It was weird to see the restaurant was almost empty from the moment we got there , No water was Offered or brought to us. After we ordered drinks I had to ask like 4 times for my daughters drink in a lapse of 1 and a half hours. My food arrived without exaggerating 1 hour and 50 minutes later! I was the last one in receiving it , gave two bites ,I lost my appetite and had to ask for it to go. In short Incredible seafood! Just a couple non-seafood dishes. Be ready to learn some food words in Spanish. Read the online menu beforehand if you can, and Google the words you don't know. (I had to, and I had 6 years of Spanish as a kid). The printed menu has in-house items not on the online menu, so bring the Googles with you when you go in. In long This is an old pizza place that already had a decent build inside, so they didn't change much, just painted everything turquoise. It's clean and nice for sure, and *bright*--lots of big windows and skylights. Even a cold, rainy, snow-ish gray day yesterday, it felt airy and welcoming inside thanks to all the bright natural light. Service is not necessarily flying at warp speed, but they take care of you for sure. Try to get a drink and appetizer order in on the first table visit. Oh, and, if you're stoked for margaritas and other cocktails, maybe ask for the drinks menu or poke around in the bar on your way to the table. We had *delicious* margaritas but saw a ton of interesting-looking pours going out that we did not see on the menu. Muchacho Alegre, if you're reading this, send a drinks menu out with the food menus. :-) As you've probably figured out by now, the kitchen here is 98% focused on seafood. First of all, they stock a huge variety of saltwater proteins, but best of all, they know how to season absolutely everything. We got multiple fresh housemade salsas on the table (1 each for the 3 dishes we ordered), plus 4 bottled salsas that were all fantastic and new to us (mostly from Mexico Lindo). Mixto ceviche con pulpo This is ceviche with fish, prawns, and octopus. No ketchup in sight! Bright acidic flavors, perfectly tender bites of seafood, lots of fresh veg. The "regular" seems a little pricey but it's an entrée-sized portion. Gorgeous fresh slices of avocado and tostada shells make this a fun sequence of bites to assemble and play around with spoonfuls of all the different salsas. Shrimp empanadas Great flavors inside and out. Served with a creamy, sweet-ish salsa. Combines well with all the other salsas, too. Langostinos a la Diabla Fresh shellfish, more delicious salsa, and nice red sauce. The sauce didn't show up in the photos online, but it made the dish even better than anticipated. Lots of onion, lots of peppery seasoning, some tomato slices. It has a sweet tomato-y note in the background but you can tune this up with all kinds of salsa if you'd rather have the heat than the sweet. Prices are a little high but for fantastic seafood the value is more than there. This is a huge family-style dining room and they are absolutely knocking it out of the park. I'm pretty sure we got scammed. We ordered a tostada de jaiba (imitation crab), and it both looked and tasted exactly like tuna. We brought it up to our server, and she said the kitchen claimed it was real crab-which made no sense. How is crab supposed to look and taste like tuna? On top of that, trying to get our server's attention was a mission. The staff was mostly hanging out near the entrance or doing karaoke with two male customers at the bar. After asking for my drink order (iced tea) it took her about 10 minutes to come back to the table ( there was only 3 tables including me) she came back with no drink and asked for my order I asked for fish tacos she asked what to drink I said iced tea trying to keep positive. She said they don't have it... Wonder why she didn't tell me that to begin with. I just got water. Took another 5 minutes to get that. Took a normal amount of time to get the tacos. But ... The were over fried. And tasted burned. After I was done I watched her chat with staff for about 20 without checking any of her tables. When you think of Mexican food you think of fast food. If you're coming here I would rethink that. And this whole experience took me an hour and 10 minutes start to finish. And she only had three tables. No one else in the whole entire restaurant. This is a fun place for a night out it has lots of tables, yes tables that you can put together for groups and update 21st century junk box and the usually multiple tvs for viewing sports or movies. This place has many selections of plates and yes I did say platters of shrimps or mussels or other seafood but I can't turn down a whole deep fried fish, to my disappointment after I order the white fish I don't look farther in the menu and saw deep fried Rick fish , what. The fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and came with rice and salad and a choice of flour or corn tortilla. Which of course I got corn they were extremely still hot a surprising moist for corn, next time I'm going to ask about if it was hand made. Ii saw that clay drink on the other table and they called it a cantartio, all I know it has tequila and juice in it , they called it affectionately a Mexican high ball, it suprising how much a person can drink when you can't taste the liquor, and don't be full by it size, I thought it was as a never ending glass by the hearty "sips" I was draining thru the straw. The mussels was