One of the best spots for $2 Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays, and also a go-to for catering. They never disappoint, and their service is always on point--especially when we order takeout. I love that they include complimentary chips and salsa with every order, and whenever I ask for extra, they're always generous with both. The service was good, but the food was disappointing. I ordered a supreme carnitas burrito to go, specifying no avocado. The rice was bland, and the carnitas were very fatty. They added avocado despite my request, and I have a mild allergy. I had to ask for green sauce, limes, and jalapeños, which should be included, especially since they're available at the counter. They offered chips with two small, flavorless plastic containers of sauce. I also saw one of the employees eating from the tortilla chip bin while preparing my order. I wouldn't recommend eating here; instead, try Frida's Taqueria on Rumble or the bagel spot a few doors down in the same shopping center. read more

I think this is one of the worst breakfast burritos I've ever had. I ordered no rice and I didn't get it supreme so that way it wasn't wet, but the burrito was really soggy on the outside falling apart. Also, what did the bacon there was no bacon in it, and it was full of beans mostly. Everything is under flavored potatoes didn't even seem like they had any kind of seasoning at all. Tuesday and Thursday $1 chicken or al pastor taco's This location is in a busy shopping center, but it is worth it to find parking. The house salsa is very flavorful, and it brings back a bunch of regulars. Get food to go there every couple of weeks. It's always good. A few times they've got the order wrong with soft or crisp taco or refried instead of whole beans. But even mistake is still good. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area and there are lots of Mexican restaurants. read more

Very good. Tucked away in the back corner of a strip mall, you'll find this little Taqueria. The place is usually pretty packed but the food comes out fast. I typically get the 3 asada tacos with rice and beans. They are the small tacos but they are packed with asada. Another favorite is the asada burrito supreme. Came here on a recommendation and will try it again as I am right in the edge of maybe giving them a solid 4 star. The service was definitely a 5, my California burrito with chile verde meat, sauce, and the size was great but the fries were not crispy, mind you in a California burrito they really can't be because it's wet but I think the attempt should be made because you do get some of that crisp if done right, fries where not undercooked so that was a 3.5 overall but will try something else next time. Wife really likes the carne asada has a "cooked at home flavor" and all the salsas we tried are really good. Am a little particular about flys in restaurants and there where a lot by the door, could not see any in the back but maybe they need to get a door fan unit not that expensive and so that is just me, we had it to go so that was not a real bother but if I was there that would really worry and annoy me. Will try their Tuesday and Thursday promotion soon and try tacos and hoping we found a good burrito spot in Modesto. read more

If you want tasteless Mexican food, this is the place to go. I ordered Asada fries, and I can't say one of the ingredients added was good. The meat was tough; every other piece was full of fat or nerve The fries were horrible; they tasted like they were drowned in hot oil and removed before time. The only thing that had taste was the cilantro. Refried beans are not a mix of whole beans and refried beans. Pico De Gallo was horrible The meat is an absolute disgust. DISAPPOINTING. read more

One of the best places to get authentic Mexican food in Modesto! They make all of their salsa from scratch, my favorite is the tomatilla salsa! I actually only came for the salsa bar because it's all about the....SALSA! The service is great, the food was good. However, the carne asada burrito was a little on the greasy, chewy side. I'm not a fan of the carne asada fat that was attached to the meat. Other than that, I will be back to try other items like their tacos and perhaps other meats or seafood. I saw a table next to me order tilapia which I thought was cool that they served it. For under $10 you can get the whole fried tilapia. The Horchata was good, a little powdery on the bottom, maybe with a little more water it would be great. They get busy especially during dinner, so get in early. read more

Came here on a taco Tuesday. The tacos here are amazing, service is fast and value is unbeatable (at least on Tuesdays). Food: These are the most authentic, filled, fresh and delicious pork and beef tacos I've had. They are generous with the portions of meat and they are all marinated immaculately. The onions and cilantro are a good proportion and there's a bit of red sauce but it's not that spicy. The chips are fresh and light. You can tell by their light color compared to other chips. The salsa bar is full of a variety of flavors but they may run low from time to time because they're so busy. I will say that all salsas did taste a bit watered down, but I'm sure they're making it how they like it. Service: We came right before the rush so we were helped immediately. They take credit card, but they check IDs so have that ready. We did have to ask for the chips with our taco order, so make sure you ask for it. It's free! Vibe: We came at a relatively empty time but when leaving we noticed a line out the door, so this place has the opportunity to be packed. It may make it difficult to navigate the salsa bar and bathroom when it is busy. Overall: great food, great value on Taco Tuesday! read more

The food here was mediocre and pretty small portion sizes compares to other places. Also I was very disappointed in their lack of being Covid-19 safe. The cook in the back wasn't wearing a mask nor food preparation gloves also the cashier lady, Annette isnt any better. Annette though was wearing a mask when she took my order she had her mask under her nose when she gave me my order. Also they allowed people inside without a mask and it ridiculous their lack of sanitation. I saw the cashier go to the back and she handled someone's food without washing their hands or at least wearing gloves. In most cases this may not matter but I saw this occur after placing my order which when I paid I used bills and coins which is one of the dirtiest things one can touch. I will never go back here again and honestly if you take covid-19 precautions seriously I suggest you shouldn't either. read more
