We enjoyed celebrating my sisters' birthday here. Servers were so friendly and on top of it - consistently checking on us, getting us refills. I enjoyed the three tacos combo plate. It was good, but is definitely more Mexican-American and less of the authentic Mexican feel and taste. I was thinking it would be more like street tacos. It was still good though! The restaurant is beautiful with big paintings and murals on the walls. We finished with deep fried ice cream for dessert. It was amazing, with a sweet strawberry sauce on top. They sang to my sister and put a sombrero on her and gave us these delicious churro chips. It was so fun! This place is HORRIBLE. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Like seriously... Taco Bell, Jack in the box, 300ft away... Their food is trash, their customer service is worse. Got a to-go order $80 two meals and a toddler meal. Got everything home. Separated, tiny portions, horrible taste, tortillas hard, stuck together, served on a lovely paper plate¿ Called the "manager" and he asked ME what my suggestion was... there was no apology for the food, or lack there of. Food is acceptable but a bit too pricey for what you don't get. I've given this restaurant numerous chances to change how they treat me but I'm done. If you go alone, be prepared to be ignored and receive substandard service. Food has come warm, not hot. I'm seated by the kitchen. The females glare at you, you're ignored. I won't be going back. We randomly chose this place for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7pm. Place was busy but we got our food fairly quick. It took a bit to get our order in, but it was dinner rush hour. This restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean! The bathroom has beautiful sinks and well maintained. We ordered the horchata.. and they refill for free! We tried this location for the first time and the food was amazing. The restaurant was nice and spacious on the inside. From the street it looked like there were only a few tables but there are many tables past the hostess counter. The chips were hot and fresh along with the salsa. I ordered the crab burrito and my wife ordered the chile verde burrito. Both were amazing. The guacamole was delicious and the kids loved it. The staff were so friendly and the service was quick. I've gone here a few times in the last couple weeks. I guess that says enough, right? The food is delicious! The service is great! It's not a huge restaurant but I've come in with a group of 8 and another occasion with a group of 23. On all occasions we were seated rather quickly and attended to kindly! You don't always get that with a group of 23 nowadays! The owner has come around and made conversation with us which has made us feel as valued customers. We've had different servers every time and every time it's excellent service. The nachos are delicious! Highly recommend! All the other food we've tasted though too has been authentic and tasty! Busy restaurant. Customer service is great. Food is great and drinks are awesome. I love their drinking glasses as well as their kid cups. I got a funky appetizer called no name. It consisted of a large taquito smother in lots of cheese. I decided to get it as a meal, but it's more for sharing. The chicken inside was on the dry side and didn't have a whole lot of taste. I have been coming to this location (out of town) for about 15 years. This place is always a good go to. Service is excellent. Always have had great service there, plenty of staff, very attentive-always there for chips and drinks refill. Chips- come out warm! So goood. The salsa, pico & the cheese dip are also winners. Chicken tortilla soup is amazing, one of the better ones I've had. With nice fresh chunks of avocado on top. Rice and refried beans are also solid. Not solid: chili relleno. I've had lots of chili relleno, including authentic homemade. What I had here was like a plobano pepper in a omelette. It was too eggy, not whipped egg whites like you're supposed to do and fry in oil. It was like a full egg omelette with a full pepper inside. Large portions and food was delicious, best part is they make their tortillas fresh in the restaurant. The corn tortillas were very soft and tasty. My wife and I met our friends here for our monthly Taco Tuesday meet. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs were easily and accurately split. Ixtapa doesn't offer a daily happy hour; however, the bar does offer different daily specials. On Tuesday's, crunchy ground beef or chicken tacos are $0.99 and soft shell tacos are $1.50. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided to munch on while slurping draft beer. Not all Ixtapa's have draft beer or a bar. I'm happy that this location has both. The bar is small and fills quickly. Pints of Dos Equis were $4.50. My wife ordered a side of Bean Dip for $1.50. The Bean Dip had a tasty layer of chile verde sauce on it. Nice touch. We each had a couple crunchy ground beef tacos for $0.99 each. The tacos had a nice amount of well seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce and cheese blend. I love tacos. The special was carne asada and it was $28. The same exact meal on regular menu was $27. I told server I'd have the one on regular menu and pointed out the price difference and how strange a "special" cost more. He laughed and said yah that's weird, but there is only 1 button for me to press so it'll be the "special" price, nothing I can do. WTH? The meal was so flavorless (worst carne asada I've ever had) and small portions and outrageous price. When bill came (at the special price of $28) I said you need to tell the mgr this is not right. They use canned hamburger on their dishes that are "beef" it is red, does not even look like beef, the exact texture that the Lahacienda uses in Marysville! Horrible! The shells for the chalupas were COLD and tasted stale! The guacamole had more onions than avocado! The value of food has hit an all time low! Had the worst experience with Ixtapa in Lake Stevens, WA. Ordered carryout and arrived home to find out we were missing part of our order. Called them back and let them know. They informed me that I was not charged for the Item. I then looked over my receipt and noticed that I was charged $16.95 for a side of Mojo de Ajo Camarones in addition to my Carne Asada for $24.00. I expressed my frustration with the total cost of my order for such a little amount of food. Went to Ixtapa with a couple friends to use their buy one get one meal offer. The waitress said the coupon would work but could not be used with the lunch specials. So we found something else to order that wasn't a lunch special. We ordered, ate our food and got our bill. Over 50 dollars for 2 meals and 2 drinks. They only honored 10 dollars off the meal. Even though nothing on the menu is 10 dollars... how is that buy one get one free? When questioned the waitress literally said "not my problem, thats how it is!" Had the waitress said that to begin with we would have just ordered lunch specials and saved money. Then when paying waitress never gave us our change. We had to ask for our change back from another waitress as no change or receipt was brought to us. The food nor service was great. Do not recommend! read more

The chicken Fajitas are good, they come on a large hot plate with two plates of sides to load up with. The service here was also very good and quite attentive. My one complaint is the price. It seems that Ixtapa is raising its prices yearly now and every dinner item is now $19.95 regardless of it being beef, chicken or prawns. Don't get me wrong $20 isn't bad for some dinners, but for chicken Mole or Arroz Con Pollo, it's just too much for what you get. However, I was very hungry and saw the sign for the place in Redmond so I stopped in there. The food was okay but there was no welcoming feeling like I always experience in Duvall.
