    Carne Asada Bocado Bowl
    Paul J.

My first visit to Los Bocados will certainly not be my last! The Carne Asada Bocada Bowl was well portioned and had a great flavoring. It came with plenty of different sauces that all had great flavors--the steak had a nice char to it and the avocados added a nice creaminess to the bowl. Don't sleep on the house-made hot sauce, which had a great spice level and plenty of its own flavor too. Every meal came with chips and salsa included, which is a nice touch when others would charge extra.

Tonight I decided to try Los Bocados in Parkland. I had heard good things about this place in the past and I was in the area and hungry so why not . I ordered online a mahi taco , chips and salsa and rice and beans . They gave many options when ordering online to customize your taco. I had added the avocado cream, beans , cilantro , lettuce and cheese to my taco. The taco was delicious and two would have been a good amount for me. The tacos are on the smaller side the single mahi taco was $5.89 The salsa that came with the chips was fresh and tasty / the only issue for me was the chips seemed like a small amount - maybe I was expecting there to be more - when I checked the order of chips and salsa was $1.55 so now the Amount seems fair. I enjoyed the rice and beans- was pinto beans and the side was 3.11 . I only waited a few minutes for my order . Definitely a place to try for great tacos !

My fiancé and I stumbled upon the hidden gem that is Los Bocados on Sunday for lunch and their food left me speechless. The service was quick and friendly, it also looked like the owner was behind the counter doing some food prep which was great to see. We were lucky because when we arrived we were able to secure an inside table. I say this because there's only a small handful of seating options inside and maybe 2-3 tables available outside. We ordered six tacos, bbq tostadas and two drinks with tip it was all around $60. The food was flavorful and delicious! We will DEFINITELY be returning. My fiancé felt the bbq tostadas could've had more spice and to be fair they come with pickled jalapeños but I asked for them to be taken off so next time we'll ask for them to be left on one half.

We've ordered from Los Bocados before when the were in the gas station, and to be honest, the food was better there. Most of the food we received was ice cold with the exception of the fish tacos as they had to be fried. The fish tacos were the best part of the meal, but they were just pretty good and not amazing. The bbq brisket tostadas, the carne asada taco, and the elote were all cold, and we sat in the restaurant. We would have sent it back but we had to catch a comedy show and we didn't know if we would make it in time. The service was good and the ambiance was fine.

Literally the best tacos around! I have been coming here since they were inside of a gas station next door, and they never disappoint! Now, with a big location, tables and counters to sit and enjoy the delicious food, the music is always blasting and I feel like I'm in México every time! The staff is super nice and welcoming and friendly. The food comes out quickly and it's always super fresh. You can tell everything is made with love. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm craving their mushroom tacos everyday, so they'll definitely see more of me for the next few months!

Absolutely delicious! I've been eating food from here for over 5 years because my job offers food for us regularly. Today was my first time at the actual restaurant. My usual is the burrito bowl with chicken. I also love the burritos. Next time I'll try to steak tacos or quesadilla. Everything you order comes with yummy chips and salsa. I'm sure I'll love those, too. Anthony, one of the owners took my order with a big smile and was really friendly. Free parking. Prices are a pile higher than I expected but on par with current prices everywhere so not a big surprise. There are 2 tables and counter seating as well as a few tables outside. Just go, I'm certain you'll enjoy it!

The place is very clean and nice. We stopped by on a Sunday, so it wasn't a busy. The service is pretty fast considering you order at the counter. We had carnitas and the chicken tacos...not amazed by them. I feel the tacos are pretty decently sized and yes they're tasty, but they're far from epic. If anything they're a bit forgettable. I was really excited to try these but they're more like your basic American taco more than authentic flavors.

Wow, that was REALLY interesting! Ashamed to say that I haven't had truly authentic flavors like that in a long, long, long time!!! The food is, literally, amazing. Perfect. No grease, no piles of cheese masking actual flavor, just clean earthy homemade grain flavors in the wraps and spices to warp the mind in the middle. Borracho Burrito, Hongalitas and Hongos Quesadilla... aMAZing! Even the corn chips brought me to the beach in Baja. Small joint, just two tables, more of a take out place. Not cheap, but very much worth the price. Plenty of clearly marked choices for veg heads, too! There is a "online service fee" of $2.15 for making an online order on their own website; it is not an exorbitant amount, obviously, but I'm not a fan of bs "fees" for food.

Very good food and a hidden gem! The bow was a little bit too saucy, but the flavors were still amazing. Everyone is so nice and the restaurant gives off very chill vibes.

