I only review nachos. Tonight I reviewed one that doesn't exist yet. Los Bocados in Parkland doesn't have nachos on the menu. My friend Super Steve asked anyway. The chef said yes, made them from scratch, and wouldn't take a dime. What arrived was outstanding. House BBQ brisket, stripped perfectly for a nacho chip, which almost *nobody gets right*. Fresh queso that actually delivered. Avocado crema drizzled throughout. Cotija crumbled on top. Bell peppers adding color and brightness, and the chips held under the Fork Rule. This was a prototype. Eight chips. Not hot. Stale chips cost them points. The metal tin showed up uninvited as always, and it still scored an 8.5. Two things stand between Los Bocados and the highest nacho score in this series: fresh chips and the right vessel. Everything else is already there. If you want these nachos -- and you do -- walk up and ask nicely. The chef may just make them for you. My first visit to Los Bocados will certainly not be my last! The Carne Asada Bocada Bowl was well portioned and had a great flavoring. It came with plenty of different sauces that all had great flavors--the steak had a nice char to it and the avocados added a nice creaminess to the bowl. Don't sleep on the house-made hot sauce, which had a great spice level and plenty of its own flavor too. Came across this place after reading reviews and sought for a good take out Mexican restaurant. First they have been on DDD which alone peaked my interested. Second majority of the reviews were positive. Seeing reviews of the 3.5-4% charge immediately made sure we had cash on hand. Called in our order and was advised it would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. Tonight I decided to try Los Bocados in Parkland. I had heard good things about this place in the past and I was in the area and hungry so why not . I ordered online a mahi taco , chips and salsa and rice and beans . They gave many options when ordering online to customize your taco. I had added the avocado cream, beans , cilantro , lettuce and cheese to my taco. The taco was delicious and two would have been a good amount for me. The tacos are on the smaller side the single mahi taco was $5.89 The salsa that came with the chips was fresh and tasty / the only issue for me was the chips seemed like a small amount - maybe I was expecting there to be more - when I checked the order of chips and salsa was $1.55 so now the Amount seems fair. I enjoyed the rice and beans- was pinto beans and the side was 3.11 . I only waited a few minutes for my order . Definitely a place to try for great tacos ! read more

My fiancé and I stumbled upon the hidden gem that is Los Bocados on Sunday for lunch and their food left me speechless. The service was quick and friendly, it also looked like the owner was behind the counter doing some food prep which was great to see. We were lucky because when we arrived we were able to secure an inside table. I say this because there's only a small handful of seating options inside and maybe 2-3 tables available outside. We ordered six tacos, bbq tostadas and two drinks with tip it was all around $60. The food was flavorful and delicious! We will DEFINITELY be returning. My fiancé felt the bbq tostadas could've had more spice and to be fair they come with pickled jalapeños but I asked for them to be taken off so next time we'll ask for them to be left on one half. read more

Some things never change, and when it is excellent to begin with, that is noteworthy! Back to Los Bocados for the first time in about 2 years. All I can say is, my bad. Even though I no longer play golf nearby, it is still well worth the drive for me from Delray Beach. Introduced a good friend to Los Bocados for the first time today, and they too were blown away. We've ordered from Los Bocados before when the were in the gas station, and to be honest, the food was better there. Most of the food we received was ice cold with the exception of the fish tacos as they had to be fried. The fish tacos were the best part of the meal, but they were just pretty good and not amazing. The bbq brisket tostadas, the carne asada taco, and the elote were all cold, and we sat in the restaurant. Literally the best tacos around! I have been coming here since they were inside of a gas station next door, and they never disappoint! Now, with a big location, tables and counters to sit and enjoy the delicious food, the music is always blasting and I feel like I'm in México every time! I ordered my burrito over the phone because the mahi burrito was not showing up in their online ordering service. so if you do not see fish in the online ordering system, just give them a phone call. The gentleman at the restaurant told me it's because they don't always have fish available. My food was ready for pick up right at the time I asked for it to be available. The toasted mahi-mahi burrito came with chips which were warm and fresh. The burrito was quite delicious. The fish was well seasoned and not overcooked. My husband said it's the best burrito he ever had & I honestly can't remember anyone with better tacos. I ordered the taco combo & selected the pork , carne assasada & the biria. I had the steak burrito. My wife has the chicken quesadilla. Simple and yet complex. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious. The food portions are huge. It's amazing to think they started out in a gas station and have come so far. The only reason for the loss of one star is because of the 4% transaction fee. I've been here before but the last 2 times I went the food was disappointing. What happened? Before everything was made to order? Now I just see an assembly line of pre-cooked meats being shoved in the tacos so my meal was cold. The elote was super cold too. It felt like it was in the refrigerator or cooler and they simply just added the toppings. Isn't elote suppose to be freshly grilled? At least, it was when Los Bacados was in the original location. The tacos too were not as good as before. Cold and they were not flavorful. My coworker also went after I told him that I was disappointed and he's the one the introduced me to Los Bocados. He also told me that the food has changed. Also, he actually ate there couple of weeks ago and the food was cold. As you all know I dont like writing bad reviews but we have stopped ordering lunch from them because its not the same. I'll give a try again one more time and see what happens. read more

My brother and I have never been here before so I decided to order a few things. The birria tacos, a bbq brisket burrito with a substitution of birria meat and an order of elote (Mexican street corn). The tacos were amazing. I can't even put into words how much I enjoyed them. Stuffed with tender meat, cheese and cilantro and a rich dipping broth. I would literally drive here daily just to eat them. My burrito was fat and tasty, as a good burrito should be. I also loved every bite. The elote, although tasty, I would probably not eat again. This particular restaurant serves it cold and I just have a preference for hot corn. It was delicious and if you like cold corn then I would highly recommend it. I live over an hour away from this restaurant, but I plan on becoming a frequent guest regardless of travel time. I've heard of Los Boscados before and finally decided to give it a try since it's so close to me. I typically don't get burritos but I decided to order their chicken burrito for takeout. It came with a small side of chips and salsa. There was a sign up front by the cash register that stated that they will charge a 4% fee if you pay with card and no fee if you pay with cash.
