Unfortunately, the pork I received was nearly half fat, even though I requested less fat and more meat. The worst was the piece of pork skin, it was soggy, any Puerto Rican or Cuban will tell you this is No Bueno The rice was probably the best part of the meal, even though it was not served very hot. Overall, for the price I paid, I expected better food quality, customer service, and consistency. I called ahead to confirm they had chicharrón de pollo, drove 15 minutes, placed a simple order of chicharrón de pollo with white rice and red beans, and waited another 15 minutes for it. After I got home, they called to tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked me to drive back to fix their mistake. Absolutely not. Sure enough, I opened the bag and got bistec encebollado with white rice and no beans. I put it in the fridge and cooked something else. This isn't the first time they've messed up my order. I've given them the benefit of the doubt more than once, but enough is enough. The quality and service keep getting worse. Maybe it's time to go back to the food truck where it all started -- because whatever they're doing now clearly isn't working.