Upon arrival the staff greeted us and was friendly. Our food was prepared quickly. We decided to take our food to go but there is an area to eat in should you decide. Most people appeared to have called in orders. Everything we selected was very flavorful! The food had great portions for the price. This a no frills place for tacos and burritos that won't disappoint.

They were quick and I enjoyed my lunch catching up with my girlfriend.

Toreros Mexican Restaurant -- Nachos Toreros with Steak -- "The Confident Nacho"…read more I only review nachos. Not the tacos, not the margaritas, not the room. One plate, one standard, every time. A few people had been telling me Toreros was worth a visit, not for the nachos specifically, just that the food was good. That's enough. I follow nacho intelligence wherever it leads. Toreros calls these "award-winning" right there on the menu. Bold claim. Bold claims require bold nachos. The bartender recommended the steak without hesitation, and I took the advice. Some bartenders know things, and this one most certainly did. Let's start with what's right, because there's a lot. The steak is genuinely excellent: well seasoned, properly cooked, the kind of protein that makes you grateful you listened. The cheese came out melted edge to edge, fully pulling between chips the way it should. The portion is honest, no Ghost Nacho energy here, no sad handful of chips placed carefully around a big plate. The chips have real structure. And the plate arrived nuclear hot, as required by Florida Mexican restaurant law, with no warning given (none ever is). For a while, Toreros looked like it might actually justify the word "award-winning." Then we reached the center. The center mass was tighter than a neutron star. Shredded cheddar and refried beans had fused the chips into a single immovable continent, packed so densely that escape velocity wasn't achievable without a fork. The Fork Rule was invoked -- not willingly, it almost never is. Here's the thing about nachos: the chip is not a vehicle, the chip IS the experience. It's supposed to do the work of the fork. When you need utensils to free your nachos from their own plate, something has gone wrong, and it went wrong in the kitchen. The edges held beautifully. The center collapsed under its own gravity. The root cause is shredded cheese, and it's not just a Toreros problem, it's a South Florida epidemic. Shredded cheese melts unevenly and then resolidifies into glue as it cools, welding everything to the plate. There's a reason someone invented a product called nacho cheese: it flows, it coats every chip edge to center, and it never seizes up. And here's the part that got me... Toreros sells *Cheese Dip* four inches down the very same menu! They own the solution. They just don't apply it to the nachos. One more thing worth flagging, and it's telling: read the menu description. It lists refried beans (sorry, they dont belong on nachos), cheddar, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, tomatoes, and green onions. No chips. The single most important component of the entire dish, the thing that IS the nacho, doesn't even make the ingredient list. It's assumed. That tells you exactly where the chip ranks in the hierarchy here, and the fused center confirms it. On value: $13 base, $19 with steak. That's on the high end for nachos, and the Fork Rule doesn't offer discounts for ambition. As a family plate it's a tough sell. I finished it solo and wasn't hungry after, so call it one meal or a starter for two, and the fused center makes it a poor sharer regardless. But I'm not here just to swing. Toreros gets more right than most places in this series. The steak is fantastic, the flavor is there, the portion is honest, the edges held, and the treasure at the center was real; you just shouldn't have to excavate for it. I'm not sure I'd call these award-winning. But I'd call them good nachos, and I'd go back. 7.5/10 -- The Confident Nacho. It showed up, it knew what it was, and it delivered right up until the center caved under its own gravitational pull. Fix the cheese -- you already sell the fix -- and this is a 9. -- Florida Nacho Man.

Also, while soft drinks are included with the all-you-can-eat option, alcoholic beverages are not. We ordered a variety of tacos, and every one of them was fresh and delicious. The all-you-can-eat menu also includes unlimited chips and salsa, along with churros for dessert. The only surprise came when we ordered churros. We were initially served two, but when we requested more, we were told that the all-you-can-eat menu only includes one serving of churros. Since this limitation was not indicated on the menu, it caught us off guard. The horchata was a standout, creamy and perfectly balanced, while the tamarind drink offered a refreshing tang. YOU MUST GET THE HORCHATA! One of the best I have tried. Our taco selection included cochinitas, carnitas, asada, al pastor, and tinga de pollo. Each taco was a burst of traditional Mexican flavors, generously filled with juicy, well-seasoned meat and served in small, handheld tortillas - a true taste of Mexico. My favorite was the cochinitas! While opinions varied on the asada's saltiness, the overall consensus was overwhelmingly positive.
