So as we continue to hit some of our favorites from the past, we have been dying to take my wife's mom to our new favorite fish spot. So it's Saturday and we came. We started out with some really good chips and salsa. Chips are fried in house. Salsa verde was good, not too spicy with just the right amount of heat. The Pescado taco was very good. Really good fish size to taco ratio. Fish fit from end to end with the normal taco salsa/fixings were fresh. Very good taste. Also had a very good dipping sauce on the side. We also ordered my mother in law a campechana. This is seafood cocktail with shrimp, crab, and octopus. It was rather big so are taking some of it home for later. Saving the best for last is Zarandeado fish. This a fish the is grilled to perfection. It costs $55 but it is so worth it. It is so flavorful and delicious. This fish just flakes off the bones and is moist and just so damn good. We are coming back at least 2-3 more times this year just for this fish. You have to come here. It is not big but always busy. And don't forget to order the fish.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted and seated right away. It's a small restaurant with a good amount of seating indoors. The staff members were very friendly and actually learned a lot about the items on the menu from Ismael. I ordered the pescado zarandeado and it was probably the best fish I've ever had. The seasoning made it taste amazing. I recommend ordering it with hand made tortillas. Everything on the menu sounds amazing and will come back to try other things.

Food is good but service is mediocre and I couldn't get a drink at the bar while I waited for a table. I was told if I got a drink I couldn't be seated. Which just does not seem right. Honestly, if the fish wasn't so good and hadn't brought people to eat, I would have left. Been here many times and this was a busy Mother's Day but. The bar was free and I don't see why I couldn't get a drink while I waited. Defiantly the Pescado Zarandeado is the ticket here. I like to pair it with the cucarachas to get the extra sauce on the fish. read more

We came to El Muelle de San Blas expecting great things after seeing all the hype on TikTok, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. The service was disappointing, our server only came by to take our order and then again when it was time to pay. Other than that, we barely saw her. We ordered four different plates, and honestly the only standout dish was the aguachiles. Everything else was pretty underwhelming and not something I would order again. If you're looking for quality seafood, I would much rather recommend Ostioneria Colima in La Habra. The only reason I might come back is to try the pescado zarandeado deals, but beyond that, nothing really makes me want to return. Overall, the experience did not match the hype. read more

I came from Riverside to try this place and was extremely disappointed Horrible service! They had like 4 tables open and servers were just walking around and had us standing there just staring us, no greeting or anything. We waited like 10mins and no one came to help us out. read more

The food is ok but the service is bad. 3 waitresses busing and serving on a Mother's Day weekend. I want to assume they were understaffed. Customer services definitely need improvement. The host/waitress did not properly welcome us and signed us in. Immediately providing rules regarding waiting outside since the door could not be open. The party in front of us left. We stuck behind and waited inside. She then sat us and we sat the 6 or more 18 percent auto gratuity added. Please improve your customer service. I won't be returning. read more

Service was slow and the staff seemed so bothered for any question. From the beginning we had called to ask if they were busy and when asked for a wait they answered so abruptly and then hung up the phone when we still had questions. We arrived with a party of 6. A party of 5 had gotten there a little before us and the waitress came over and said oh if you guys are in a party you guys have to wait outside and then we'll seat you guys to eat but the door has to be closed. That seemed so odd as the door had been open the entire time. She basically said it in a tone hoping to kick us out. Please improve your service, the environment being so hostile to customers is really disappointing. And on top of that 18% gratuity is auto added. So unfortunate. read more

I don't know about you guys but the damn shrimp cocktail has waaaay too much salt in it and it's still flavorless. Not only that, but you guys threw in completely raw shrimp in the ceviche and told my girl that's how she's supposed to eat it. Nah bro, nobody wants to eat completely raw shrimp. The service here is terrible! We walked in and they are not busy but no one acknowledges us. The servers walked by multiple times and they did not say hello, or we will be with you shortly. Nothing at all. When we asked for menus, the woman very upset gave them to us. Then they go to clean off tables instead of saying hello. More than 15 minutes later they still didn't come around or say hello. Eye rolls, bad attitudes, and piss poor customer service is what you can expect from this place. read more

First of all our waitress seemed as if there making her work there against her own will did not have a welcoming attitude at all it almost seemed like she was upset that we came to eat here and she had to work. Best place hands down for seafood. I love the molcajete comes with shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, carne asada, chicken, chorizo, nopales, queso panela, and grilled onion. The salsa they use on the molcajete it is so good. Comes with rice, beans and salad. We always have great service from Karen making sure we have our drinks and always very nice. Compliments to the chef Octavio food is always on point. We have tried may different dishes here and all have been great. We come here once a week at least to enjoy the delicious food. read more

The sweetest surprise of the evening was the complimentary birthday dessert. A slice of pistachio tres leches cake. I love tres leches but I've never had a pistachio version before. It was incredibly moist & rich without being too heavy. The pistachios added the perfect crunch & nutty flavor. It was one of the highlights of the meal. One small detail I always appreciate is that they bring a pitcher of water to the table. This makes it easy to refill your glass throughout the meal without waiting. My biggest concern, however, was what I witnessed with the condiments. When you order menudo, they bring a plate with limes, onions, and chili. I watched two employees clear tables, throw away some items, but keep the unused onions and uncut lime wedges from customers' plates and take them back into the kitchen to be served again. Even if I didn't use all of the onions or limes, that doesn't mean I didn't touch them. Reusing food that has already been on a customer's table is unsanitary and unacceptable. After seeing that, it made me wonder whether other items, like leftover chips, might also be reused. Whether or not that's the case, what I witnessed was enough to make me lose confidence in their food handling practices. Unfortunately, I won't be returning

The service from the moment I walked in, until I left was amazing. The lady and Ismael were very attentive and I received my food very quickly. The food was a 10/10 and I definitely plan on coming back and would recommend anyone to come try this place if they haven't. There is plenty of seating for small and large parties.
