finish. My friend and I both really enjoyed everything at El Mariachi. If you love Mexican food as much as we do, you won't want to pass up this local gem.

Welp gang.... Nothing too much to say here whether it be bad or great because it was neither. This was a very just ok dinner. Quesadilla was halfway ok, the salsa was kind of watery. My wife enjoyed her chicken so that was good. Service was inconsistent but not bad. Ahhh but the fries... those were great! But I don't come to Mexican spots mainly for fries. Overall C grade.

Queeso - Mariachi cheese dip - tasted fresh made to order, and a nice chile tang!

El mariachi has been THE Mexican spot of Coral Springs since the city was built. Typically, I'd go to La Union or Naked Taco, but since my family was looking to stay local, we decided to go here for tonight. Going in, there wasn't a huge wait, and my family was seated right away. We ordered 1 queso dip, and 2 fajitas - (1) chicken + shrimp & (1) chicken & steak. Going right into my review, the food was impeccable tonight! For starters, the queso dip had tasted fresh made to order, and a nice chile tang. The fajitas, to no surprise, were the star of the show. All of the proteins were tender, and well spiced. All the condiments tasted fresh, and even the tortillas were nice and soft + thin. I'd recommend adding the spicy green jalapeño salsa on top for extra flavor if you're bold like me! Moreover, service was very fast, and friendly. Overall, if you looking for a great fajita tonight, check out your El Mariachi location on University Coral Springs!

**Vegetarian Friendly** Great little spot in Coral Springs, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We came because their refried and black beans are vegetarian - unsure about the rice. Our Order: - Complimentary: Chips and Salsa (unlimited) - Entrees: Vegetarian Chimichanga, Vegetarian Mexican Pizza, Bean and Cheese Enchiladas All of the food was good - probably the only place that makes vegetarian chimichangas (beans and fajita vegetables!). If you order the Mexican Pizza, be sure to ask for the sauce on the side, that way you pizza stays crispy...otherwise it will be INCREDIBLY soggy, and not taste good. We will be back. PS: They take reservations if you call them.

I LOVE El Mariachi so much! We come here all the time because the food and staff is amazing! I love that they have so much outdoor seating now as well. They have two locations, but this is the one we frequent most. I usually get different entrees each time I come. This past visit I got the gringos tacos, with ground beef. The tacos are the perfect combination of flavor. The toppings are stuffed in there, so you're sure to get them all with each bite. I also love that the tacos come with a side of rice and beans. So good! My mom got the taco salad this time around. She was in the mood to switch it up, and she was so glad she did! The tortilla bowl that the salad was served in was perfectly crisp, and the salad came with all the right toppings. She loved it! Don't forget to try out their cheese dip to start! The cheese is melted and the perfect dipping for the complimentary chips they give! Their salsa is also amazing and just the right amount of spice. I am drooling just thinking about this stuff now! They have great margaritas and fajitas as well! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Fun fact: My mom was friends with the guy who opened the very first El Mariachi back in the day. We were hungry & didn't feel like cooking or going anywhere so we ordered delivery. I got guacamole appetizer & it was really good (and they give you a lot of it). I also got the fried fish tacos which were good. He got a burrito & he liked it. El Mariachi has solid, really good Mexican food. I will order from them again for sure.

Chips and Salsa with Happy Hour Margarita

We decided to try here for 'Taco Tuesday' aka Mamma didn't want to cook! I ordered the Steak Fajitas, my partner had the Chimichanga and my son the Chicken Tenders from kids menu. We arrived with 9 minutes left of Happy Hour so I ordered 2 Margaritas for myself! They also brought out chips with salsa, a salsa bowl for each person at the table, and a very spicy salsa. Salsa was very basic so I mixed some of the spicy into my regular salsa. Food was very good; I'm kinda a fajitas snob. I'm happy they gave 4 tortillas not 3; 3 is never enough! My partner enjoyed his Chimichanga but thought it came with sauce and cheese on top. After looking up menu, realised that was for an extra $2 which he hadn't ordered. All in all a nice meal; we'll be back.

Don Lucho's is probably the closest you will get to a Bronx or Spanish Harlem-style bodega sandwich…read moreshop in West Broward. It's in Coral Springs and has been open for at least two years, and I feel stupid not having gone there this long. It's inside a Grab-N-Go convenience store, and while there is some bench seating, it's a takeout-oriented business. The menu is a mix of Cuban, Peruvian, and Bodega-style breakfast and lunch sandwiches, empanadas, tamales, and ceviche (which I have not tried yet). I got two sandwiches: #1 The Chopped Cheese, which is NOT listed on the printed menu, is posted, and I suspect it is a fairly recent addition. This is not a particularly gourmet or foodie sandwich, as it was created in Harlem or the Bronx (nobody knows exactly; multiple people and bodegas claim origination). It is as blue-collar as it gets, with Latino, Yemeni, or Pakistani origins. But it has been the subject of much Youtuber, Instagrammer, and Tiktok fanfare in the last year or two. Essentially, it is ground beef (a burger) that has been chopped up on the grill using a large spatula and seasoned with an MSG-heavy Badia/Goya sazon or halal meat spice blend with melted American cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a hard roll. They're using a soft hoagie roll here, but it is excellent. In NYC, you can expect to spend $7 or less for a basic one; here, it's $10.55. It's good if you have that sort of craving. #2 The Butifarra. This is a Peruvian sandwich made with roast pork (sliced uncured ham), thinly sliced red onion, lettuce, and a lime dressing with oregano. It's really good. I also tried their in-house empanadas with ground beef and garlic shrimp. Both are good. The french fries are also really good; they are of the skin-on type, so it's definitely a better product than what most fast food places buy. Order them well done, (Buen Hecho) There are no tostones to be found here, though. They have a Cuban sandwich and a few other things that would go well with those. The place offers several different in-house dipping sauces; I got a spicy green one and a habanero one. When I took photos and video, the staff freaked out, "NO SE PUEDE GRABAR!" so I only got about 30 seconds of the chopped cheese being made. The bodega has typical convenience store stuff, but it also sells a brand of chips made in Miami called "Rap Snacks," which looks interesting.

The food also came out really quickly, so I truly don't think the issue was the kitchen or how busy the restaurant was. The food was incredible -- truly the highlight of the entire experience. Everything I ordered was packed with flavor, and the margarita was incredible as well. The ambiance was also great and made for a really enjoyable atmosphere. I would've loved to finish with some flan, but my server never came back. I ended up having to ask another server for extra onions and even had to ask them for my check. It was disappointing because the food was so amazing and the experience had the potential to be perfect. I also can't really speak on whether it's "authentic" Cuban food or not, and I'm not sure why that's the main thing people focus on -- what I can say is that the food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, and I'd definitely come back hoping for a more attentive service experience next time.
