    Michelada

I've been wondering about this place. I visited years ago so I figured since it's close by and I was craving taqueria food it was time. We walked in after finding a parking spot. It was crowded but when we walked in there were only a few people inside? Weird, I guess the people were at the laundromat or the barbershop. 1st thing I noticed was a guy with a huge michelada with 2 beers in the glass. I was like WoW! Lol plus it was breakfast-ish time well maybe noon. I ordered a Carne asada and a pork taco. We sat at one of the many available tables but needed to find a clean one. Hmmmm, that took a minute. Ok seated and waiting. And waiting then more waiting. Oh great here come our normal sized micheladas. I know you guys don't know my mother but if she drank alcohol this is the level if spicy she would make it. NOT SPICY OR FLAVORFUL AT ALL. Not tasty not anything. Like a watered down generic ketchup packet with water then some modelo added to a glass with boring shrimp on top. Sorry but this should have been a sign of the flavorless meal to come..eventually. yes still waiting for food while time slowly drags by and I kick myself for picking this place. Finally our food arrives. Maybe we'llget forks one day too. I'm not even excited to try after tempting Faith by eating a few chips and their salsa. Blah. It was barely edible. Sorry it was bland and tasteless. I can definitely cook this dish better at home and I'm not even Hispanic. My boyfriend definitely cooks way better and could show the cook a thing or twenty. It's called spices and salt. How can this place have any customers at all? I guess they want that huge michelada, not pictured here.

If I could I would give this restaurant 0 Zero stars, I am very disappointed in the food and I have been going there for a very long time now. I ordered a combination plate carnitas with rice and beans. The carnitas were burnt and very salty they were horrible I pre-ordered and I brought it home I'm very disappointed and honestly this place has permanently now lost my business I will not be going back ever again. I had ordered it for my spouse as a Valentine's surprise very disappointed we both got sick to our stomach if I wanted a plate for the salt I could have just served me salt seriously..

Burrito was pretty mid but this is what I received as a salad. I get that it's not on the menu but my 8 year old sister can make a better salad ..

Full flavor pork with just enough bark. Double grilled tortillas with zippy salsa and fresh cilantro and onion. Soccer was on the TV in the dining area, so it had to be good! #spicemeister approved!

They used to have larger glasses for the beers. I think it's possible that they use the large beer glasses to lure first time customers into returning, then are notified via a biometric scan or rdif chip that a customer is returning and they give them the smaller beer glasses. The aguachile is always good the relleno is good the cocktail is good. 805 Pacifico bud dos x dark dust bowl and modelo on tap. Foods good wait staff is nice locals are friendly

Did you guys know we've been searching for good chilaquiles? This Mexican breakfast dish (usually with tortillas cut up, fried, with red or green sauce) is a favorite and the standards are high. El Marisquero (a local recommendation) totally delivered! We got red AND green versions, and our group praised both! The enchiladas and chile verde sope also very good. The (huge) micheladas at another table looked amazing - we'll need to try those when we come back!

Delicious food, good place, reasonable priced. Bring cash or pay a 3% service charge.

They have yummy pastries on display but the breakfast menu has tons of savory options. We ordered H Street Block which is a blueberry french toast casserole. It was the perfect size. It looks small, but it was very filling and just enough to get my day started. It's a bit pricey for the size but since that was the portion I wanted, I wasn't too disappointed. One of the workers mentioned they do have kids menu options, but they didn't have the printed kids menus available, so if you don't see them, just ask when you are ordering. The Champions Breakfast platter was a great choice for our kids to share. It was one of the better fruit bowls I've seen, with a variety of fresh berries and oranges. The place is pretty small inside, but we were there on a Thursday morning so it was no issue finding a parking spot or a table to sit. I appreciate how kid friendly they are, even bringing kid size water cups with lids, and there are even some children's books on the shelf in the back. Such a cute little spot, I would have never known about it if I wasn't looking on Yelp for breakfast places in this area.

I ordered a regular coffee which was so fresh and perfect. My food, I ordered the Benny on a Bun, that's the wrong sandwich for a on the go morning. I didn't think to order the hollandaise on the side so my bread was totally soggy. The bacon was extremely salty. I'm not sure what brand it was but it was not good to me. I couldn't pick it up to eat it because I was driving. It was already soggy and wet to begin with, not the restaurants fault but I would say I would not order that for a togo order. It was not easy to eat, very messy and again, I didn't care for the bacon.

We had the country fried steak which was probably the best one I have ever had in my entire life! My sons had chorizo and eggs and the other one had chocolate pancakes, ham and eggs. We also got a Nutella Crepe because my youngest had never had a real crepe before. The food was all amazing. We cleaned every plate between a 47 year old, 13 & 8 year old! We couldn't stop eating!! The place was clean and for such a busy brunch we were sat very quickly! Service was amazing as well! The staff was so accommodating, friendly and professional! They were so hard working turning those tables over and checking on tables all the time. We didn't have to wait for plates to be cleared or refills of Iced Tea!! Like I said I can't believe I haven't been back to this place in such a long time but that is going to change!! I will be back as much as I can! Especially to support a local family owned restaurant!

My husband gets different things on the menu when we go and he enjoys all of them. The only problem I have is it is so loud in there because it is such a small and confined restaurant. And I enjoy the live music being played. It's just such a tight confined little place. And you have to yell to talk to one another therefore everybody else here's your conversation. This is not a good place to go on a date or to get to know somebody over conversation. That's why you have Galletto's or Tresetti's down the street. But if you wanna go and have a quick breakfast, then this is the place. Though wait waitresses are always very, very nice. And the prices are great.

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.