a lot I wasn't sure how to eat those crackers that came with it , I'm sure I was doing it wrong and look foolish as usually. Wow! New and amazing restaurant. I read about it online and there were no reviews but apparently they opened less than a week ago. At first glance, the menu is in a lot of Spanish and we had to Google some words. Some things were quite expensive for a single person and I was shown the serving bowl and it probably could be shared. I opted for the Pineapple and it was the best choice. They didn't serve it with tortillas but I asked for some and was quickly provided with them. The owner and all the staff were friendly and courteous continually checking on our needs. Hopefully not because there was not a lot of business yet. They plan to add in a breakfast menu as well. You can't go wrong if you enjoy seafood and Mexican foods. These 5 star reviews have to be completely fake. This place was terrible in every single aspect. Like hilariously terrible. By the end we were just laughing (until the $130 check came). The food was actually inedible. We thought the cooking oil had gone rancid and let the server know. Shrimp was gray and under cooked, other seafood was overcooked and rubbery. Empanadas were doughy and raw. Everyone took two bites and left everything else on the plate. Service was slow and food came out in spurts. It was so loud from the karaoke (which was just one guy singing the entire time we were there) that we couldn't even hear across the table. They even moved the speakers closer to our table after we had asked to not sit directly in front of them. There was also a small dog running around the restaurant which was super weird. read more

This place was disappointing. My boyfriend and I decided last minute to check it out for our Valentine's Day dinner..I was excited to listen to live music, even though I don't speak much Spanish..but it was just some guy walking around to the tables with a microphone, making it super difficult to hear each other at the tables. The lights and tv's made it way too overstimulating. Our server was friendly, but could hardly speak any English..I kept having to ask her to repeat herself. The margarita she brought looked fancy, but tasted way too salty and I could hardly tell there was even tequila in it. I couldn't even finish it..had to give it to my boyfriend. When the food came out, I was expecting high quality, given the high price..but boy was I wrong..it was ALL over cooked. The rice was mushy, shrimp was chewy and the sautéd mushrooms over buttered and chard. I could have made better at my own house.. I would have had them take the food back, but no one came to check on us until we were pretty much finished the food..I just sucked it up and ate it..which I regret, because I ended the night with gas pains and bloating.. Overall, I do NOT recommend this place to anyone..honestly, I think they know they are bad and that's why they had a singer there..to distract everyone. lol read more

Genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had, and very unique for this area! The seafood is top notch, so fresh and tasty, and cooked to perfection! Presentation was also lovely, but of course that's just the cherry on top when the flavors are so good! Even the salsa on the table was spectacular, you can tell it's made fresh in house! Then we got told she left to break and no tell anyone about us so that's why it took forever! Then she kept getting everything wrong! We felt worse for everything we have to ask for but come on!! No napkins, no limes, no drinks, we had our food in different lapses of time, and even at the end she forgot my kids food and we asked for it but still took 20 mins for a kids quesadilla! While this building still resembles the old Alfy's pizza inside and out, it is far from it. The food is authentic and delicious with the main emphasis on Spanish seafood. I've found the BEST FISH TACOS on the planet!!!! My first fish taco was at a little taco stand on the beach in S Calif and I've never forgotten it. It had a beer battered piece of cod in a fresh soft corn tortilla with a cabbage slaw (cabbage, red onions, diced tomatoes, cilantro) on top and a Mayo based dressing over the slaw. That was well over 40 years ago and I've been looking for something like it ever since, with great disappointment. Nothing measures up...most fish tacos seem to be grilled. Until tonight, I tried the fish tacos at this place and couldn't believe how perfect they are. The flavors and textures incredible. My husband and I each got one (1 can easily be split into 2 w the two tortillas you get. And then we split another order. I will be back frequently just for these tacos!!! We also had the shrimp cocktail which was very different than I'm used to, it seemed more like ceviche. The flavors were quite good but i prefer the traditional shrimp cocktail with the thick cocktail sauce. I will probably pass on the shrimp cocktail next time and try something else w the tacos. We split a piece of flan for dessert and it was excellent. The servers were very friendly and eager to deliver a good experience. There was a mariachi band, getting ready to play, a very festive atmosphere. The menu is challenging if you don't read Spanish, even though some of it is in English. It's my understanding that they offer beef or chicken fajitas and I'll bet those are very good. This restaurant specializes in seafood, so you won't find nachos on the menu.
