DELICIOUS AF! Definitely not a place that I ever knew about. But I was starving when afternoon while I was driving to a destination decided just make a stop. Wow! The best I've ever made, I couldn't believe that this restaurant had such delicious food. I knew it was good just based off the ratings, but definitely sinking my teeth into the meal made it even better. I decided to get a shrimp taco and add the avocado ranch sauce, and it was very filling and super full of flavor and love. I will be back without a shadow of a doubt and when I really want to try, was those eggrolls that are in the pictures. The sandwich was good, but it was not "wow", it was missing the caramelized onions that are in the menu description, and the bread would've been better if it was toasted, but overall it was good. Being Puertorican myself, it was refreshing to come to a restaurant that didn't do the traditional "arroz con gandules and pernil"...menu has more of a lunch feel filled with sandwiches and puertorican staple, "Jibaritos" which is basically a sandwich where toatones (fried green plantains) serve as the "bread". I ordered jalapeño poppers and they were great! Don't have anything to add on how it could be better unless of course it was wrapped in bacon Also ordered the churrasco jibarito and it was delicious. Had some sauces (cilantro and Mayo-ketchup) that really brought everything together. Didn't give the place 5 stars bc they had music videos playing that weren't so family friendly. I tried the rice bowl with chicken, cilantro rice and pinto beans. Beef empanada and taquitos chicken. I forgot to take pic of the burrito. I did delivery and everything was still in great shape when it arrived. The rice bowl was my favorite and had so much flavor with the sweet plantains. The burrito also had the sweet plantains. The empanada was good but probably the least favorite out of the items I ordered. I used the air fryer to reheat the burrito and taquitos and they were great reheated. I liked the cilantro rice better than the yellow...I had the yellow in the burrito. They give you the option to pick which type of rice and beans you want. read more

This place is what we Latins like to call: "Una minita". Even though it's small, (literally, no more than 6 seats inside) it's really tasty. Should you choose to eat inside, be warned; you will smell like steak and all kinds of delicious things for a good 4 hours afterwards. What I like the most is their variety and from what I saw during my visit, the jibarito seems to be an extremely popular item but during my visit I was dying for some chicharron and so I ordered two chicharron tacos which were excellent and priced at $5 for the two; can't get any better then that folks. My friend had the Steak bowl; I was able to try a little bit of it and it's kinda like a chipotle burrito bowl but with more latin flair and I think the platanos maduros gives it a nice touch so you have sweet from the platano, salty from the meat and rice, and tangyness from the lemonjuice of the pico de gallo they put on top. While we were there it was noisy so be prepared for that but for me personally I found it entertaining, especially watching the cook staff interact jokingly with one another and that shows there is good camaraderie amongst them and when that exists, you know that they'll work together to make good food. I liked and appreciated that they ask you if you want some of their homemade hot sauce to which I said; "Yes, bring me two please" very well done overall and you can bet i'll be returning. read more

I really loved my visit here. I had 2 tacos and an empanada. The tacos were well filled with a great cilantro sauce on top. I asked for some hot sauce and they gave me some house made hot sauce. Our orders came out in less than 15 minutes, looked and smelled great. The avocado roll was different, a type of cream cheese and avocado mix so it was a bit heavy. Our rice bowls were really good, fresh grilled chicken, black beans, rice, plantains, tomatoes and onions. I was surprised out how good it was, a lot better than say a tropichop or chipotle bowl in my opinion. I must say the service is absolutely lackluster, and the cashier is very rude. I was calling yesterday about a dispute regarding a very small amount of protein in my sandwich, keep in mind my previous orders also had a very small amount of protein in them and are absolutely overpriced, and I was told I would be notified by the owner. I was not notified by the owner today, in fact I had given them a call. The cashier from the previous night picked up the phone and told me that the owner was not available. She also failed to mention that she had spoken to the owner, furthermore wasting my time and efforts towards a fair purchase, and when I found this out she had an unmasked attitude in her tone of voice. I mentioned to her that this is not the proper way to handle business and that they will lose me as a customer and she states, "Good, I hope I never have to see you again." This is absolutely disrespectful, nasty and rude and I will never eat from here again, nor will I ever recommend anyone to eat here. I will inform people on their very small portions and unfair prices so that no one will waste their time, money or well being from a disrespectful and inexperienced business. I currently requested a refund and she said she will issue it despite what their owner may accept. I will be stopping by to receive my receipt shortly, but believe me, I don't want to be near this place at all. Save your money! read more
