It cost $50, and they also did a basic brake check during the service. The staff mainly speaks Cantonese with some broken English, but communication is enough for routine services. I also asked for a tire rotation, but they said they didn't have time that day. The shop is a no-frills neighborhood mechanic, nothing fancy, but efficient if your car is already in good shape and you need a quick oil change or basic maintenance. They're open on Saturdays, which makes it convenient when I can't come during the week. If you're looking for a fast, budget-friendly oil change, I'd recommend this place. Decided to take it in on a Friday in the morning. Checked my wheels and told me I just needed the front brake pads and rotors replaced. The back was still good. Sigh of relief somewhat. They were able to get the pads and rotors replaced for little under 3 hours. Time went by and they were updating me during the whole time. Great service and team here. They charged me $500 for this work. Originally it was $400 but I asked for the front splitter installed and that was another $100. I just felt like I was taking advantage off. To top it off the mirror caps wasn't installed correctly and I had another mechanic fix it. Anyways I found another mechanic that has been working on my car and wife's car that I fully trust. Not a rip off like this place. I didn't want to write this review but it's been nagging the hell out of me for how much I was charged for. He also suggested I should change my oil filter housing at 48k miles with no signs of coolant/oil leakages. Yes these are known to fail but no issues yet and I'm at 60k miles now. He said $1600 for OFH. My current mechanic can do for $1100 OE parts. My current mechanics has 8 lifts and are always busy, so no not some run of the mill shop that is low quality. When I pulled my car in, they told me to wait on the side. I was a bit confused at first, I thought they had to ask me what I was in for. But then I saw them bring my car into the lift, and when I saw and heard the mechanics, who are like your average Asian uncles, I knew my car was in good hands lol. Not sure if they remembered I was coming in or everyone who comes in just gets full synthetic oil changes, but I confirmed with the uncle and he said "Yes yes I got you the good kind" I realized I also needed a tire rotation so I asked him if they could do it and they said no problem 25 bucks. As soon as my car was lifted, one mechanic worked on the tires and one mechanic worked on the oil change. My car was back on the ground in 10 minutes. I've never had an oil change done this fast. Also, Longo Toyota can go to hell. Quick story: Mom's Lexus battery was replaced by AAA, but something happened and the engine bay started smoking. Took it to her dealership, Longo Toyota, and was told the coolant leaked into the engine (??) something like that. The total repairs would cost $8k. Absolutely insane. Wanted a second opinion and folks on Reddit recommended this auto shop. Had the car towed here and Chao inspected the damages. He replaced something that only took 2 hours and a $125 part, and the car was totally fixed. In total, he charged us $200. Chao knew we weren't knowledgeable about cars yet was super honest with the repair. I now trust him 100% with all of my future car problems.
